Scarlett’s POV

It was Freda, the wise old wolf from the werewolf world! She had transformed into an old woman, so I hadn't recognized her at first. Memories flooded back as I remembered our encounter, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. At least I wasn't alone in this strange situation.

"Freda?" I said, disbelief written all over my face.

"Yes, child. It's me," she replied with a gentle smile.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, feeling grateful for the chance to talk to someone who had been through what I was experiencing.

"I could ask you the same thing," Freda said, her eyes twinkling. "But I suspect we both know the answer to that."
