Chapter 34

Kember let go first but Kiera didn’t seem to want to. She pulled away from me after a few moments. “I love you, Ramses. I’m glad you’re ok.” She said, and she kissed my cheek softly. Then she turned away and started walking with her sister. She hung onto my hand until the last second when she finally let go.

“I know you do, beautiful.” I said softly under my breath but I knew she heard me. I then materialized to Katrina.

She was in her bedroom, lying in her bed. Still unconscious, but her heart rate was increasing so I figured she would wake up here soon.

To my surprise, Rowen wasn’t in her room with her. I sat on the bed next to her and I just took in every feature. She was so beautiful, even in this state, covered in soot and dried blood. I was the luckiest man in the world to have her attention.

I know just how my brother, Rowen, was feeling too. I know it had only been a few days for him, but it didn’t take long to realize how special this woman was… I moved some of

Chapter 35(Rowen)“You will be ok, this is going to work. Everything is perfect.” I whispered into Katrina’s ear. I could tell she was extremely stressed trying to make sure everything was perfect. She seemed to overthink things and overstress in serious situations, but she always made sure shit was perfect. In fact, she was perfect. I sat there for a moment and just admired her. Even in her most stressed out state, she was radiant. We were sitting here, in her living room with six blindfolded women. All of which we were about to murder, in order to open a magical portal to save my brother. Katrina was calm and collected on the outside, though I know her emotions were raging on the inside. I couldn’t believe it, but I think I was falling for her. I couldn’t be... I had known her, actually known her, for a total of four days. And in those four days, it's been chaos and total hell. But I couldn’t deny that my feelings were growing.I knew she liked me, but it wasn’t me she liked. It

Chapter 36I exhaled a sigh of relief, Katrina was with them. I heard Ramses exhale too, at the same time. We took the battle back to the ground, helping with an onslaught of ice shards to help weaken him while the Witches did their work. Within seconds he had rolled over on his side and his wings retreated. He was no longer a threat. The Witches spell repressed his powers and he was just a harmless man now. Kiera and Kember walked over and stood by him, ensuring that the spell worked and he wouldn’t be a threat. I turned to look at Katrina just in time to see her fall. I materialized behind her and caught her before she hit the ground. I didn’t care how it looked. I didn’t even care that Ramses was standing right there when I did it. All I cared about was her. She was bleeding from the side of her face and out of her nose. I placed my hand over her head to heal her so the blood would stop. I saw Ramses take a couple of steps back and survey the scenery. I didn’t really have time t

Chapter 37“Wow, six people huh? That’s a lot of blood, darlin.” Ramses said. I looked at Katrina to see how she would respond, I know she was really stressed about killing so many people. But she seemed fine. “I know, and I would do it again, if I had to. I wouldn’t even flinch.” She said with conviction. I was proud of her at that moment. She sounded so strong, so confident. “I am lucky to have you in my life, I don’t deserve you, darlin.” Ramses said to her. She then put her hand to her head and she looked like she was about to pass out. I refrained from running to her side because Ramses steadied her with his hand on her waist. “We should get you to bed, it's late.” He said, and he scooped her up in his arms and headed towards the bedroom. I threw back the rest of my brandy. Well, all of it really, as I hadn’t even touched it yet. Then I heard Ramses walk back out into the kitchen. “She has requested that you stay with us tonight.” Ramses said to me. I raised my eyebrow at him.

Chapter 38(Ramses)Katrina grabbed my hand and we headed towards the shower. It felt like I hadn’t seen her in ages, and I was definitely feeling it. She turned the shower on and then discarded her shorts, leaving her in just a tank top. I could see her nipples through it, which instantly made me hard. I whipped my boxers off and flashed her a million dollar smile as I watched her look straight at my erect member. I knew exactly what she was thinking, even if I couldn't hear her thoughts. I closed the gap between us and our lips met. It was like a fire erupted around us. Nothing else mattered but her and I, and this moment. It was almost like being on The Otherside made me appreciate this realm a hell of a lot more. I really missed Katrina while I was there, and it wasn’t just the sex. It was her as a whole. I just missed her. We made our way into the shower, our lips never parting. I discarded her shirt with one swift motion. I then started kissing down her neck causing her to mo

Chapter 39He had a point though, that could actually work. We would have to discard his body, but we could lock it in a coffin and let it sink to the bottom of the bermuda triangle, for all I cared. That would be the easy part. Getting him over there and then cutting the tether would be the hard part. I turned to Katrina. “What if we sent him to The Otherside via magic, then cut the tether?” I said. Her face got a concerned look on it and Kember started to protest but Katrina hushed her, which I thought was a little strange. “That could work! We can get working on a spell to send him over there!” Katrina said, and she went into a huddle with her sisters whispering about something. I wanted to turn on my Vampire hearing, but with no magic in this area I couldn’t if I tried. They were most likely just talking about the spell anyways. My brothers and I started heading towards the Witches and they stopped talking as soon as we crossed the barrier. It was a little weird but things were

Chapter 40Rowen stayed with me for the next few hours while we brainstormed other ways to get rid of Sage without killing him. “This whole fucking situation would be so much easier if we could just rip his fucking throat out.” Rowen bitched. “Trust me, brother, I know. Katrina would kill us both if that were to happen though.” I said, and he agreed. The last thing we wanted to do was piss off Katrina. That was definitely not on our to do list. Plus, if we wanted to tag team her later, there was no pissing her off. Titan laughed at my thought. “You sure you can handle tag teaming her with your brother?” Titan cackled. I rolled my eyes. How would it be any different than any other tag team with my brother?” I howled back. “Well duh, because it’s Katrina.” Titan said. I waited for him to say anything relevant, but he didn’t. “I know it’s Katrina, but why would that make any difference if we tag teamed her?” I asked curiously. I was genuinely interested in my Wolf’s point of view on th

Chapter 41Rowen didn’t say anything, but I could tell by the look in his eyes, he wasn’t here to talk. He closed the gap between us and smashed his lips against mine, taking my face in his palm while shutting the door behind us. He pushed me up against it and pinned both of my hands above my head with one hand. He caught my gaze before he started slowly tracing down my neck and chest with his free hand. His touch triggered goosebumps to sprout along my entire spine. He then followed his trace marks with an assault of kisses, causing me to gasp out loud. “Rowen, what ar…” I tried to ask him but he stopped me with another deep kiss. He pulled away for a moment and we locked eyes. I could see the passion burning in his rose gold eyes. It wasn’t just lust, it was more. It was deep… Raw, and real. It was love... Neither of us spoke, we just sat in that moment trying to wrap our heads around what we were doing. He softly kissed me. “Is this ok?” Rowen whispered against my lips. “I don’t

Chapter 42(Ramses) I had already finished getting dressed and Katrina headed into the shower leaving Rowen and myself in her bedroom. We walked out to her kitchen and we both snapped to produce brandy at the same time, laughing when it appeared and turned our respective colors, instantly, and at the same time. Of all my brothers, I was the closest with Rowen. We had been through a lot together, and I always had his back, same as he has mine. “I can see why you love her so much.” Rowen said to me. I raised an eyebrow to him. “I do love her. I have for a long, long time. But you know me, brother… Love is such a permanent word.” I said, then took a sip of my brandy. “I know, but she knows you love her. Even if you don’t say it.” He replied. “I do try and show her that, everyday.” I said. “You realize this was a first and last for her with both of us, right?” Rowen said. I nodded to him. I did know. I knew my brother well. And I could tell by his actions before we even started,

Chapter 57“Ramses. Hey baby.” Katrina’s silky voice reverberated through my head as my eyes fluttered open slowly. It took me a moment to gather my bearings. Everything was blurry, I felt like I hadn’t opened my eyes in weeks and the light was burning them. “Titan?” I mumbled. “I’m here man!” He replied back in my head. “Oh thank god, I thought you were gone forever.” I murmured. “I told you I would be here!” He replied. I just nodded my head. “Ramses.” Katrina said. I opened my eyes again and tried to focus on her. “Huh? I replied back. She let out a breath I don’t think she was aware she was holding. After a moment things started to clear up and I was able to focus on Katrina’s beautiful face. I smiled at her. “Oh, darlin.” I said, and I sat up and pulled her into my arms. “Ramses, I’m so glad you’re back!” Katrina said, and she held me tightly. I kissed the top of her head and then I looked around. “Darlin, why are we on the floor in the living room?” I asked with a smile. “Re

I’m just not in the right mindset for this right now. I’m sorry.” I said, and I turned and walked away, leaving her standing there in shock. “You ok man? I can’t believe you turned her down… I mean, I get it, but… DAMN.” Titan howled. “I know, ugh… Dude I can't get Katrina out of my mind. This shit is ridiculous. I know she needs to be with Rowen. I'm no good for her. I don't deserve her, and I never have. But for the life of me I can’t even fuck someone else right now and not feel guilty about it. I just feel guilty. This fucking sucks. It’s like the higher up we go the more damage there is.” Titan growled back. “We only have 1 more floor left dude. As much as I don’t want to leave you, because you are bad ass as fuck, my friend… I have to get back to Katrina.” I said to my Wolf. “What was she crying about earlier anyways?” I asked Titan. “Oh, you saw that?” Titan said sheepishly. “Well by accident, I came around the corner to tell Katrina something and saw her crying holding onto you. I thought it was better to let her be, so I just turned around and kept working.” I said. “Oh, yea… Well, she was just having a hard time with Rowen leaving soon. You know, the usual.” Titan said. “You’re hiding something, I can tell.” I said. My Wolf rolled his eyes at me. “Well she watched the memory of you and Rowen, when you asked him to promise you that he would take

He must be working on the last floor in his mind.” I said out loud, hoping that this distraction would help everyone to forget about why I came back so soon. We could chalk it off as a random occurrence.I let out a sigh of relief. As much as I was going to miss Rowen, I really wanted Ramses back. I was starting to come to terms with Rowen being gone, and I figured now was as good a time as any to talk to him about it all.“Rowen, can we talk for a while?” I asked him. “Of course, doll. Where would you like to go?” He asked, taking my hand in his and kissing the back of it.“We will be back in a little while, please mind link Rowen if Ramses wake’s up… But I am guessing it won't be for a little while longer.” I said to Raziel, more than anyone. He nodded to me and then turned back to Kember, who was sitting on his lap. I can only hope that she can accept me the way I am… Because you know as well as I do that I will never change. I can’t be committed, I can't just have one woman. I just… you know me. And I hope she can understand how I am. Those other bitches will never shine in comparison to Katrina. She's like a goddess among peons when it comes to any other woman. But I will tell you, I will never stop fighting for her attention, her love, her affection. Never.” Ramses said. Rowen was just smiling, drinking rose gold brandy. “I need something from you though, brother.” Ramses said. “Oh? And what would that be?” Rowen said. Ramses went to his brother and put his hand on his shoulder. “If anything were to happen to me… I need you to promise to look out for Katrina. Instead, I was greeted by a pair of large hands grabbing me and lifting up. “Katrina! Darlin, how are you here!?” Ramses said, as he wrapped me in a bear hug. Titan bounded around the corner just in time to see our lips meet. “Ramses! I’m so happy to see you!” I said, after he let me down and I caught my breath. “I’m sorry I haven’t made it back yet, there’s been so much fuckery here. Titan and I have been cleaning for hours and we still aren’t close to done. I’m afraid it’s going to take longer than I originally thought.” He said. “You've been in a coma for a week.” I said softly. Ramses looked at me with confusion on his face. “What? A week?? Chapter 51The elevator door opened on floor 3 to reveal men and women dressed in peacock feathers, and that was about it. They were wandering the spaces between the other areas and it looked like each area was a different theme. I saw girls dancing choreography. I saw acting and plays, role playing, improvisation. It seemed like every section was something different. Multiple times on this floor I had women run up to me and try to pull me into their areas to help with whatever it was they were doing at the time. I had to politely decline and keep on track. It could be so distracting in here, I didn’t see how Ramses got anything accomplished with all these women trying to stop him all the time. I just ignored everyone and found the elevator but it was already going up, it was on floor 11 when it stopped. “Strange… I thought I was the only one using the elevator. It seemed that each of the men and women stayed on their respective floors. I could be wrong, but I just hadn’t seen anyo

Chapter 50We stayed in the ocean for a few more hours just enjoying eachothers company before materializing back to my house. We then hopped in the shower and got ready for bed. We were lying down on my bed and I was next to Ramses but tangled in Rowens arms. Our getaway was really great, but now it was back to real life and I was once again thinking of ways to help Ramses. Then I had an idea! What if we tethered myself to Ramses? He doesn’t have any protection in his mind so I could access it easily. I might be able to access the damaged parts and possibly help put them back together? “Rowen! What if we tethered myself to Ramses? I could go into his mind and possibly help find the damaged parts and fix them.” I said, sitting up out of bed and straddling Rowen so he had to listen to me and couldn’t get away. I saw a flash of something in his eyes, but I wasn’t sure just what it was. “Katrina, It could work. Is there a way to get you back after a certain timeframe if it doesn't?” R

Chapter 49(Katrina)It had been a week since Ramses went into his coma after we severed the tether. I still had hope that he could come out of this. I knew healing would take time, and in his own mind there may have been a lot more damage than we expected. I had no idea what was happening inside Ramses’ mind, but I hoped he was able to fix it. We had never done anything like this before, and so we honestly had no idea what to expect. I was extremely grateful for Rowen. He stayed with me this entire time, never leaving me alone. I knew he didn’t want to stay, he wanted to cut ties with me the night Ramses went into his coma. But once he didn’t wake up, Rowen couldn’t bear to leave me alone. I don’t think I could ever repay him, honestly. The week was spent mostly stressing about Ramses and how to help him heal. His brothers visited every couple of days to check on him, and try and heal him but it didn’t seem to work. Their type of healing worked on the body, not the mind, apparentl
