Chapter 6

We watch as she eats and drinks her milk. Scott sat across from her watching her eat. I make eye contact with him and he grins. Fuck he wants her to but doesn't say it. He goes right back to staring.

Seth was showing her a game on his phone and chuckled when she lost. Her pout was seriously adorable. Steven just ate and watched us all.

Alexis pushed her plate away and yawned as the pills kicked in. She smiled weakly at us and got up. She must have been dizzy because she swayed, making me grab her. Fuck she is a light weight when it comes to pain pills. Note to self keep an eye on her when she is drugged.

" You tired kitten?" She yawns so cute.

She nodded and let me scoop her up and carry her to bed. I lay her down and crawl in with her. She snuggles up to me and quickly passes out. I need her to be okay enough to read her mom's note and check out the big envelope her mom gave her. What was in it ? No I'm not gonna invade her privacy but I'm curious as hell.

" my kitten, I whisper, kissing her cheek, you're mine now". She will be once I get my shit together and I hope I don't scare her.

I fell asleep holding her and smiling. I wake the next day to an empty bed and a quiet house. I get up and hustle downstairs. Alexis is at my table reading documents and then the letter her mom sent with the guys. She looks so heartbroken it sucks. She is trembling as she reads what she is holding. Tears fall and the guys wince watching her cry.

Tears fall as she drops it and covers her face. Her body shakes as she tries to muffle her sobs. I walk up and pull her into my arms gently. What happened?

" What is a kitten?"

She winces and wipes her face.

" my mom said....my mom wrote that it was a mistake that she cheated on dad and he isn't my real dad. My siblings aren't my full brother and sister. My father is a rich business man from Texas. My sister found out and told Mitch and their dad. The abuse started shortly after They knew about all of the bullying and figured I would be fine with it. She said I could have stood up for myself but my half siblings had a right to be upset".

She looked up at me and sighed.

" they knew about the abuse and let it continue. She said they wanted me dead but she begged for my life. My dad said I was too weak to be his and he was happy when he found out I wasn't. He wanted to ship me off but she begged him to keep me around. My whole life was a lie".

I pulled her in my arms and kissed her head. She felt so fucking good in my arms. I just rocked her gently trying to calm her down. I kissed her head which mid kiss to her head I freeze I gotta stop doing this she isn't fully mine. Scott raises an eyebrow with a knowing smirk on his face. I shoot him the middle finger and stroke her hair.

" We have you now kitten and I swear no one will hurt you again. We won't let them sweetheart, we will make sure you're safe. Just let us help you baby ".

She nodded and hugged me. I hated when she cried cause her whole body heaved and I knew it hurt her ribs. She was holding her side as she cried, breaking our hearts. Seth frowned as he ate his food no doubt worrying about her ribs and what this could be doing to them.

I looked up and the guys were there listening as she told me she was mistaken. I kissed her head and held her as the guys sat down at the table. Scott just nodded his head sadly as we listened to her sobs and I carefully held her. She was a mess and we all knew it would take time to get through this mess.

" You have us kitten and that is all you need. We are your family now baby".

I sat down and pulled her in my lap and hugged her. She hugs back shuddering and sniffles fuck why does that sound cute.

It's amazing that she trusts us considering we did bully her and say horrible things to her. I hugged her tighter and breathed in her scent. She yawns cause obviously she was given pain pills again. I play with her hair as she stays still messing with my tshirt.

She sits hugging me back as the others read the documents. Seth calls Mark and tells him to find her real dad. Scott watches as I kiss her head and run fingers through her hair. She snuggles in my arms as she yawns and I feel her body go slack. A chuckle leaves Steven's mouth as she falls asleep clutching my shirt. I look at the guys and every one of them watches her. If her dad is found great but he better not try to take her from us.

He isn't taking her from me..no from us. I vaguely listen as Seth tells Mark her dad's name and where he is from cause my focus is on our girl. Laying in my arms she sleeps like a baby and I draw her closer. After a while I get up slowly so as to not wake her and head to my room. I lay her down and crawl in with her and chuckle as she snuggles into my body.

I can feel her shivering so I cover us up and absently play with her gorgeous hair while I watch her. I'm drawn to this beauty and as to why it is beyond me.

All I know is no one is taking her cause I will fight to keep her here with me.

I kiss her forehead and fight to not drift off.I cover her up and head downstairs to talk to the guys.
