Plip… Plip… Plip.. Hellion wiped off the blood from her face and whisked away her hand covered in blood. Her eyes stared at the beast lying lifeless on the ground with great shock. The recent situation stimulated her so much that her body moved on its own. She had no time to process her thoughts and just as she finally snapped out of it. The feral was already lying in front of her with it’s own pool of blood. Is she the one who killed it? Hellion widened her eyes in disbelief. There was a sudden lump on her throat and she couldn’t breath properly. Her head is a mess and an awful lot of thoughts ran through her brain. I… Hellion gasped. What on earth just happened to her? She eventually heard footsteps approaching her and the smoke slowly show the figure walking in the fog. His feet unexpectedly stopped in front of her. Hellion glance upfront and saw Xegris looking at her silently. He had a menacing look on his face and a very disappointed feeling coming off from him. This guy, he
There are two continents separating the mortal realm and other race from each other. The first continent includes the Kingdom of Kigona and Vierris while the second continent has the Kingdom of Catatonia that was govern with the were beasts. Next to them was the dwarven island, Nefaria. The sylphs was up high in the sky and below them was Omisus, the territory of mermaids. Although, the sylphs are said to be extinct, few of them were often seen. The two people who traveled the west just reached the city gate of Tantibus, the capital of Catatonia. In the bustling streets, the beast folks look at them with strange eyes. Their gaze particularly fixated on the girl on the man’s shoulder. Their ears perked up in curiosity as they silently watched the man walked and passed by them. Xegris walked with a grim expression in his face. He was apparently exhausted and the burden in his shoulder worsen his mood more. Hellion swayed as he walked and he was carrying her like a sack of rice. She w
Hellion tilted her head as she intently stared at the innkeeper. Her gaze fixated on that pointy ears perking out of her head. It’s moving! Hellion’s eyes beamed and reach out her hand aiming to touch the rabbit lady’s ears. The rabbit sensed her intention and frighteningly back off. Hellion stared at her anxious face. Eh? “D-d-dear Costumer, W-what can I help you with?” The rabbit anxiously asked her as she pulled her ears down making a total cute image in front of the viewer. Hellion blinked her eyes and said. “ Can I touch those?” She pointed her finger on her ears expectantly. The rabbit shook her head and drilled herself on the wall. Hellion retracted her arm, disappointed. Xegris then appeared behind him and glanced at the trembling rabbit lady. He raised his brows at Hellion and then pulled his attention towards the innkeeper. “We’d like to check out.” He said with a smile. Hellion scoffed and just avert her gaze away. She then saw another beast people on the entrance. Sh
The room was intricately decorates with a crystal ceiling, a soft cushion seat and a luxurious tea table between the elegant couches. Xegris put down the cup on the table as he look at the people lazily leaning on his seat. Across the table a person with a similar stature sits in front of him. He looks like a gentleman from a noble household judging by his exquisite clothes. His silver hair was slicked back and his face was cleanly carved with masculinity and is visibly upset as his purple eyes squinted at the person in front of him. “How is she?” Kieffer asked as he crossed his arms. Xegris just smiled at him and didn’t speak. It was such a long time since they talked but he didn’t even received a greeting. This person, he’s still as straight-laced as always. Xegris sat up straight and pour himself a cup. Kieffer silently stared at him and just sighed. “You didn’t torture her that much right?” Kieffer then glanced at him and took a sip on his cup. Xegris chuckled and simply said.
The faint creaks of wood and the often cacophony of the water trickling as she paddle away in silence was the only noise Hellion could hear. Xegris was still deep asleep and she’s been rowing the both for how many nights now. It was their fourth day being castaway in the vast ocean. Hellion survived eating those raw fish she painstakingly tried to catch with her own hands while Xegris only sleep like the dead on the boat’s cabin. He never woken up even once as if he was extremely exhausted. She was doing all the work so how come he’s that tired! He’s not even moving an inch! Hellion would casually glare at him and sometimes smack his navel with the paddle but so far he’d only glare back and go back to sleep looking all helpless and pale. She even thought that Xegris must be seasick but he only sneered at her and stubbornly said he’s not. Hellion just snorted and hardly believe that it was the case. Why was he so afraid to paddle then if he’s not sick! That lying jerk! She then sen
“Where is this?” Hellion asked as she glance over the dead trees on their way. The tree trunk was dark and withered, there’s no leaves on the branches as if the whole forest was cursed with drought. They were traveling into the ocean for a week and finally set foot on the land just yesterday. Though the whole place was somewhat unfamiliar and foreign, it’s rather strange. Are they really somewhere so far away that they won’t ever be found? Hellion silently followed the man in front of him and decide not to say another word. She might’ve realized that her mouth only bring trouble so she chose to shut up. Besides, it must be like the last time they travel across a forest and got attacked by wolves. She wanted to prepare herself and guard up so that she won’t experience that again. And thus she followed him quietly. They walked in the coarse soil as the ground was painted with cracks and footsteps can’t even be print to remember their tracks. Hellion felt bad, her face was sewn into
They say magic was a power bestowed by the gods and the ones who wields the power had sacrifice something in return. The humans and the other race had unique abilities which they have possess since the first war against race. The were beast gave up their will and became the strongest, humans give up the strength and became the smartest, demons give up their sanity and became merciless, sylphs give up their power and attain holiness and elves give up their judgement and became the finest. While the first war had ended, demons won and dominate the world as they began to enslave the other race but no one was happy and satisfied with it. The gods were threatened by the prominent power of the demon race and chose candidates of each race to overpower the demons. They treat them like a plague and the second war had started by a blow of a horn. With the help of the God of Light, the four race suppressed the demon race and little by little they managed to seal them off. The demon race was ca
Hellion cautiously walked into the ruins. She’s been feeling a bit of an eerie atmosphere towards the place. There was nothing particular in her sight but she couldn’t help but feel as if she was being stared at. There were lot of eyes glued on her back and in her side as if something was waiting for an opportunity to jump on her. Hellion stomped her feet as the noise echoed towards the quiet place. She then took out her dagger and sighed. No matter how much she try to make a sound, they are still refusing to come out. The enemies were just five meters away and they’re all hiding themselves in the debris. Hellion counted in her hands as she nonchalantly tossed away the nonsensical book in her arms. Never mind the charm of it bringing her to a dangerous place. The book has been shining in purple light since she held onto it. As long as she get rid of the damn book sooner then she would be fine. Hellion glanced at the cursed book and kicked it away from her making the one hiding nearb
