Chapter 4. Jealousy.

Maddison Spencer-Bennett.

I sighed deeply, because Leonardo was right. I had to choose. And honestly, it was a simple decision. I would not deny what the goddesses were destined for me. No, this was one of the easiest decisions of my life.

I took Alonso’s hand, smiled at him and said, “There’s nothing to choose from, honey. You are mine and I am yours. There is nothing wrong with that. So, out of this, we came out together.”

The smile on his face grew wide and bright. He didn’t say he was proud of my decision, but it showed.

“As you wish, little one. Here we go.”

So, hand in hand, we left, accompanied by Alonso’s bodyguards.

I had done this a million times... walking among journalists and having them bombard you with inappropriate questions. I have had to cultivate the patience to not respond to them in the way my brain was screaming to do so.

And Alonso was no different than me. He also grew up in the public eye, so he was used to dealing with them as well. Maybe he did it much better job than me.

“Princess Maddison, is it true that you usually go out with single men, running away from home?”

“Mr. Corleone, did you split from supermodel Crystal Kane for Princess Maddison?”

“Princess, some think that you are not worthy of the royal throne if you do not have enough respect to wait for your fated mates. Do you have anything to comment on this?”

“Mr. Corleone, do you have serious intentions with the princess? Because of your track record, do you think the kings will accept you?”

Alright... We’ve been through these things alone. But never together. And I’m sure neither he nor I were prepared for this kind of question.

Jealousy is a real bitch!

My grip on his hand tightened, and I felt him do the same. Alonso was angry... No, scratch that. He was so pissed off.

I could feel his wolf on the surface. But his face revealed nothing. Hell! He was very good at this.

Leonardo opened the door and Alonso helped me enter. He closed the door and turned around, facing the press, which left me with my mouth open.

“This is the only thing I will say. Stop asking us, when you know, better than anyone, what the royal protocol is like. Wait for the queen’s statements. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I must go.”

Alonso turned the car around and got in through the other door, while all the journalists present photographed us and kept calling us.

Leonardo started the engine and drove at full speed towards the palace.

I cleared my throat and said, “Crystal Kane? Oh really? I didn’t know you liked that type of woman.” I looked away toward the window.

“Are you jealous, little one?” He asked me with a mocking laugh.

I shrugged, still looking out the window.

“Look at me, little one.”

I didn’t pay attention to him.

He exhaled sharply and grabbed my chin, saying, “I said look at me, little one. Don’t make me punish you.” His voice was dominant and hoarse.

Maybe he could intimidate anyone, but not me.

I raised an eyebrow at him. “Alonso, you are my mate, not my father. Leave the punishments for your children. Not for me.” I threw his hand to the side and looked out the window again while crossing my arms.

“What do you want me to say, Maddison? That everything is a lie? Well yes, it is. I have never had a relationship with her. It was all an invention of the publicity team to avoid comments about my sexuality. I had never been seen with a woman and the rumors increased exponentially. Your parents chose Crystal because she was discreet.”

Now I looked at his face, scandalized. “My parents? Really? Did Mom agree to this?”

He shrugged and sighed. “No. Your mother was furious. She knew how degrading it would be for you if you found out. But the photographs of us going to events were all over the entertainment magazines. She had no choice but to accept it.”

“Was that three years ago? After I turned 18?” I asked him, thoughtful.

Alonso nodded silently. Then he said, “How do you know?”

“Because I remember, clearly, that Mom had all four of my parents sleeping in the guest rooms for a month. We joked with my brothers as I watched my parents beg her to forgive them. And they discussed how they could make things right.”

“That makes sense. In fact, your mother asked me for forgiveness for not being able to prevent it. She felt it could have been handled differently, but it was done.”

“Do you still have contact with Crystal?” I asked him, trying to hide my jealousy.

“She’s my best friend, little one. She knew from the beginning that you were mine. And despite that, she agreed to pretend to be my girlfriend. Your mother made her sign a contract and the clauses she established were final. You know what the queen is like.”

I nodded silently. Yes, she was his friend, and it was likely that she knew Alonso better than he knows himself. But he was mine and I will be queen. There is no woman who equals me and that’s the tee.

Wow, it’s about time you thought like that... Honestly, bitch, I thought you’d never have the guts to see it that way. There is no one equal to us! No fucking cat comes close to our heels...

My conscience with her comments… Thank you, conscience, for sharing my thoughts!

“You didn’t answer me, little one. Are you jealous?”

His question snapped me out of my internal conversation. Since I have nothing to lose, I prefer to be honest.

“I am. I’m jealous that she could be with you for three years… You should have appeared in my life sooner, Alonso.”

Now, I couldn’t hide my anger. He was mine and at 18; I was legally an adult. I could have been with him without problems.

He sighed, hiding his frustration. “I understand your anger, little one. In fact, I also wanted to be with you and I thought that at 18 it was time to claim you.”

He paused, took my hand and traced circles on it. How I love to feel the sparks! And I love he seeks my closeness.

“But you must also understand your parents’ position. The queen thought the same as you. That you were already old enough to know me, but the kings believed you deserved more time to get to know yourself. To go to university and wait for your wolf. Honestly, I found them right, and that’s why I agreed to take Crystal as my girlfriend.”

That’s my mom! I may fight with her all the time, but she will always have my back.

“I just met you and I feel like I can’t be away from you. I can’t imagine how hard that was for you.”

“Little one, I won’t lie to you. It was very hard. My goal was to wait for you at 18. So when you turned that age, I was visiting the pack. And… well… everything I told you happened.”

I sighed and sat on his lap. I put my arms around his neck and kissed his lips. Alonso responded to my kiss and pressed against him.

I pulled away and said, “We are together now and I won’t let anyone take me away from you. You are mine, Alonso.”

“Oh, little one!” And saying nothing else, Alonso attacked my lips again… and I gladly let him.

I straddled his lap, moving on top of his length…

Oh, and how big it was!

I remember when I saw him naked. I didn’t know if he was going to fit inside my tight entrance. But it turned out that it was perfect for me.

While I moved on top of him, Alonso did not stop squeezing my breasts or kissing my neck. I really wanted to feel him inside me!

It took all of his willpower to pull away from me and say, “I love seeing your face when you’re this turned on, little one! But... we’re almost getting into the palace. And I don’t want others to smell what’s mine. So…”

He separated from me and sat me in the seat next to him. “We should cool down…”

He took my hand and kissed my knuckles softly.

I sighed and said, “Are you ready to talk to the queen?”

“Little one, I was born ready. The question is: are you ready to face your parents like the adult you are? Because whatever you decide today, there will be no turning back.”

I smiled at him and said, “I was born ready, too. Come on, it’s time to talk to my mother.”
