Ruined

Connor was extremely grateful for the fact that he hadn't heard any bad reports about Carolina and even though he still held Liliana and Kayla in suspicion, he was glad that he wasn't disturbed in any way even though his mind still wandered off to how Carolina was faring.

The more his heart lingered for her, the more it felt like he should be home and then confess his feelings for her. He also wanted to apologize to her because a part of him felt like the reason why she was not reciprocating his calls was for the fact that she was still annoyed with him.

Maybe he couldn't blame her that much since she would still hold a grudge against him for using the debt her father owed in an exchange for her.
