Pretence

Mirabel's thoughts were not still at peace as she thought of whom might have called her to threaten her with nothing. She was being watched by someone and that bothered her greatly.

Even though Mirabel believed that the caller was Carolina and that her threats were just mere talk, she could not deny the fact that she was scared since the caller's voice did not sound like Carolina's.

She was certain that she had heard that voice before but she could not place her fingers on whom it belonged to or where she had heard it.

"Perhaps, Carolina had hired someone to threaten me because the Caller certainly did not sound anything like Carolina," Mirabel thought aloud, pacing about the room and biting her fingers deep in thought.

"But that voice is strangely familiar and I don't like the creeps it is giving me. As long as I am concerned, the only feminine enemy I have left is Carolina and no other person, so who dares to threaten me with the fact that I am being watched" Mirabel pondered, her f
