Foul play

Connor was starting to worry about the fact that Hardulph could not be reached after calling him several times on the phone.

To crown it all, Mirabel and Luc were nowhere in sight. Connor hadn't laid eyes on them since after that day he accosted Luc on the reason he took Mirabel away forcefully.

Connor was forced to go down to Hardulph's pack house and see for himself what was keeping him away from being in touch for such a long time.

He got to Hardulph's mansion and was welcomed by gloomy faces all around the house. The servants looked so sad and sluggish as they did their different work, the atmosphere in the pack was so unlike it.
