"What is he doing here?"
Shocked, Caden and Aurora turn their heads to see her dad sitting on the couch with a book in his hand. The light in the room was dimmed so the two had not seen him when they came in. Since Aurora could not walk she had insisted that Caden carry her on his back to the gate since Mitchel was there.
"Huh, what are you doing sitting in the dark like a weirdo? Did you have a fight with mom or something?" Aurora asked.
"I did not have a fight with your mother and stop trying to change the subject. Why is he here? And carrying you?"
"He's my chauffeur." Aurora smiled at him.
"And where is he chauffeuring you to?"
Time passed and now there were two weeks until Delta attacked the Fraiser Port. She had tod her parents and they had been making preparations for it. In that time she and Caden spent more time together even though he did not have a lot of information to give her. Usually when something important was about to happen groups would limit their activity and information flowing out.The six higher-ups weren't present at the club anymore. And people from Delta disappeared from the underground. It was the quiet before the storm and Aurora was sure that they would bring their top guys on this. The missing weapons stayed missing and her parents ruled that they stole them to use when they tried to take control of the port.Winning the port would cut off their main source of income so her parents were extremely busy trying to make sure that that di
Aurora froze. She could not see the person fully but their face was prominent. Their eyes rested on hers. She didn't move and just looked at them. Her heart thumped in her chest and she prepared herself to either fight or escape. But then the person just turned their head and walked out of the room.It was a man. He was tall and lean. Dressed casually but he had a gun holstered on his waist. Aurora still kept still and watched him. He could make her lower her guard if he pretended to not do anything and then when she went to move, shoot her.So once he was outside, then did she decide to move. Crouching back down next to Caden she let out a breath, keeping her eyes focused on the outside."What happened?" he asked."Nothing," she mutt
The Fraiser symbol was an 'F' with two guns on either side of it and it was enclosed in a circle."Caden," Aurora grabbed onto his arm."What?" he stopped."Look."She moved away from the door and he walked and looked through it. Once he realized what it was he backed away nodding slowly."Oh,""Oh? Oh? What do you mean oh? What do I do? I'm about to blow this place sky high and then come to realize that these are here. I need something other than oh.""I'm not sure. Is it really that big of a deal if they are here? Your parents gave up on them, right? We have the power here and no
Aurora and Caden sat at the table. Across from them were her parents. They had stern looks on their faces and Aurora immediately knew what it was about. It was obvious, the explosion was all over the news and it didn't take a genius to figure out who did it. It was said that nearly a hundred people died. There were some injured who made it out alive but mostly dead people. She didn't feel bad for what she did. Maybe Caden felt bad because he wasn't one set out for this kind of life but he decided to join her and so that was what he gets."You know, doing this sort of thing isn't really going to stop them." her mother said."But it will slow them down." Aurora sat up. "You know, the weapons they stole were in that building.""What?!" b
"Aurora!" a voice echoed through the hall. She looked up from her position and saw Caden and Chelly enter the locker room."You fight started, what happened..." Chelly's voice trailed off when he saw the scene."What happened?" he rushed towards her and bent down, gently touching her face."I had a bit of a situation." she laughed softly.Chelly looked at the girl who was cowering against the wall. He gave her a dirty look. "I'm going to call security.""No, no." Aurora held his arm. "It's ok. I have this under control."Caden crouched on her other side and he moved her face so tha
Caden looked at Aurora sleeping. Her swelling had gone down but it still looked bad. It would be funny if not for the fact that she got punched in her face. He had been trying with her, trying to understand her and where her thoughts come from. They spent alot of time together and he had come to do just that.He considered her a friend and he was glad that she considered him one too. Life was a little lonely and he was glad that she was in it. He was sure that he would be living in the house if it weren't for her parents. She had come to trust him but they couldn't. All Caden wanted was to take down Delta but they couldn't see that.He turned off her tv and headed back to the hotel. He had a nice view of the city as he was located on the top floor. Aurora went a little overboard and paid for his stay to be all-inclusive. He really only
Along with some other people, Caden and Aurora lay on top of a building overlooking the port. It was the day of the attack and it was around six in the morning. They were waiting for the attack to start. After her parents were told that the port was not their goal they made sure that the house and their warehouses in New York and Germany were all secure. They beefed up security and told Aurora that she was not allowed to leave the house. Of course, that didn't stop her from sneaking out with Caden. They were at some other point in the port and had a full view of the gates. Her parents were nearby but had no idea that she was there. They would of course through a fit when they figure out she was here. Aurora's mom was really stressed and very particular about her location. All she needed to do was help out of it came to that but try to s
When Aurora regained consciousness she was in a hotel room. Her immediate thought was that she was naked and would be chained to the bed but when she sat up and looked down, she saw that she was fully clothed and was not restrained in any way."Huh?"Aurora looked around and saw that the wall to her left was actually a large window and she had a view of New York. Ok, so at least she was still in the country. She didn't recognize the hotel from the room. It looked to be night time and there was a lamp on the table next to the bed that illuminated the room. There was only one bed and there was a tv in front of her. She saw a door to her right and assumed that it was the bathroom and then another one further down a little hallway and that had to be the exit. There was no one else in the r
Aurora and Caden talked for hours after that. She was not sure how he could have not blown up on her and crushed her brains while she complained as if she really had it hard in life. Compared to Caden and most of the world, Aurora was living like royalty. But she told him about all that she was thinking and he listened to her every word. It seemed like there was something about England that brought these things out. How many emotions and problems was she going to have to face before they left the country. Damn.Caden chuckled. "I never expected that you were thinking like this. You are always so sure of yourself.""Yeah with things that don't really revolve around feelings." Aurora pouted. "But whatever. I told you what was upsetting me, so there. I think it's time to move on from this now."Caden gave her a look as she pushed herself upright on the bed. "All that dumping
Aurora had run away. It was obvious that she would by the time he stepped out of the bathroom. Ok, so maybe he should not have opened the shower door, but he wanted to make her know that he was being serious. And so after getting smacked in the face, he went back to his room and waited. But then he waited, and waited, hoping that she would come to him but that never happened.Aurora is stubborn and kind of fearless. Even if she did not know anything about England, she would surely leave the hotel and go around in an attempt to lose him. And although he knew that she could more than defend herself against someone who tried to cause her trouble. He could be one hundred percent certain that she would come back unscathed. He was supposed to be her bodyguard after all.Casey left his room with the intent to have to search for her for hours, but as he was passing through the lobby, he caught a glimpse of her through the glass panels o
The next day Aurora and Caden spent time together, she was trying to get over all that had happened and so they went out of the hotel to look at all that England had to offer. They walked through the towns and shopped a lot. They were not in London but Aurora planned to go there at some point in the trip. She also wanted to stop by Paris for a day or two.“Aurora I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that bag somewhere in your closet.” Caden took the handbag from her. “You don’t need it.”“Yes, I do. And I'm not sure what you’re talking about. I’ve never seen this bag before. Maybe because you're a man you think all bags look the same.” Aurora studied the designs on the bag. It was a light green bag with darker green flowers and leaves with gold detailing. It was simply gorgeous and she had to have it.
“What- what happened?” Caden asked as Aurora held into him for dear life. She hated that she was feeling like this. A part of her wishes was that she was still selfish just so that she would not have to feel like this. She would just go about acting like everything was done for her benefit and not thinking about the other people in her life. Things were simpler back when she was a spoiled brat. Carson didn’t seem to have a problem with her acting like that and he seemed to even indulge her sometimes. Yes, there were times when he would tell her that she was being too bratty but that did not happen too often.Maybe she could blame all of this on her parents. They were not as attentive as she wanted them to be and to solve that, they gave her money in place of their affection. They were real charmers in that department. Aurora felt most of the time that they just preferred the company of each other and only had her just so
When Aurora finally left the family home, it was well into the next day. And she was not complaining one bit. She lived every second of it. Carson’s family is really filled with love and acceptance. After she had found out that most of them knew who she was, all Aurora did was act like she didn't know anything. If they had a problem with who she was then they would not have been so welcoming. She did want to clear it up with everyone that Carson had never killed anyone but she was sure the girl would tell them. Aurora was the one who had blood on her hands. But it was good that he did not know that. All the things that happened in New York, and he just knew that surface. If he knew that she did underground fights, killed people, almost died, and had a boyfriend, he would feel responsible for not being there to take care of her, and Carson feeling guilty was the last thing she wanted. So she kept it all to herself. “Head up quickly now, d
They did not speak for the remainder of the day. They slept in their separate room and that was that. After she had told Caden her thoughts, he didn’t say anything and just walked off. He needed to understand that Carson’s opinion about her was the one she cared about the most. Yes, she did like Caden, maybe she liked him a little too much. But she could not tell Carson until she was ready. When the time came for him to pick them up to go to meet his family Caden never showed. She had knocked on his door and told him but he never came out and so she was forced to leave without him. Carson was confused but she just told him that he was feeling sick. Aurora did understand what Caden was saying, but she hoped that he understood what she was saying. Not everything could work out the way he wanted and she wanted him to be a little patient. She would tell him. Just not yet. Pushin Caden out of her mind, for the time being, sh
As soon as Aurora saw Carson she launched herself onto him. Her eyes watered in relief once she was able to hold him. It seemed that as soon as he left, life fell apart and he was not there to help her. She would have done anything to have his support after she had gotten kidnapped or after she had her little fight with Caden.Speaking of Caden, he just stood awkwardly behind them while Aurora hugged the life out of her former bodyguard.“I missed you so much.” she exhaled.“I missed you too. A lot more than I thought I would to be honest.” he chuckled.“Well of course you did. You spent so much time with us.” Aurora beamed.Once she had pulled herself away from the hug but still attached her arm around his, was when Carson noticed Caden.“You brought your bodyguard. Are you still going at his throat? I heard from your parents that
"The UK? Why?""Because I want to see Carson. I haven't seen him in a long time and after all that happened I really want to see him."He sighed. "You're still so obsessed with him. You cried and cried when he left. I seriously thought there was something wrong with you."Aurora rolled her eyes. "Carson will always be my favorite person. It is mandatory that I get to see him. It is crucial for my survival.""Sure it is.""Listen, you don't have to go if you don't want to. But I'm going.""No, I'll go. I want to also meet him properly. And see what all the hype is about. How awesome of a person can Carson be?"
Aurora sat on her bed scrolling through an article about Delta. The phone they gave to the police had alot of information on it that helped to expose alot of their crimes. Many girls have been recovered from various locations, hideouts have been raided and more than three hundred people have been arrested. Of those three hundred was the entire group of higher-ups that would go to the club. There has been no information about the top four who run the operation. It seems like they went into hiding when things got tough. No one from the six knows how to contact them. It seems like the four would reach out first and then the number or email would be unavailable after that. She was more than happy that they were getting what they deserved."Hopefully this city can become a safer place." she
