In an exquisite bedroom of the palace, a Princess was seated with a gloomy face. A day ago, her husband was forced to go on a dangerous mission to conquer political negotiations for the Kingdom of Andorra. Failure, would mean death to her beloved. So the Princess was worried sick. She hadn't heard anything since then, tears began to trickle down her rosy cheeks.
'Oh my Jake, how could you have been so foolish. How could you take on such a fatal task, now there's no word. Does this mean there was no survival?'
While the Princess was meditating on the issue, she suddenly heard a faint sound of trumpets and some noise.
'Huh? What's that sound?' Dohana stood up, rushed over and put on her slippers before dashing out the door hurriedly.
Dohana saw other royal
It had only been a few minutes since they had returned, but the Legend of Jake 'the negotiator' had already spread among the people. The soldiers quickly exaggerated the story and made Jake's defeat of the giant literal. At the Kings lounge, the highest ranking of soldiers were seated, with Jake sitting as the highest guest of honour. The elders of the royal house as well as the Queen toasted to their victory, clashing their wine glasses against each other. The Queen had quickly prepared a banquet under pressure from the elders. Jake's triumph was to be celebrated tonight. An elder picked up a glass and cheerfully said, "to the negotiator, for successfully retreating the enemy back to the barrier." "To the negotiator!" Everyone else shouted in unison and gulped down their wine.
The Prince shot up onto his feet, starring daggers into Jake. "You!" The Prince was appalled, "it's you!" Everyone in the building was surprised at the Princes out burst. "What's going on, does the Prince know this man?" "Huh, what's happening?" The Prince calmed himself down and showed a smirk before gently sitting back down. "So, it's you? Who would have thought?" Prince Dominic spoke and took a sip of his wine. "I've been wondering who would be so bold as to impersonate the Prince of Paris and even use my name to drive the Celts back behind the barrier." "What!" Everyone exclaimed.
In the cold and rainy night, a few palace guards had their hands full escorting a young man out of the banquet hall. The guards pushed and pulled aggressively."Stop it, let go of him!" Princess Dohana yelled. "He's the hero of Andorra, let him go!""Dohana!" The Queen Mother shouted at her, "get out of the way, he deserves it!""Hero? What hero? Take him to the Dungeon!" The Prince of Paris also shouted orders."Take him to the Dungeon!" The Queen Mother also yelled."Dohana!" Jake yelled.Princess Dohana lurched forward once again, trying to break through the wall of men who had stood guard against her approach. Tears were streaming down her face. She didn't know how
Terrah stood there in disbelief. 'This dude wants me to break them out? Together with the princess? Isn't that self-destructive?"Don't ponder over it," Jake spit out some blood and stared coldly at Terrah. "You do as I say, or is the words of the Prince the words of a weakling?""Enough!" Prince Terrah roared, "I'll do as you said."Jake barely chuckled and glanced at Terrah, "I thought you'd really put up a fight."Terrah leaned back on the wall and sighed. "It's better you than him. I have a feeling that bastard really colluded with the Celts, and besides, my cousin likes you more, so…"Jake grinned and pointed his head towards the door, "get out."Boom!
At the Banquet hall, the charasmatic Prince Dominic was getting more drunk and he became even more talkative."Pour more wine, are you sure you don't want to hear another one of my stories? Okay, there was this one time. I escaped the kingdom in search of a bride, deep in the woods in the far country, I met this damsel."Cheers of excitement roared from the crowd as the Prince of Paris continued."She was so pretty, so pretty that...she reminds me of Princess Dohana right now. Anyway, I took her back to the palace after a few days of falling head over heels. But my father, the King, refused our union, broke my heart, shattered my dreams but he said son, one day...one day, you will understand, and marry someone who was of royalty, a woman that is as beautiful as...Princess Dohana."
In the darkness of the night, Jake could clearly see the shape of the Prince's face with the crescent moon on his background. The sound of a thud could be heard through Jake's ringing ears. He subconsciously glanced aside and saw another man who approached. Jake gathered all the ounce of strength he had left to get up and fight one more time. "Get him up!" Prince Terrah ordered. A man rushed over and aggressively lifted him up to his feet. The man stood aside when he got a head signal from the Prince. "Should I rough him up-" A hand gesture interrupted the man. "I thought you'd be long gone by now, Jake. But I knew you were smart enough to avoid the village." "Prince Terrah, don't go back on your word," Jake pleaded. "I'm not going to, it's obvious that you want to get us all in trouble so I came to help you out." The Prince smiled. The man beside the Prince was startled. "Servant, put him on the horse and send him towards the woods." Huh? The servant was puzzled. "My Prin
The group of bandits all stood side by side flabbagasted by the site infront of them. They recognised the palace horse with its special royal reigns. It was beautiful and white, with it's incredible braided mane reaching from the poll to the withers.Raek took a step closer, "is he still alive?""Yes, he seems alive.""Who do you think he is boss?" One man asked.Raek Sheen squatted down to investigate the man on the ground. "A man with this tattered clothes, bruises and an arrow wound, riding a palace horse. He must be an enemy of the royal palace."Huh? The men glanced at each other. "If he's an enemy of the royal house. Wouldn't that mean he's one of us?"Hearing this, Raek turned around and stared at his men contemptuously. "Idiot, don't you see it? If this man ran from the palace that means he is highly wanted. Therefore, taking him back might earn us rewards.""We're at odds with the royal house, how could they reward us?""That's true," said Raek as he stood up. "Bring him up t
The two lackeys of Raek Sheen held Jake down as the medicine man made him drink the concoction. Raek Sheen smiled as he watched this. He calmed down much more and pulled a chair to sit down, staring at Jake."How long do we have to wait?"The old man stood up, looking at Jake. "A minute is enough.""That quick?" Raek Sheen couldn't believe it. "Your reputation indeed supersedes you."At this time, Jake began to growl as the medicine settled in his body. Seeing this, Raek stood up and took a few steps towards Jake. Before he could take out his knife, he was surprised to hear Jake starting to babble."Mr Raek, sir, i'm really sorry I couldn't talk earlier, actually I can talk see, I came from the Palace, it's true I came from the palace. Matter of fact, I landed on the Palace grounds on a private Jet from LA, okay. My name is Jake Larson and I'm married to the Princess Dohana of the Andorra Kingdom. Just a few days ago I brought her over to get the Queen Mother's approval but instead s
The bullet flew through the air. While Aishantha looked on at the gun quivering helplessly, a diving figure leaped across her and fell to the ground. What?Everyone's head was buzzing, did the Queen Mother really pull the trigger?Aishantha subconsciously probed her body for gunshot wounds. And when she found none, she instantly glanced at the figure lying on the floor. Her mind was boggled. It was Jake. Blood was stained all over his suit and his white t-shirt was red."No, Jake!" Princess Dohana cried, dropping to her knees and puzzled, not knowing how to help Jake at all. "Why did you do that, why?"With his eyes closed as if he was dead, Jake didn't respond.Everyone else stood there, stunned."Oh, you want to be a hero, right?" The Queen Mother said, chuckling before raising the gun towards Aishantha again. Prince Dominic quickly stepped over and blocked Aishantha completely."You...you have dissapointed me Dominic. Did you forget the plan so suddenly? You were supposed to marry
Feeling the cold blade on his neck, Prince Dominic was furious. How could he have let his guard down. As the renown Prince of Paris, and having trained on the art of combat since he was a child, how could he accept defeat by an amateur. 'Obviously this kid is no experienced fighter, and to be cheated and be outdone by him is just embarrassing. But I'm a Prince, I can't lose.' "I said, say your last words pal!" Jake yelled. Prince Dominic thought of countermeasures quickly. "Who said I've lost," after he spoke, the Prince used his left hand to squeeze Jake's injured shoulder. The Prince had thought about it. He'd hurt Jake where he previously stabbed him and then use this momentum to turn the tables. After using all his strength to squeeze and jab the injured shoulder, Jake merely glanced at his hand. Seeing Jake's smirk, Prince Dominic was astonished. Why is he not hurting? Seeing his puzzled face, Jake leaned back and used his right hand to reveal the wounded area. What?
Pin drop silence followed as all eyes gathered around the man who had just crashed into the wedding hall. Everyone couldn't help but gasp at the sight and the aura that pervaded him. He wore a stylish black suit, with a red tie; the black shades he had on gave him a mysterious demeaner. With his hands jammed into his side pockets, looking extremely relaxed, he smiled as he glanced at the audience. The Queen Mother was staring at him in total bewilderment. She couldn't figure it out. She had done her utmost best to ensure he would never be able to enter the palace, let alone the wedding venue. How did he pass through the thousands of royal soldiers defending the royal palace?"Jake!"Princess Dohana couldn't believe her eyes. She shuddered at the site of him, staggering back.'Finally, my Prince charming didn't let me down. He came to save me. He is really here. Am I dreaming? That means I don't have to marry Dominic, I don't.'As a thousand thoughts ran through Princess Dohana's mind
The atmosphere became tense in a second. Erick Vohn drew out his sword, showing a sneer as he directed his sword towards the Resistance army."How dare you try to deceive us? Do you know who I am?"Mr Heart returned a mocking smirk, "You're the general of a mutilated army.""Shut up! the general shouted, "soldiers, attack!"The royal soldiers roared and charged together simultaneously."Resistance, buckle up and get ready to defend, walls of steel!" As soon as the words resonated through the air, the Resistance formed a straight wall. One soldier had his knee to the ground, the other stood behind him blocking the abdomen, their shields both blocking the opponent. Behind them, the soldiers pushed them hard to resist. When the oncoming traffic of royal soldiers clashed against the wall, they bounced off and stabilised their feet before rushing back. After several attempts, the soldiers began to wonder what was up about the wall? How could their opponents be so strong. Seeing this scen
As the sun rose in the east, Princess Dohana opened her eyes and she couldn't help sighing with emotions. Today was her wedding day but she was sad. She had always imagined her wedding day would be the happiest day of her life. But instead, it promised to become a dreadful day.Soon Princess Dohana picked herself up and prepared to head over to the bathroom to wash up but to her surprise, a man was sitting on a chair looking at her attentively."Prince Dominic!"The Prince smiled and said, "you look even more beautiful when you're sleeping so peacefully."Feeling intruded, Princess Dohana stepped back instinctively and said, "what are you doing here? Don't you know the groom is not supposed to see the bride on the morning of the wedding?"The smile on the Prince's face was quickly replaced by a lazy sneer. "Oh please, cut the crap. It's not like you really want to get married to me."Princess Dohana looked down as she saw his gloomy face.Seeing her so docile, Prince Dominic stood up
The atmosphere in the hall changed, one could cut the air between the Queen Mother and Princess Dohana with a blunt knife. The silence that reigned, if you dropped a pin, it could be heard clearly. Between the royal family, it was Dorah who recovered first. Her sharp eyes stared down the Princess and she couldn't hide her disgust. "You...Dohana, how could you be this stupid? What marriage are you talking about?" Sirah also added, furrowing her brows, "do you mean you're married officially? Like legally?" The Queen Mother cackled out of nowhere. The voice was so loud that it echoed throughout the hall as everyone looked at each other in dismay. "Child, don't tell me you got drunk and had an accidental wedding." The Queen Mother continued to laugh. "No. Your majesty, it was a sober day when I got married." "Shut up!" Dorah scolded angrily. 'How shameless can this woman be?' "You shut up, okay!" Dohana retorted, pointing her fore-finger across the lot. "I don't need any of your
At the royal palace, the pre-wedding festivities were still thriving at midnight. Earlier that evening, the Queen Mother had even set up a celebration banquet for the wedding. Everyone had been drinking all night and this time, most of them were drunk. The Prince of Paris, Dominic, kept the crowd alive with his humourous stories. The crowd kept bellowing with laughter. "Imagine, without a penny to his name. A nobody still wants to marry the Princess?" A roar of laughter followed. Raising his voice, Prince Dominic continued. "Huh, trying to wrestle the Prince for his bride? That's like a lightweight trying to wrestle a heavyweight. He has his eyes on the throne? We might as well hand over the kingdom to a peasant." More cachination ensued. Suddenly, the door to the Banquet hall banged open and general Bengy Dowson strode in with a panic. The sudden sound attracted everyone in the hall as they turned to stare. Seeing the serious face of the general, the hall went so silent you cou
All the soldiers glared at the man in disbelief. How could they believe that they had travelled all the way to the Andorrian boarder for nothing. If this was possible, it would mean that they had been tricked all the way here and would not be able to return to El-Tarter on time. Crazy..."What nonsense are you talking about?" Said Bengy Dowson, feeling embarrassed and disgruntled about the possibility of this truth.Mr Goodson took a few deep breaths, walking over with a dertemined look on his face. "General, it's all true. When I returned back to El-Tarter last night, I followed those farmers back to their camp, only to find that they are part of the resistance. They pretended to be returning to the mountains just to avoid your trouble."Hearing this, Mr Dowson turned around to look at the windy mountains. They suddenly felt so abondoned and disolate."General, don't waste your time exploring the mountains. We don't have enough time, let's rush back immediately to catch them unaware
A few hours later, on the outskirts of the El-Tarter, a thousand royal soldiers marched toward the east. The general Bengy Dowson led the men, riding alongside him was none either than Mr Goodson. As the men passed by a narrow path, they saw a few men farming near the river. The general raised his hand up and everyone stopped."Quickly, ask those men if they saw the bandits pass by here lately."A soldier ran down quickly and soon returned."My lord, the farmers say thousands of men passed by here some eight hours ago. They recognised some of them as the mountain bandits."Hearing this, both Bengy and Mr Goodson nodded, but the latter was skeptical. Just as Mr Dowson was about to signal for them to continue, Mr Goodson spoke."Wait, Mr Dowson, don't you think there's something strange going on here?" Mr Goodson said while staring at the farmers."What do you mean," Bengy glared at him suspiciously."Look at it like this," Mr Goodson said, pointing to the farmers. "Why does it seem li
