The full moon, illuminious above the ocean was gorgeous in the eyes of Dohana. She kept her eyes on it, her face joyous despite the breeze of the ocean striking against it.
Jake marvelled at the way her coloured long dress tightened around her sculptured figure.
"What's a princess like you doing in a dump like this?"
'Who could that be? Who could this stranger with a deep voice be?'
Dohana turned her head slightly to her left as the man stood by her, fixated his eyes on the moon. Dohana stared at him. He was tall and handsome, she thought.
"Princess?" Dohana voiced out, concern written all over her face. "I'm no princess. What gave you that idea?"
Jake looked at her, giving her a subtle smile. She was gorgeous, with her braided and curly flowing hairstyle. Her midnight black hair was flowing down over her shoulders.
"Well, if a certain kingdom needs a princess. I'd be glad to recommend you, cause you are one beautiful woman."
A smirtle emmited from Dohana as she was pleased. The young man was not only good looking, but had a sweet tongue too. She stared at his rosy lips as he spoke, and every word he said sounded like sweet melodies to her ears. His slanted green eyes when he looked at her, warmed her heart.
When he noticed her subtle smile, he looked into her blue eyes which exuded a form of calmness and mystery. She had lilac soft strawberry sweet lips, a kind Jake had never kissed. It was when her crescent shaped eyebrows curved down on her sweeping eye lashes that Jake realised her inquisitive look, perhaps he had been lost in her eyes for too long.
"Don't tell me you like the full moon?" Jake said.
"Oh! I love it," she said passionately grinning and looking up at the moon. "I love astronomy. Sometimes I wished I could have sturdied towards that field and made it my profession."
"Interesting," said Jake, "I've never met a woman who's interested in extraordinary professions like astronomy." Jake returned a smile.
"Oh! Well, I guess you haven't met all the women." She glanced back at him as he glared at the moon. "What about you? What brings you out to watch the moon instead of partying and mingling with the beautiful women inside?"
A wry smile exerted from Jake before he replied, "I don't know. I feel like I don't belong. None of the women here are my type," Jake said before he looked at her. "Until I met you."
Dohana's face flushed red, blushing as she faced the ground. Butterflies building in her stomach.
Jake's heart was taken by her geniunely shy expression. 'I must admit, this girl is gorgeous,' he thought. 'Look how cute she is when she's shy.'
Jake felt like he could hug her immediately, his heart beating erratically.
"Crazy isn't it? I felt the exact same way," she said looking into his eyes.
"My name's Jake Larson, you can call me Jake," said Jake extending his hand.
She reached out shook it, then said, "Christine Dohana, you can call me Dohana."
'Beautiful, even her name is different.'
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Dohana," Jake said kissing her hand like a gentleman.
Dohana face flushed, she had never been kissed like that, not even for a greeting. "Likewise," she managed to say.
"So, I think I've seen enough of the moon for one night," Jake said smiling.
Dohana giggled and said, "you're right, we should maybe go-"
"Get some drinks," Jake nervously interrupted, simpering. They turned and started sauntering their way back into the party deck, while constantly taking a sneak-peek glance at each other and returning wry smiles.
"By the way," said Jake galncing at her dress, "you're wearing the most beautiful dress out here tonight."
A smirtle emmited from Dohana before she said, "So much flattery Mr Larson, if I didn't know better I'd say you're blind. With all the women in the party tonight?"
"Honestly, I saw you come in earlier. But you vanished before I could take a good look. This dress caught my attention. It's quiet gorgeous, like you." Jake stood at the entrance gazing upon her.
She blushed, words escaping her lips- only managed to a sweet grin.
As the couple came in, various members of Jake's friends saw them. That included Luke, who grinned, nodded in approval and winked at Jake.
When they arrived at the VIP section, Jake called the waitress over and she came over immediately.
"Bring me a shampagne of Cristal brut, and for my lady..." Jake sturdied Dohana, who seemed shy to make her pick.
"Please being an Armand de Brignac shampagne for my lady," said Jake. Dohana simpered at Jake.
'He is such a gentleman,' thought Dohana. 'Has'nt he all the qualities of a good man? Out of all the women here tonight, he chose me.'
When the waitress returned, she poured the shampagne on their glasses. The two toasted to each other and drank.
"To us," said Jake lost in her eyes as their glasses clashed. 'Wow, she's so gorgeous. I love the way she carries herself, her posture- princess like.'
"So, who did you come with tonight?" Jake asked.
"My friends, they are..." Dohana said pointing and squinting at the crowd. "They were right there. They must have moved."
Noticing her worried tone, Jake said, "looks like they've left you at my capable hands. Don't worry, they'll come back. They probably went to the restroom or something."
After having a conversation for over thirty minutes, the two had gotten well acquainted. They began to be tipsy and much more relaxed, sitting closer to each other at a moment's breath.
Suddenly, Lady Gaga's music hit, a hidden stage appeared and the crowd roared with excitement. The dance floor went bananas. Even Dohana shot up with elation.
"Oh! I love this song!" said Dohana yelling.
"To the dance floor then," replied Jake, he reached over and grabbed her hand. A lightning bolt struck as their hands touched, they glared at each other as they headed to the dance floor.
The loud music banged through the speakers as curves of sexy women in short skirts moved with the beat. Their partners moved along too, their hands holding their partners waists as the women held onto their men's shoulders. The DJ had switched from banging house and pop music to sweet melodies with love tunes. At this time of the hour, only those with partners remained on the dance floor.Jake had finally summoned the courage to hold Dohana's waist as they danced, eyes locked on each other. They smiled each time they made eye contact. Sweat trickled down Jake's forehead as his heart pumped erratically.Dohana blushed as she leaned on Jake's chest, before she twisted and felt his hand grab on hers tight. She could feel her hand slipping away with sw
As the sun's rays shone through the window, alerting Jake as his surroundings brightened. He opened his eyes casually and immediately noticed the possibilities that he had awoken at a strange place not of his own. Jake had never liked waking up at any place that was not his and especially despised being awoken by brightness of the rising sun. He preferred the alarm, which always gave him the option to go back to sleep. And the pounding headache didn't help matters at all. With his sight still blury, Jake squinted and his eyes landed on the lady who yawned and kicked the blankets as she flipped over to face towards Jake.'Beautiful, she was just simply gorgeous.' Jake thought as he rubbed his eyes to take a better look. 'Last night wasn't a dream at all,
When the Queen Mother finally invited Dohana to dinner, Dohana couldn't wait but asked her a bombardment of questions as she sat on the huge royal table. The other members of the royal family all looked on in disbelief as some of them began to dish up."Mother, what have you done with Jake? Where have you hidden him? Please let him be," said Dohana, pleading."Why should I do that Princess? That worthless man disflowered the princess of the Kingdom. Do you know how tragic that is? Should the world know about this, we shall be humiliated beyond measure," the Queen Mother said as she dished up herself from the baffet on the table."Mother, you can't do this to Jake. He's my boy...my
It was the following àfternoon and the Kingdom was littered with its people. Some had travelled long distances to come and behold today's activities. The Queen Mother had hinted that there would be a huge announcement about the Princess' future today. Additionally, it would be the day when commoner would be executed for an abomination against the kingdom. The royal family arrived at the Royal court on horse back accompanied by heavily armed guards. The elders, political figures and affluent people of the Kingdom had already arrived and were seated well before time. The beating of cultural drums could be heard as a choir sang to welcome the Royal family. The citizens of the kingdom didn't have the luxury to sit, they stood in the blazing sun in thei
Jake's mind raced, what was happening? Was he dreaming? He glanced around the room and sure enough, Dohana was sound asleep next to Jake. Her beautiful dress lay on the ground. Jake remembered how they had rushed in unable to keep their hands off each other before undressing one another. He smiled but quickly remembered the dream and frowned.'What could that dream mean? She was a princess and…they tried to kill me because of her. This girl is going to be the end of me. She will will get me killed won't she?'Jake jumped out of bed and quickly put on his clothes while carefully watching that Dohana doesn't wake up to see him.
Dohana's face flushed as she stood there and watched the phone ring. She was overwhelmed by emotions of exhilaration and nervousness simultaneously."Dohana, come on, answer it!" Mariot urged.Daisy frowned as she stepped closer and read the caller ID. "Answer the phone before your prince charming drops at the other end."After taking a deep breath, Dohana reached out and picked up the call."Hello," said Jake after noticing the silence from the other end. "Dohana, is that you?""Jake, hi," Dohana managed to say.
The dinner table was decorated with red roses, peals and red rubies stones. It was the most romantic setting Jake had ever prepared himself. He had thought about it emmensely, he would have his date with the gorgeous Dohana right at his home.Jake smiled as he monitored his handy work. He had awaken early in the morning to start preparing for his date. Smiling from ear to ear, he was pleased with what he saw. When he thought of his gorgeous date, he could only grin wider. He felt really lucky to have such a woman coming over for a date with him. He wondered if she would look as majestic as she was the night he met her.As minutes passed by, Jake became even more nervous. He h
"Dad, Mum, what are you talking about?" Jake asked, he had impulsively stood up as he stared at them.A young lady rushed towards Jake while tapping her phone and showed the screen to Jake.Frowning, Jake shuddered as he stared at the screen. Beautiful and clear pictures of Jake and Dohana at the table having drinks, at the dance floor, while they running up the stairs to the top deck of the yacht, then a picture of them half naked swimming at the pool and drinking alcohol. Lastly, there were pictures of them cuddling and kissing by the pool side."What? How?" Jake was baffled. He glanced back at his father, who was seething with rage.
The bullet flew through the air. While Aishantha looked on at the gun quivering helplessly, a diving figure leaped across her and fell to the ground. What?Everyone's head was buzzing, did the Queen Mother really pull the trigger?Aishantha subconsciously probed her body for gunshot wounds. And when she found none, she instantly glanced at the figure lying on the floor. Her mind was boggled. It was Jake. Blood was stained all over his suit and his white t-shirt was red."No, Jake!" Princess Dohana cried, dropping to her knees and puzzled, not knowing how to help Jake at all. "Why did you do that, why?"With his eyes closed as if he was dead, Jake didn't respond.Everyone else stood there, stunned."Oh, you want to be a hero, right?" The Queen Mother said, chuckling before raising the gun towards Aishantha again. Prince Dominic quickly stepped over and blocked Aishantha completely."You...you have dissapointed me Dominic. Did you forget the plan so suddenly? You were supposed to marry
Feeling the cold blade on his neck, Prince Dominic was furious. How could he have let his guard down. As the renown Prince of Paris, and having trained on the art of combat since he was a child, how could he accept defeat by an amateur. 'Obviously this kid is no experienced fighter, and to be cheated and be outdone by him is just embarrassing. But I'm a Prince, I can't lose.' "I said, say your last words pal!" Jake yelled. Prince Dominic thought of countermeasures quickly. "Who said I've lost," after he spoke, the Prince used his left hand to squeeze Jake's injured shoulder. The Prince had thought about it. He'd hurt Jake where he previously stabbed him and then use this momentum to turn the tables. After using all his strength to squeeze and jab the injured shoulder, Jake merely glanced at his hand. Seeing Jake's smirk, Prince Dominic was astonished. Why is he not hurting? Seeing his puzzled face, Jake leaned back and used his right hand to reveal the wounded area. What?
Pin drop silence followed as all eyes gathered around the man who had just crashed into the wedding hall. Everyone couldn't help but gasp at the sight and the aura that pervaded him. He wore a stylish black suit, with a red tie; the black shades he had on gave him a mysterious demeaner. With his hands jammed into his side pockets, looking extremely relaxed, he smiled as he glanced at the audience. The Queen Mother was staring at him in total bewilderment. She couldn't figure it out. She had done her utmost best to ensure he would never be able to enter the palace, let alone the wedding venue. How did he pass through the thousands of royal soldiers defending the royal palace?"Jake!"Princess Dohana couldn't believe her eyes. She shuddered at the site of him, staggering back.'Finally, my Prince charming didn't let me down. He came to save me. He is really here. Am I dreaming? That means I don't have to marry Dominic, I don't.'As a thousand thoughts ran through Princess Dohana's mind
The atmosphere became tense in a second. Erick Vohn drew out his sword, showing a sneer as he directed his sword towards the Resistance army."How dare you try to deceive us? Do you know who I am?"Mr Heart returned a mocking smirk, "You're the general of a mutilated army.""Shut up! the general shouted, "soldiers, attack!"The royal soldiers roared and charged together simultaneously."Resistance, buckle up and get ready to defend, walls of steel!" As soon as the words resonated through the air, the Resistance formed a straight wall. One soldier had his knee to the ground, the other stood behind him blocking the abdomen, their shields both blocking the opponent. Behind them, the soldiers pushed them hard to resist. When the oncoming traffic of royal soldiers clashed against the wall, they bounced off and stabilised their feet before rushing back. After several attempts, the soldiers began to wonder what was up about the wall? How could their opponents be so strong. Seeing this scen
As the sun rose in the east, Princess Dohana opened her eyes and she couldn't help sighing with emotions. Today was her wedding day but she was sad. She had always imagined her wedding day would be the happiest day of her life. But instead, it promised to become a dreadful day.Soon Princess Dohana picked herself up and prepared to head over to the bathroom to wash up but to her surprise, a man was sitting on a chair looking at her attentively."Prince Dominic!"The Prince smiled and said, "you look even more beautiful when you're sleeping so peacefully."Feeling intruded, Princess Dohana stepped back instinctively and said, "what are you doing here? Don't you know the groom is not supposed to see the bride on the morning of the wedding?"The smile on the Prince's face was quickly replaced by a lazy sneer. "Oh please, cut the crap. It's not like you really want to get married to me."Princess Dohana looked down as she saw his gloomy face.Seeing her so docile, Prince Dominic stood up
The atmosphere in the hall changed, one could cut the air between the Queen Mother and Princess Dohana with a blunt knife. The silence that reigned, if you dropped a pin, it could be heard clearly. Between the royal family, it was Dorah who recovered first. Her sharp eyes stared down the Princess and she couldn't hide her disgust. "You...Dohana, how could you be this stupid? What marriage are you talking about?" Sirah also added, furrowing her brows, "do you mean you're married officially? Like legally?" The Queen Mother cackled out of nowhere. The voice was so loud that it echoed throughout the hall as everyone looked at each other in dismay. "Child, don't tell me you got drunk and had an accidental wedding." The Queen Mother continued to laugh. "No. Your majesty, it was a sober day when I got married." "Shut up!" Dorah scolded angrily. 'How shameless can this woman be?' "You shut up, okay!" Dohana retorted, pointing her fore-finger across the lot. "I don't need any of your
At the royal palace, the pre-wedding festivities were still thriving at midnight. Earlier that evening, the Queen Mother had even set up a celebration banquet for the wedding. Everyone had been drinking all night and this time, most of them were drunk. The Prince of Paris, Dominic, kept the crowd alive with his humourous stories. The crowd kept bellowing with laughter. "Imagine, without a penny to his name. A nobody still wants to marry the Princess?" A roar of laughter followed. Raising his voice, Prince Dominic continued. "Huh, trying to wrestle the Prince for his bride? That's like a lightweight trying to wrestle a heavyweight. He has his eyes on the throne? We might as well hand over the kingdom to a peasant." More cachination ensued. Suddenly, the door to the Banquet hall banged open and general Bengy Dowson strode in with a panic. The sudden sound attracted everyone in the hall as they turned to stare. Seeing the serious face of the general, the hall went so silent you cou
All the soldiers glared at the man in disbelief. How could they believe that they had travelled all the way to the Andorrian boarder for nothing. If this was possible, it would mean that they had been tricked all the way here and would not be able to return to El-Tarter on time. Crazy..."What nonsense are you talking about?" Said Bengy Dowson, feeling embarrassed and disgruntled about the possibility of this truth.Mr Goodson took a few deep breaths, walking over with a dertemined look on his face. "General, it's all true. When I returned back to El-Tarter last night, I followed those farmers back to their camp, only to find that they are part of the resistance. They pretended to be returning to the mountains just to avoid your trouble."Hearing this, Mr Dowson turned around to look at the windy mountains. They suddenly felt so abondoned and disolate."General, don't waste your time exploring the mountains. We don't have enough time, let's rush back immediately to catch them unaware
A few hours later, on the outskirts of the El-Tarter, a thousand royal soldiers marched toward the east. The general Bengy Dowson led the men, riding alongside him was none either than Mr Goodson. As the men passed by a narrow path, they saw a few men farming near the river. The general raised his hand up and everyone stopped."Quickly, ask those men if they saw the bandits pass by here lately."A soldier ran down quickly and soon returned."My lord, the farmers say thousands of men passed by here some eight hours ago. They recognised some of them as the mountain bandits."Hearing this, both Bengy and Mr Goodson nodded, but the latter was skeptical. Just as Mr Dowson was about to signal for them to continue, Mr Goodson spoke."Wait, Mr Dowson, don't you think there's something strange going on here?" Mr Goodson said while staring at the farmers."What do you mean," Bengy glared at him suspiciously."Look at it like this," Mr Goodson said, pointing to the farmers. "Why does it seem li
