Chapter 48 - Riko

I was still lying in my bed laughing, looking at the picture of my goofy boyfriend eating Cocoa Puffs. “Forrest, you are… I think I love you, you crazy boy.” I sighed, holding my phone to my chest. It’s crazy that just that cute and flirty morning text exchange has me smiling like a love-struck fool. I can’t wait to see him tonight.

I read over our text again and wondered about his brothers. Where are Darius and Elijah going to be working today? Will they be working outdoors in this cold? Or is it indoors where they can stay warm? Then I find myself imagining them in hardhats and tool belts in casual clothes like jeans and tees. I’ve never seen any of the brothers dressed down before.

I found myself biting my bottom lip as the image of Darius and Elijah dressed as construction workers were turning me on. I can’t wait to get to know them all better

My alarm went off, and I immediately sat up in bed, rubbing sleep from my eyes. A glance to Forrest’s bed, and I knew he had already left for practice. His orange bedding was a mess, which was normal. Of us, he’s the messiest of us brothers. I threw back my covers, getting up, stretching. I kicked Darius before going to the bathroom to shower.I sighed under the stream of water, letting the water wake me up. I wish I could go back to bed. Go back to my dream of Riko. Reliving the memory of yesterday morning in her bed, in her shower. I groaned as I remembered being in her shower, washing her body. I’d wanted her so badly. I wanted to take her then and there. I’m glad I didn’t. Darius was right last night. Her first time not only needs to be special but should be with all of us.I groaned, resting my head against the tile visi

I didn’t know what to do about dad and this issue he has with my relationship with the triplets. It was getting frustrating. I didn’t dwell on it, though. I couldn’t as I texted Darius and Elijah. These boys… I can’t help but smile when I even think about them. And these pictures. Wow. First Forrest and that somehow both adorable and sexy pic in his workout gear eating Cocoa Puffs, and now Darius and Elijah dressed in jeans and basic tees looking utterly delicious.I miss them. Sure I just saw them all yesterday, but I still miss them. I can’t wait to see Forrest tonight and Elijah tomorrow. I sighed, putting my phone into my purse as I hurried down the stairs. Grandma was slipping on her jacket, waiting for me by the door. “Well, you look to be in better spirits.” she smiled at me. “Darius and Elijah texted me before work. They are working on a

Today we were on-site finishing up the inside of a new office building our mother's company had constructed over the spring and summer. “There’s two of my favorite nephews.” Uncle Apollo greeted, pulling us both into a bear hug, one arm crushing each of us against him. Now we aren’t small guys but compared to Uncle Apollo, we are scrawny. “Nice to see you too.” I grunted, trying to breathe.“Can’t breathe.” Elijah half teased. Uncle Apollo let us go and grinned at us, taking stock of us like he hadn’t just seen us three months ago at the last job we worked together. “Something’s different. What’s changed?” he asked, his eyes narrowing as he inspected us. Elijah and I shared a confused look then looked at our cousins for any help.Useless as all they did was shrug. “I

Dad has been quiet since grandma, and I got back from the mall. Grandpa, of course, had plenty of questions. It was sweet how he was so interested in the most menial things grandma was telling him. He, of course, thought Cassidy sounded like a good friend to have. But, of course, he thinks that. She's a lot like grandma. So after I took everything up to my room to put away the new clothes, I texted the triplets.I opened a can of worms when I sent that picture of the shopping bags and told them about the items I bought in Victoria’s Secrets. Though I have to admit there’s a part of me that wanted them to know. That wants them to fantasize about me. That likes knowing Forrest is right now masturbating thinking about me.I like knowing I have this effect on them. It made things seem fair because they all have this effect on me. So I decide

I haven’t been able to get Riko off my mind since this morning. Not that I was trying all that hard. My distracted mind did cause me to mess up a few times during practice. I didn’t even care that I got my ass chewed out by Coach VanBrocklin for it. All I wanted was to get through the hours that separated me from seeing Riko. Though if I’m this distracted by missing her, I can’t imagine my brothers. If they mess up at the construction site, Uncle Apollo will kick their asses. And ugh, she about killed me telling us about how she went shopping and bought s

Riko was smiling at me, squeezing my hand, a blush forming on her face. She's so damn cute. How can her dad, of all people, not realize how amazing she is? Her grandparents both liked my answer based on the smiles they were giving me. Her dad snorted, but even he couldn’t say I was wrong.Ryōta sighed and adjusted how he was sitting to sit up even straighter. Like that would make him look scary. “That’s all well and good. But do you and your brothers not understand or see that this sort of relationship is wrong? Polygamy is illegal in all fifty stat

“So what are the odds they even watch the movie?” Darius chuckled as he tossed me a controller and booted up Street Fighter. “Do you mean them actually going to the movies? Or do you mean them not paying attention once in the theater?” I chuckled, picking my go-to character Zangief. “Both.” he shrugged as the fight began.Playing fighting games with my brothers while fun can be predictable. We may not read each other’s minds, but we know each other enough to predict what the others will do next. We make a kick-ass team when we do co-op online games. People actually hate when they see our screennames pop up on the opposite team. It makes me wonder if our girl plays video games. On the other hand, she’s proven to be fairly in sync with us so that she could make a good addition to our co-op gaming.“Hmm…

I was managing to hold it together. Guess it pays to be the serious one. Makes me more in tune with the Frost side and the innate ability to control my emotions. I need to keep in control right now. I can’t afford to let my emotions rule me. Mom’s too big of a mess right now to drive. I’ve never seen her like this. But then again none of us have ever really been hurt before. Sure we’ve had some cuts and bruises, we are boys that play sports and enjoyed going to construction sites with our uncle. But nothing ever landed us in the hospital. Haven’t ever stepped foot in one before in my life. And now I have to because my youngest brother and girlfriend are there. I don’t even know how serious their conditions are. I just hope it’s only minor and the hospital trip was just a formality to be sure. Please let them be okay. We only just found Riko. I don

  • The Princes of Ravenwood   Christmas Special Chapter 4 - Riko

Growing up as a military brat, I didn’t have too many holiday traditions. Unlike my husbands, who every year growing up knew they would go cut down a tree, and they’d go to the trellis lights event. We moved enough that it was hard to maintain traditions. But there was one that even after mom died, we kept alive. Cookies.I don’t have a lot of memories of my mom, but I do remember that every Christmas eve, no matter where in the world we were, she’d have me in the kitchen with her to bake cookies for Santa.Cranberry white chocolate and walnut jam thumbprint cookies were my mom’s go-to. I think because we could get the ingredients no matter where we lived. And since having our kids, I get to share that tradition. So right now, our kitchen is abuzz with activity. Elijah and I are working with Hikari, Saki, and Akio to make cookies. Darius is holding Ryū while Forrest is taking pictures. As an early gift, my dad ordered l

My brothers and I are still reeling from how things went at the trellis lighting event. I mean, yes, the fact our sweet Hikari pushed another kid was jarring. And that kid’s mother… Joanie Walker was a piece of work. But all of that faded as the event progressed. All for the unlikely flirting between Reese and Don.When I invited Don to meet up with us at the event, I never would have guessed he’d hit it off with Reese in a million years. He’s certainly not her usual type. I’m not putting him down or anything. Don’s a great guy.I’ve never seen Reese even look twice at a guy who couldn’t at least stand a chance in an arm-wrestling match against her. Reese just came out of a bad breakup where the insecurities of lesser men once again got in the way. I don’t want Don to be a rebound.I just don’t know how to broach the subject with him or with Reese. I decided today I should just clear the ai

I have loved going to the waterfront for the light-up event since I was a kid. I loved it even more, when we started bringing Riko with us. Even if we got looks and people whispered about us. Those whispers didn’t get better after we started having kids. But I will never let the opinions of others impede my enjoyment of the event. As I was unloading the van, I felt arms wrap around me and literally lift me off the ground in a bear hug. “Hey, cousin!” Clay greeted, squeezing me harder. I rolled my eyes because this is just how my cousin is. He wants a reaction to indicate that he’s stronger than me. Which okay, he is. Like his father, Clay works hard in the construction company and has won some bodybuilding competitions. But I’m not going to give him the satisfaction of knowing he’s stronger than me. “Put my Bampás down,” Saki glared up at Clay and kicked him in the ankle. I snickered at my little girl coming to my rescue. “You gonna make me, p

  • The Princes of Ravenwood   Christmas Special Chapter 1 - Forrest

In our family, there are only three traditions. The big holiday party at Frost manor has been a tradition since well the estate was built. But it was primarily a big deal in Hazel Frost’s day. It’s a big deal with the whole family and the influential people that run in the Frost social circle.Eye Roll! I could care less about rubbing elbows with politicians, lawyers, movie stars, and business owners of fortune 500 companies. They are not my style. And not really my brothers’ style either. We’ve been lucky the last few years to decline the invite because we have little ones. Before the kids, we didn’t get much choice but always ducked out early with Riko. The last time we went was the party the year we got married. We left after I decked Brant Jones for pinching Riko’s ass and asking if she’d like to give hi

When my husbands said they had a spa day planned, they really meant it. My day started with a body wrap, manicure and pedicure, facial, and then a couples massage where thankfully the staff didn’t say a word that it was me and all three of my husbands. I appreciated the lack of judgment. After our massages, my husbands sent me to change into an outfit of their choosing. I was a little concerned it would be something dirty and scandalous. But I found a beautiful sleeveless wrap dress with a flutter hem in a blush pink with floral print hanging in the changing room.I, of course, spoke too soon about the nothing scandalous part as I found a soft pink floral applique longline demi-bra and thong set where my maternity bra and panties had been. This getaway was more needed than I wanted to admit. I miss my children. God, I miss them. And that's why I feel like a terrible mother because a large part of me is happy to be away from them. Maybe I should see my therapist like my loving husbands have been suggesting since before Thanksgiving. I haven't wanted to admit it. But maybe I really do have postpartum depression. I don't want to feel this way. It isn't good for me. And it's not fair to my kids, especially Ryū. Why am I contemplating my mental health while wrapped in the warm, loving arms of Forrest at five in the morning? Because I woke up to my breasts aching, needing to be pumped, fighting my tears at how much I miss my baby. "Riko? Baby? What's wrong?" Forrest's groggy voice question

The glass-bottom boat was really cool. Getting that view of all the sea life in waters deeper than we were snorkeling earlier. We got some more great pictures to show the kids and other family members when we get back.I know Cassidy was miffed that we were going on this trip. Not that she said anything to us, but Collin grumbled about showing him up. I told him to step his game up. Can’t keep doing the same shit. He needs to keep her on her toes.Tonight we shared another dinner on the terrace of the villa together. We have a plan for tomorrow that will knock our wife’s socks off. And with luck, everything else she’s wearing. This was a getaway to remember. Great views, great food, and even better company. Yet, I still miss the kids. We’ll have t

I miss my kids. I miss waking up to my girls jumping on my bed shouting for me to get up before they eat all the cocoa puffs. I love those little hellions. They are so mine it’s not funny. Not to say I don’t miss my boys. Hikari and his sweet smile and a big hug when I would get downstairs. I miss Ryū so damn much. His sweet baby smell and the weight of his little body as he slept on my chest. “Get up.” Darius grunted, shoving me out of bed. “Why are you and Elijah so mean. I’m going to enjoy not waking up to either of you tomorrow.” I grumbled, rubbing sleep from my eyes. “What, I thought you’d be missing your violent wake-up call from the twins. I’m not jumping on the bed, so this is the best you get.” Darius taunted that same devious gleam in his eyes our girls often have. I sighed and rolled
