The moment Aunty saw me, she was astonished. She glared at me. Her eyes were red.

“ What happened to Anaira?” Uncle's voice was full of concern. His brows were furrowed together in anticipation of the worst. Sheena narrated everything to them. Uncle came near me and caressed my face lovingly. He pulled me into his embrace. He is my safe paradise.

“ I'm so happy that you were able to save this little girl here. I'm feeling proud of my upbringing.” Uncle kept his hand on my head in a blessing gesture.

“ Such a small injury. She will be fine by tomorrow. No need to fuss over it. If she would sit and tend to her injury then who would work.”As usual, she was being insensitive to my injury. It is nothing new to me. I started going towards the kitchen.

“ Where do you think you are going?” Sheena yanked my arm and stopped me from moving ahead.

“ I am going to finish the work.”
