Chapter 70

Jasper posed the question, "What should we do now?" to which I responded with a shrug. Alex and Kenny exchanged pensive glances, and then Kenny proposed the idea, "Maybe we could catch a movie." I shrugged once more, feeling indifferent towards the suggestion.

Julie interjected, "Why don't we go drinking instead?" The notion of drinking didn't appeal to me, and I wrinkled my nose in disgust. Jasper quickly vetoed the idea, stating, "Sandy doesn't drink, so that's not an option." I couldn't resist grinning in triumph as three of us were against Julie's proposal and none were in favor.

Julie looked as if she was on the brink of exploding, but the boys paid no heed to her demands and instead discussed which movie to watch. Ultimately, it was decided that we would watch a movie at Jasper's place. The boys generously allowed me to choose the movie, as I was feeling down.
