Chapter 2

Artemis' POV

“Uh-oh… you finally noticed, huh? It took you so long than I expected you to. As if we didn't spend so many nights together, huh?" I asked with a smile while looking in the mirror.

He smirked too before raising his eyebrows.

"Of course, how would I forget a woman I fuck several times but fuck my life in just one move? And even gave me a kid?” The smirk was still there from his lips but the hatred was clearly visible in his eyes. I know that he won't really hesitate to let that bullet meet my skin, so I didn't hesitate to take his gun and try to kick him.

I guess I'll be proceeding to my Plan B, huh? Well, all of the plans have the same goal. Stay alive and find my son.

I did a kick but he immediately blocked it. He wasn't that genius Zelo now, it was a wrong move that I taught him how to protect himself because in less than a second I could feel his hand on my neck.

"You know what? Always remember that you can't undo the doer," I laughed and said and removed his hand from me. I clenched my fist and tried to punch his cheek but he immediately stayed there. The smile on his lips still hasn't disappeared.

"Hmm, you think I don't know that this day will come, my dear Umbrielle? I can kill you anytime I want," he said before he caught my fist and kicked the back of my knee causing us both to fall to the floor as I was holding onto him.

"Not bad." My nails dig into his arms before I change our position.

"See? Don't be full of yourself, Mister President, I should be the one telling you that," I said, taking the gun from him. I pointed at his forehead while I was sitting on his chest.

"Where's my son?" I asked while glaring at him. He laughed there as if he was amused at me.

"Oh, you have a son? You fucking abandoned him and you are going to ask where he is? Sorry to say this but he doesn't know that he has an assassin as his mom," he laughed while smirking at me.

"Shut the fuck up. Just answer where Hades is,” I said angrily. The smile on his lips also gradually disappeared and his eyes became even more angry.

“You think I'll really tell you? You left him.” He reminded me so I pressed the gun I was holding on him even more, which made him burst out laughing.

"Why don't you shoot it so we can see if you really don't pity me like you used to?" He really laughs like a devil. He still can manage to annoy me. He knows fucking well that I can't kill him at all. I was so irritated that I tried to hit his arm. Let's see if he can laugh once I put a bullet in his shoulder. But the brute laughed even more when I didn't have the chance to shoot him, there's no fucking bullet on his gun. 

"Looks like your skills are rusting, Umbrielle. I wonder where you went to be this weak now.” He acted so fast, I didn't realize that my cheek was already kissing the floor. He tried to handcuff my right hand. Before he could lock both of them, I kicked him. I stood up quickly, especially when I saw that his backups had arrived. I did one more blow while he tried to dodge all of it.

When some guards approached us, I immediately tried to fight them. They'll fucking get me at this rate so I immediately knocked out the others rather than fighting Zelo. He was on my level now or maybe even better. I knocked down the passers by in that hallway before I turned on my earpiece.

"Leo, can you hack through the security system now?" I asked Ares.

"Yup, I already got in their system. Macoy already helped me connect. Turn right, there are people running towards your destination," he said. Macoy is part of the President Security Group and got in here through Ares's help. He was our friend from the Tigers. One of Seb's bodyguards too.

"Thanks. Can you already detect where Hades is?” I ask.

"Hades is here. He was in the eastern part of the Palace, Umbrielle. Someone's on your side.” Ares is so calm but I know once I'm out of here, he'll really be scolding me doing these dangerous jobs.

“Focus, Umbrielle. You need to get out there. They are already running after you. More PSG already know your location," he said. I didn't speak, I climbed into a chair before waiting for someone to enter.

"Do it." That's my cue. I grinned when I escaped from three people. I ran in the direction where my son was in right now. I know for sure that when the child is already with me, Zelo will not be able to move. He'll make all these bodyguards stop chasing me.

"Your ex knows where you are. More people are coming to your place." I know that they will, if Ares knows where I am, Zelo surely knows better so what I need to fucking do is run towards them until I finally get to my son.

The PSGs are really good. But maybe I just got used to the strength of the Tigers back then and all those people I had a fight with were already weak for me. 

Or so I thought. Someone shot me in the fucking shoulder.

"I told all of you that you won't fucking shoot! Fuck!” I heard Zelo shout while cursing. I tore the cloth I was wearing with my teeth. I just tied it in my arm while hiding in a room.

"Fuck, your ex has a lot of people outside the door. You are cornered, Umbrielle.” My brother can't calm himself down anymore.

"Hmm, take care of my daughter, Brother. And watch after Hades too if I will leave being a corpse here," I said, the reason why Ares cursed.

I don't really have a plan to die here. I'll fucking get out of here alive. With my son. For the three of us to live together again.

I slammed the chair inside against the wall and took its front leg before waiting for someone to enter. I really expected a lot, so when they came in, I didn't think twice about breaking their bones, but of course, PSGs don't just hang around being Zelo's bodyguard, there are times when I feel like my bones are about to break whenever they get a hold of me. Just like how some of them are targeting my shoulder. I bit my lip hard before I winced when I felt the pain.

That was the reason why PSG had the opportunity to get me. One of them gave me a punch in the face while one punched me in my stomach causing me to sit down and spit blood.

"Fuck it!" I can already hear Ares cursing. I can hear him shouting too. He's losing his cool. 

"Stop watching now, I'll take care of the rest," I managed to laugh while coughing up blood. Someone took the earpiece from me. 

I was kicked and stepped on again but I heard a voice stopping them. Before I lost consciousness, I saw Zelo who was looking at me with angry eyes.

He stomped on the earpiece I was wearing before I heard him cursing harshly.

"Damn, is my life ending here?" I whisper to myself.
