Chapter 98

Lexi spoke with a bright smile as warm and refreshing as the sun. She was the kind of person Summer was looking for: someone she could talk to and laugh with.

Without asking further questions, Summer held Lexi's hand and declared, "It's you."

"What?" Lexi was confused for a moment, but Summer was already leading her out of the room.

In the living room, Summer said to James, "I want to hire her!"

James' discerning eyes scanned Lexi before he instructed quietly, "All right. Charlie, handle the formalities and assign her duties tomorrow."

"Yes, Mr. Quigley."

And so, Summer successfully found her first female bodyguard, Lexi. Although Lexi looked smart, she was slow to realize she had been hired. After a long while, she came to her senses and jumped ecstatically.

"This is amazing! I'm hired! Thank you, my ancestors, for blessing me. And my parents ..."

Summer was amused that Lexi was so happy to be hired. However, judging from her reaction, she was lively and optimistic indeed.
