James lowered his head, but he didn't kiss Summer. Instead, he simply brushed something away from her head.

"Summie, you have something over here," James said calmly, pointing out a speck of cotton in his hand. Summer's embarrassment intensified as she realized the innocuous reason for his closeness.

James moved away to discard the object, putting some distance between them.

Flushed with embarrassment, Summer felt a mix of emotions. She had been prepared for a possible kiss from James, but his simple gesture left her feeling disappointed yet relieved.

"James, where were we…" Summer tried to regain her composure, only to find James already engrossed in his work at the table, typing away furiously on his keyboard.

Then, Summer yelled, "James!"
