Clara entered her room with a stomp. As she walked inside the room, she pondered why he would shout at her. He did not need to be so harsh on her. She was clueless why he would act that way. Maybe not entirely, but partially. Raphael acted as if he did not trust her, though she had assured him that between her and Corentin there was only friendship and nothing else. He did not seem to trust her. Corentin has been really kind to her, though the two were not exactly close, she could tell the man had no ill intention toward her.
Raphael was definitely over reacting. Clara had no idea that a man's pride was his greatest flaw. By going out with Corentin, she automatically hurt his pride as a man. If a stranger, or any member of their family were to find out about it they would surely side with Raphael.
She jumped on the bed and buried her face on
"The best way to get along is never to forgive an enemy or forget a friend." -Walter Winchell- *** Clara woke up beside Raphael once more, since what happened that night she was nearly confident that sleeping beside him would be part of her daily routine, although she would never admit it. The room was getting brighter as the sunlight made its way through the crack of the window. As she lightly stretched her body, she stole a glance at the alarm clock beside her. It was still 5 A.M in the morning. After a rough night of exploring each other's body, the both of them were equally as exhausted. Clara had never expected him to have that sort of stamina. The man was an actual beast on the bed. Though she had to admit. It was a pretty amazing experience. She turned her face to him, the man slowly fluttered his eyes open to look at her. Both were smiling at the sight of each other. He had looked handsome. She had no idea why
"The best defense is a good offense." -Jack Dempsey- *** "What do you want?" Clara's ears were turning a bright red shade from fury, if she had nomanner she would literally slammed Giselle on the floor. Giselle let out a victorious grin, she tried to take control over Clara's subconscious mind, making her feel small like she did back them, by giving Clara assertive gestures. She had no idea Clara had changed from the pain, she was no longer the most patient women in existence and facing the devil herself was a tough challenge to her restraint. "Why do you have to come here, Clara? Can't you just let me and Marcel live in peace? Could itbe you are following us here? You have no dignity, do you? Stop embarrassing yourself, he chose me already!" She made sure to emphasize the last phrase. That was the last straw. Clara raised her hand and slapped Giselle once again, this time even harder than the last t
"The only way to have a friend is to be one." -Ralph Waldo Emerson- *** The car stopped on the proper parking lot and as the gentleman he was, Corentin opened up the door for Clara. They were stopping near Seine river, which roused her curiosity since it was not exactly the place she had in mind when Corentin told her he was taking her somewhere, correction, Clara had no idea what they were doing there. It was all Corentin's ideas, she simply tagged along with it. In the man's mind, closed spaces were not the best thing for someone who is in a low mood, so Corentin decided to take Clara on a casual walk along the Seine river which was an open space with naturalist touch mixed with the city vibe. Besides, the view in the evening would be breathtaking. It was pleasant indeed, Clara needed some fresh air after what had just happened. Sometimes she thought all she really needed all along was just a bit of sunshine
"You can be the moon and still jealous of the stars." -Gary Allan- *** Corentin drove her back home and to Clara's surprise, Raphael had been waiting for her on the front door. Something she never expected him to do. He had been home, though before he had previously told her he had to finish up work and might come home late. Turned out it was just Raphael's way of testing her, but Clara had no idea about this. Raphael had been home since 6 P.M, when he came home and found that Clara was yet to be there, he felt slightly annoyed. He had stood leaning on the pillar waiting for her anxiously for hours. If she was just hanging out with her female friends he would not be as worried, but it was Corentin she was with, and he trusted Clara, but not him. Corentin opened the door for Clara and right when she was outside Raphael walked toward her and snatched her hand, dragging her inside, but Corentin grabbed her other hand and
"Fear is the tax that conscience pays to guilt." -George Sewell- *** Giselle had been awfully silent during the diner. Everyone who had known her knew she was not the kind to remain sulky all day long, as someone who was somewhat of a gossip woman, she always had something to say. Yet that evening she appeared bothered. Resting her hand on the side of her cheek, she kept on pushing her fork into the meat with heavy pressure. It was already ripped by the time she picked up her knife to chop them. Marcel has cooked Coq au Vin for dinner, one of Giselle's favorite meal, but she barely had any appetite. Watching his lover's unusual attitude, Marcel was starting to get suspicious. Marcel could easily tell that something was definitely wrong from the way she had been acting since she got home from work. Usually when she was back she head straight to the kitchen to grab a glass of water before running toward him to give him a kiss.
"Little surprises around every corner, but nothing dangerous."-Gene Wilder-***Clara woke up that day with a bouquet of flower at the end of her bed. Instead of the usual white floral, this time there was an arrangement of red carnations. She reached out to it, turned out there was an attachment around the base, it was a hard cover letter, embossed in gold lettering. What a silly thing to give informally. It was so Raphael. He was always a predictable romantic. She flipped open the letter, finding another attachment. It was a note of apology along with an invitation for breakfast at the balcony.Clara had no idea what else Raphael was planning, with gentle force, she pushed her leg out from bed, headed straight to the bathroom to freshen herself. She washed her face, brushed her teeth, put on her morning moisturizer followed by a quick hair brushing. Still in her comfy white satin pajamas she walked out from her room and saw a
"A vacation is what you take when you can no longer take what you've been taking." -Earl Wilson- *** Within three hours they were heading to the airport. Raphael had booked two first class tickets, of course, someone as high caliber as he was, he needed to give her the utmost luxurious experience. All she had to do was to follow along. It was her first time flying first class. The service for those in the upper class as soon as she arrived, the flight attendant had guided them to their seat at the front part of the plane. They said money could not buy happiness. For Clara, what she saw before her was already a minor sign of happiness. Their seat acted double as bed, there were some complimentary drinks and snacks served right after they were seated. They had their privacy, since the first class was reserved only for those who were willing to pay for it, which were not that many. On the cushion while watching some news
"Dance with the waves, move with the sea. Let the rhythm of the water set your soul free." -Christy Ann Martine- *** After breakfast, they headed back to their room with full stomach. It was quite delightful to be accompanied by the ocean and it was a pleasant change of scenery for both of them. However, the day did not stop there. It merely marked the beginning of their unforgettable trip together. Closing the door, she headed straight on the bed, plumping down her body onto the bed creating a puff sound while Raphael took a seat beside her on the bed, stretching and relaxing his muscle as well. It felt so comfortable after flying for over a day long. Good thing they flew first class to begin with, otherwise she might strain her back from too much sitting. In the meantime, as they laid in bed curling up in the comfort, they discussed about their plan together that day, though there were many exciting places they woul
