As Athena turned away, Leon's eyes darkened with frustration. He couldn't let her leave like this. Not yet.

His future life could be really messed up! His good name has been tarnished in the eyes of the public; moreover, he also no longer has authority and power in this company.

Is this the peak of his downfall? No, Leon certainly didn't want that. He still wanted to enjoy life freely, without poverty and the scorn of those around him.

"Wait!" he finally said, his voice was sharp but laced with an urgency he didn’t intend to show.

Athena paused, her hand on the door handle, but she didn’t turn to face him.

"You can't do this...."

"Do what? Finally, free myself from you?" That made her scoff. Now, she did turn around, her expression unreadable.

"A divorce will only make things worse—for the company, for the media, for everything we’ve built. Do you have any idea what kind of mess this will cause?" Leon exhaled sharply, trying to reel in his pride.

"You should’ve thought about that

Her breathing grew more erratic, driven by her unanswered curiosity.Leon and Athena remained silent, though their sharp glances at each other showed the tension between them. They both seemed to be waiting for the other to speak first—until the heavy silence was suddenly broken by a loud, repeated knock on the door."Damn it!" Leon cursed, unable to think of anything else to say. He rubbed his face in frustration. He knew that if Crystal found out about his agreement with Athena, she would be furious with him."I’ll excuse myself to see who’s at the door, sir." Edward quickly decided to take the opportunity to escape the tense situation. The man, who was already quite senior, clearly didn’t want to get involved any further. Athena smirked slightly and stopped him bef

Waving one of her hands elegantly, Athena chose not to respond to Crystal’s threats. The smile at the corner of her lips faded slightly as the police officers began leaving her house, taking the woman with them. It faded even more when she glanced at Leon, who was still standing not far beside her."I thought you were the one they were going to take," she said lazily, making the man smile faintly."Turns out I wasn’t, right? The police wouldn’t possibly make a mistake in their investigation!"Scoffing, Athena finally turned away. She had no interest in talking to Leon any longer, especially since he didn’t seem to feel the slightest bit of sympathy for Crystal, who had just been taken away by the police.Did Leon truly have no heart? What could she possibly expect from a man like him? He could so easily go on with his life after driving Reyna to insanity. He didn’t even feel the slightest bit of guilt after ruining the lives of the women who had once loved him sincerely.Giving Edward

Everyone’s talking about you—poor, poor Crystal, thrown into a cell like a common criminal. Tell me, how does it feel?"Crystal's eyes narrowed even more. Her hands were clenched tightly as her emotions became unbearable, especially after the man before her seemed to laugh as if he was enjoying her annoyance."Are you here just to mock me?" she asked, which made him smile even more."Relax, I’m not your enemy. I might be the only person who can help you right now.""Helping me?" Crystal snorted in disbelief as she cast her gaze in another direction. "Why the hell would you do that?”His smile was evident, even behind the mask. The mysterious man reached into his pocket as he carefully observed the surroundings. He handed Crystal a photo that had been turned upside down, but she didn't open it right away and guessed first."Athena?""No! I’m talking about Leon!""Leon?" Crystal's e

Arthur’s deep brown eyes couldn’t look away from the breathtaking sight reflected on his phone screen. The glass surface seemed to be teasing him, urging him to approach the woman on the other side. His breath hitched as Athena’s movements slowed. And then, as if testing his resolve, she let her robe slip off completely, revealing a tantalizing silhouette barely covered by a thin, black fabric. The contrast between the dark material and her radiant white skin was utterly mesmerizing.Arthur struggled to steady his breathing, but it was useless—his eyes were glued to the stunning view before him. How could he not be tempted? Every curve of Athena’s body was a masterpiece, especially the two firm mounds that stood out so prominently, almost as if they were beckoning him."Damn it!" She knew Arthur would look for her, and that was exactly why she had to vanish. It was the only way to protect both him and Reyna from more pain."I'm sorry, prince. I'm so sorry," she whispered again, though the words barely reached her ears anymore.Tears welled as she hugged her knees to her chest, forehead pressed to the cool glass. The world outside carried on—cars passing, voices rising—but none of it touched her.The ache wasn’t just emotional anymore. It lived in her body now—tight in her chest, heavy in her limbs. Across the street, a couple walked hand in hand. The man leaned in to adjust the woman’s scarf, s

The rain didn’t fall that night, but the sky remained gray as if it understood that someone was lost in the deafening silence. In the room that once echoed with laughter, Arthur sat alone. The chandelier's dim light reflected dully in his lifeless brown eyes. His fingers gripped his phone tightly, as though he were holding on to the last pieces of hope, now almost completely shattered.Athena’s name was still displayed on the screen. And just like so many times before, there was no answer. He took a deep breath, trying to push down the tightness in his chest while replaying every memory he had of her."Ah, that tickles! Let me go!"That voice still sounded so soft in his ears—the way she giggled as he kept kissing her neck. The echo of her laughter was something he could never forget. Her gaze and her smile always warmed his heart, as if he could still feel them now."Where are you now?" he murmured, barely audible. "Why did you have to leave without a word? Throwing back the covers, Arthur climbed out of bed and padded to the bathroom door knocking lightly."Baby? You in there?"No answer.A chill crawled up his spine as he slowly pushed the door open. Empty. Pristine. The room smelled faintly of her perfume, but there was no trace of her presence. No running water. No voice calling back.He turned around, eyes scanning the bedroom again. She quickly smiled, before finally looking closely at the handsome face beside her with her fingers still finishing the melody."Don’t say that, prince.""I mean it. Watching you like this... I feel like I’m seeing magic!"Athena laughed for a moment, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. She let her fingers linger on a final note. Her voice softened. "So deeply that I can’t stop thinking about you every single second of my life!"With their foreheads pressed gently together, Athena and Arthur finally shared a kiss. It was soft and calming, surrounded by the beauty of the setting sun.
