'What am I doing? '

Bella thought to herself as Vaughn's kisses trailed to her neck, his fingers slowly working the loose ends of her dress. He had never kissed her like this before—slow and loving, almost as if he thought she would slip out of his grasp at any moment.

"Vaughn..." Her words were cut off when his lips pressed against hers once more. He backed her against the sofa, his fingers slipping through her dress to caress soft skin. Things were escalating so quickly that Bella feared if she didn’t do something now, she might not get the chance in a few more minutes.

"Vaughn!" Her trembling hands came up to push her husband's chest.

The billionaire pulled back with a small frown, but he didn’t give her the distance she so desperately needed.

"What’s the matter?"

"I don’t want to do this!"

"Come on, it’s just sex. We’ve had sex before, remember...?"

"It’s not just sex! It’s sex with a man who literally betrayed and destroyed my life! I’d be crazy to let this happen!"

"Your body...

  • The Perks Of Divorcing My Billionaire Husband   Painful Memories

As the crowd around the couple slowly dissipated, Bella felt even more uncomfortable. For a woman who was born into an elite society, Lucille sure wasn’t shy about showing her affection. Vaughn had always been the one to initiate intimacy whenever they were out in public. It was always a kiss, a hug, or hand-holding—nothing too extreme, since the public eye was always on them. She admired Lucille somewhat for her boldness, even if the man she was being affectionate with didn’t reciprocate. It was in Isaac’s nature to be nonchalant about things. He remained passive even as his fiancée kissed and hugged him, telling him how much she’d missed him. Bella took that as her cue to get the hell out of there before things escalated. Unfortunately for her, Isaac took notice of her retreating.“Come here,” he said, making her stop in her tracks. Lucille’s attention was quickly drawn to the woman who had captured Isaac’s focus.“I don’t want to interrupt. I can just go over there and get somethin

The Banquet was set for the evening of the next day. Bella spent the entire morning trying to pick out an outfit. There had been no theme on the invitation card, so she had no idea whether this was a formal setting or more of a costume-or-casual event. Rich people didn’t need reasons to throw events like this, so she wouldn’t be surprised if it was simply an excuse to socialize with more rich people. She tried asking Silas for help, since he was the only one in the house.“Get a stylist,” he said, not even looking up from his phone.Bella peeked through the gap in the door and studied the bedroom interior. It was simple—far simpler than her own room, and she’d only moved in recently. That must be because he didn’t stay around the house much, just like his brother and father. In fact, the Walkers were rarely seen at home. Though she figured they made an effort to come to dinner because of her. How flattering. After growing up in the Page household, she had always felt like a glass chil

“The last time I saw you, you were calling me crazy on live TV.” And yes, Bella was still very bitter about that.“Your memory is still bad.” The therapist had such a stoic face that she didn’t think it was possible for him to smile—but he was. His lips were curled up slightly, giving him a rather appealing look. He was handsome, but so was every other man in her life. “We met a few times after that. How have you been?”“Much better after the divorce. I can go where I want now, and I don’t have that lunatic monitoring my every move.”“That is something to be happy about.”They were both quiet. Edwin, despite being a therapist, wasn’t very talkative by nature—he was an introvert. Honestly, sometimes she wondered where her ex-husband got his people from.Thankfully, the awkward silence didn’t last, as her driver soon pulled up. “I’ll see you then.” Hopefully not. Edwin gave a small wave and watched her car zoom off.Back at home, she ran into Silas the moment she stepped through the doo

  • The Perks Of Divorcing My Billionaire Husband   Daily Life Of A Divorcee

When she’d been married to Vaughn, her life had been full of drama. There was always some woman out there wanting to steal her husband. But now, as a divorced woman, she found that life was rather boring. Maybe it was because she no longer had to worry about working or making money. Her family was wealthy, but that didn’t bring her much comfort. In the end, she was basically jobless, with not much to her name except that property in the Maldives. If she’d learned anything in life, it was to never rely on anyone ever again—and that trouble seemed to follow her everywhere she went. She was even afraid to step out of the house now. This morning, she woke up very early. She hadn’t slept much to begin with. She’d thought about what happened in Tokyo—Kyouka and his sister, that stupid Eric who seemed to show up at the worst possible times. And then her ex-husband, whom she naturally didn’t want to see. Her life was filled with people who could either hurt her or had already hurt her in the

  • The Perks Of Divorcing My Billionaire Husband   When You Are Mine Again

There was no one else in the house when Bella arrived. She had checked the living room, the library, the private lounge, and even the study, where her father and older brother usually spent most of their time at home. They must have been off working somewhere. Well, too bad. She had actually brought them something—just a few snacks she’d picked up from Japan. It was mostly guilt that compelled her to do something nice for them. After all, she was only able to travel and live comfortably because of their support. And she’d been giving them the cold shoulder ever since she moved back in after the divorce. Sure, she’d been going through a lot, but she could have at least tried to show some gratitude. She only realized how rude she had been now that she was clear-headed (and had almost gotten killed, thanks to Eric).Bella placed the bag of chips, sweets, and chocolates in the kitchen and grabbed a drink for herself. She went upstairs to her room, humming a tune under her breath. She froz

  • The Perks Of Divorcing My Billionaire Husband   The Heart Wants What The Heart Wants

The drive back to the villa is silent. While Kyouka is probably thinking of more ways to convince his sister to come back home, Bella is preoccupied with how she would face Vaughn. If she’d known that calling him at that time wouldn’t have helped her, she would have just relied on Eric—despite how useless the billionaire had been as well. She wonders how the scene would play out: Eric and Vaughn in the same room, breathing the same air. How entertaining that would be. When the car finally pulls up in front of Kyouka’s residence, Bella hesitates for a moment before stepping out and following the Yakuza leader inside.Eric and Vaughn are settled in the living room. Vaughn sits with his legs crossed, taking slow drags from a cigarette, while Eric signs a few papers under Ayato’s watchful eye. Bella is more surprised to see the two coexisting peacefully than by her ex-husband’s smoking. Vaughn didn’t smoke; he couldn’t stand the smell and was always quick to lecture about how harmful it w
