Will was silent most of the ride to the restaurant. But I could tell he wasn’t upset or mad or anything of that nature. It almost looked like he was.. happy?

“I think she finally has feelings for me that she can’t deny.” Will thought to himself. He finally realized that she felt the same thing that he’s felt for her since the moment he met her.

When they arrived at the restaurant, the valet took Will’s keys and parked his car in the parking garage while we rushed inside. We were just a tad late, but not too late where it would have been considered disrespectful. We took the elevator up to the top floor where Langley’s. The restaurant happened to be on the very top floor of this high rise. We stepped out of the elevator and the host immediately greeted us. Will him him that we were here to meet Dr. Laney. The host said to follow him and so we did. He was leading us to a corner table where we could see the city skyline from the windows on two sides of the table. It was absolutely brea

“Jared…” I started to say.. but before I could get anything else out of my mouth he hissed, “Are you here on a date with that guy from Tim’s college move in?!” I blankly stared back at him. Was he serious right now? This is the first time he’s seen me a month and a half, and this is how he wanted to react. I felt that anger that I thought had dissipated long ago rising back in the pit of my stomach. But before I could let that rage take over, I remembered. I remembered my baby… and this man was his or her father. A father I would hope may be in their life one day.“Would you calm down? We’re in a nice place and I don’t want my boss to see me hashing it out with some random guy. Not to mention even if I was dating, it’s none of your business anymore.” I hissed.Jared’s facial expression changed. “Boss? She was here on business and not a date?” He thought. He looked around the corner of the bathroom wall and seen there was indeed the college guy sitting at her table, but also a much o

It was dark outside and I only had the dim parking lights in my favor to read Will’s face. But I saw no reaction. Nothing to give me any clue as to what he was thinking. But he was silent. So I guessed he just didn’t know what to say to me. He needed time to process what he just heard. “Will, I’m just going to head inside.” So I went to turn to open the door and Will’s hand stopped me. He didn’t say anything. He just got out of the car really quick and came over and opened my door from the outside for me. Still quiet, he walked me to my door, in which I dug through my bag to get my key and opened the door. I walked in and turned to see Will just at the door’s threshold. “Are you going to invite me in?” Shocked he even wanted to talk, I nodded my head yes in response. We both walked towards the living room as Will took his jacket and tie off and untucked his shirt before sitting down on my couch. I was suddenly really uncomfortable in my dress and headed towards my room to change int

I woke up in my bed. I honestly don’t remember getting there. The last thing I remember was being snuggled in Will’s arms. I was holding in that secret from him for so long that I couldn’t hold back the tears when it was released. I got up and went to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror. I was a MESS. My makeup from last night was smeared and my hair was a frizz ball on the top of my head. I suddenly felt embarrassed. I wondered if Will seen me like this last night. Just thinking of his name though left me with a smile on my face. I cleaned up my face and brushed my hair. I was still smiling as I walked out and past the living room and into my kitchen. But in my kitchen was Will. He had never left last night. And he was standing there looking inside my fridge… in just his boxer briefs. I couldn’t help but stare. His well defined calves, his muscular arms, his perfect butt. He then realized I was there and obviously staring as he turned around. It was then confirmed that h

  • The Perfect Disaster    Chapter 27

It was Monday morning. To say I was dreading today would have been an understatement. I had no idea what to expect. Would he be furious at me? Would he understand that he hurt me in the one way he promised to never do and I needed time? There were just so many questions swirling around in my head that I was starting to get a headache. I finally got to work and walked in the entrance. Glenn was standing there waiting for me. He had a huge smile on his face when he seen me walk in. I knew Will had called his dad to explain to him that he wasn’t coming home Friday night. He was honest with his dad and said that he stayed at my place. I wasn’t sure how Glenn would react to that news. “Becca” Glenn said as he walked up to me and hugged me again. This time I was really uncomfortable about it since it was at work and people were watching. “I have the legal team upstairs putting together all the necessary paperwork and documents to get this foundation up and running. Once they are completel

I was home for maybe a hour or two now and I received a text from Will. He had heard that his dad gave me the rest of the day off and asked if he should stop after class since his dad gave him the afternoon off as well. I told him of course he can stop. I was actually thinking about going grocery shopping tonight if he wanted to go with me. And of course he replied that he would. When Will got to my apartment, he had brought back Tim’s clothes- already washed and folded so I could place them back with the other forgotten items at my place. I was glad he did not just give them back to Tim, because then we both would have had a lot of explaining to do. I wasn’t ready to tell my brother that his pregnant sister was dating and it was one of his friends from school. I did however need to talk to him, so I sent him a text that he should call me or come over a night this week so we could talk. I knew he had class tonight. So I was in the clear for a night with Will. “Since you decided on

When we got back to my condo, Will insisted on carrying everything in himself- against my protest. But I decided this wasn’t an argument worth having. I was slightly worried he was going to treat me differently now that he knew I was pregnant.. and it worried me. I wasn’t someone who depended on others. I was a pretty confident, independent woman. So I went in and sat down on the couch and put on a series I was rewatching. When Will finished putting everything away in the kitchen, he joined me on the couch. By that point I had pulled down the blanket that was laying on the top of the cushions and snuggled up in it. It was November so it was chilly outside and made a blanket feel necessary. Will pulled the cover up and settled into it as well. He watched a few minutes of my show then asked, “how’d things go with Jared?” I turned my focus towards him. I guess I really didn’t talk to him about it to be honest. He’s probably been waiting all day for me to say something. I felt bad. “I

The next month flew by and it was already time for my next appointment. Jared and I had talked here and there about the baby, and he was coming to pick me up for my appointment today. I decided to work from home today so I didn’t have to go into the office. That was probably the best part of the new foundation. I wasn’t quite ready yet to announce my pregnancy to the office, so I worked from home a lot lately. I did a video call in one or two times a week to update Glenn. The legal team was just a call away too when I encountered any problems that needed that specific kind of answer. I was currently finding doctors who would participate in donating their time and learning the intricate procedure. In the last month, we had found our first trial recipient. RU would be covering the cost of this surgery and all other expenses to make sure the leg works as needed. I researched for a deserving individual who would not only benefit from the surgery, but also someone who would be willing to

  • The Perfect Disaster    Chapter 31

It was just last week that I told Jared and that I was dating, and a part of me realized I was done keeping secrets. I decided I was going to go into the office today and talk to Glenn about my pregnancy. I was hoping he wouldn’t be upset with me for hiding it considering he was trusting me to get his foundation up and going. I had mentioned to Will about what I was doing. He was relieved. His dad knew that we were dating, and to be honest he was very excited about it too. Apparently he had been wanting Will to date and maybe think about settling down soon. Will was in his early 30s. I walked into the office. I wore a large cardigan over my dress to hide my pregnancy until I talked to Glenn. I seen Will standing by the open balcony upstairs so I knew that his dad was in the office up there. I took the elevator up and walked over to his space. He was reading up on projects that were going on in the building and their progress. I knocked on the window, and Glenn looked up. A big smile

It was no surprise when we got to the restaurant later that night that the entire place was booked out for just us. When we walked in, the wait staff took our coats and led us to the back of the restaurant where there was a view of downtown out the window. Will and I were the last ones to arrive. Sitting at the table were no other than Jared and Megan, Will’s dad, Tim and to my shock- Avery! She must have realized that her presence was a surprise so she got up quickly from her seat to rush over and give me a hug. It was definitely too long this time.. definitely considering that SO much has happened since the last time I had seen her. “How long are you in town?!” I asked her excitedly. “Only tonight actually. I have a guest lecture that I leave early in the morning for… my flight leaves at 3 in the morning so I’m staying at the airport.” I was so excited to see her, even if it was just going to be for a couple hours. Next to stand up was Tim. “I guess since I surprised you with A

The next morning I realized Will had never stopped in after he was down at the hospital. I looked at my phone, but there weren’t any messages. I felt a thousand times better this morning. I walked over to the bathroom to brush my teeth and whatnot and walked back to my room to change. I had an appointment I had to get ready for today. After getting myself ready I walked out to the kitchen. I was really in the mood for cereal this morning, which was super odd for me, but went with it anyways. When I turned the wall to my kitchen, there was Jared. I jumped. I didn’t realize he had stayed the night. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. Will text me last night and said he wouldn’t be able to take your to your appointment today, so I should stay to keep an eye on you.” I wasn’t sure if I was more mad at Will for texting Jared instead of me, or that he told him he should stay. “I promise you that I slept on the couch.” Jared said seeing that I was upset. “I was planning on staying un

Will and I did not waste any time. The next morning we started going to open houses in the area. Considering my hefty inheritance, we really didn’t need to be approved for a mortgage. Will obviously had a lot of money saved from working and he had a trust his dad had given him when he turned 25, which he didn’t touch at all yet. So we could look at anything we wanted. I wanted a three bedroom but Will wanted something bigger. He never said it out loud, but I could tell that he wanted kids… a few at least. I wasn’t sure if I was ready for more beyond this one just yet. Since I wasn’t allowed back at work yet, I decided I would kind of make this my priority over the next couple days. I would check out each property I loved and write a pro and con list to each one. I already found a spare binder to organize from my favorite down. As I put in the last listing into the binder, I realized how ridiculous I was. I was going stir crazy not being at work. That’s when I got a phone call from t

  • The Perfect Disaster    Chapter 39

Will and I both woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. It was Glenn. “Will, are you coming back to the hospital? Sarah is really hoping that you will help her with her session today.” I could hear him say through the phone. “Also, have you talked to Becca? I haven’t heard anything and wanted to make sure she was okay.” Will grinned. “She’s right here dad. She’s doing fine.” “I’m sorry. Did I wake you guys?”“No worries Dad. We needed to get up anyways.” It was definitely the truth. We both slept way longer than we meant to. “Can you tell Glenn that I send my paperwork in today?” Glenn must have heard me because before Will could say anything back to me, or to him he was scolding me.“Will, I told her that work is the last thing she needs to focus on right now. She needs to take a week or two and rest. We will talk about work when I am ready to.” Will chose not to repeat his dad back at me since he knew I heard him through the phone. I shifted to the edge of the bed. I reall

  • The Perfect Disaster    Chapter 37

I woke up groggy in a hospital bed. “Wait. I thought I was here for Sarah..” I thought to myself. I looked at myself. I was in a gown. I had an IV in one arm and a blood pressure cuff on the other. Will was sitting on one side of my bed… and Jared on the other. “Wait. Did I just see Jared. No. It can’t be.” I was still thinking to myself. “The baby. Oh no.” That’s when the monitor started beeping and both men realized I was awake. Jared yelled for a nurse. “Becca, calm down. Everything is okay.” Will’s words alleviated some of my stress. He grabbed my hand and gently touched my face, trying to comfort me. Jared had found a nurse and they came into the room. “Alright honey. The doctor will stop in in a little bit to explain more in detail, but you have high blood pressure. Has your OB mentioned it to you at all?”“They were watching it, but nothing was said or done about it.” I was still a little out of it. “Okay, well we have you started on an IV dose to help get that pressure

I wash just washing my hair as Will stepped into the shower behind me. He wrapped his arms around my pregnant belly and kissed my shoulder. I couldn’t believe how madly in love I was with this man after only a short few months. I grabbed his arms with my arms and held on tight. This feeling was one I wanted to soak up. I’ve never felt so loved and so safe in someone’s arms. Soapy hair and all, I turned around to face Will. His eyes were gleaming with happiness and love. I wanted to stay in that shower all day. Then my stomach let out a super loud growl. Will started to laugh. I just realized how hungry I really was. “I will get you something as soon as we finish in the shower and make our way back to the hospital.” Will said as he moved a strand of soapy hair away from my eyes. I honestly had almost forgotten about going back to the hospital. “I guess really great sex can screw with your mind too.” I thought to myself. We both finished up in the shower rather quickly to make sure w

  • The Perfect Disaster    Chapter 35

After the doctor’s updated us about the completion and succession of Sarah’s first phase, I asked Will to take me home so I could nap. I found it hard some days to not take at least 30 minutes if not an hour during my day to relax and sleep. I was guessing it was all about my body doing so much extra work for the baby. Will explained to his dad that I rode with him this morning, and Glenn pretty much pushed us out of the door and told us to go eat and get some sleep. He was going to go do the same. Sarah’s next phase was going to take 14-18 hours. They actually had doctors coming in to relieve the others halfway through. We all decided to come back in about 12 hours and see if we could get an update at that point. A part of me felt so sorry for the amount of pain Sarah would wake up with, but knowing she was doing this for her kids proved to me that a mother’s bond will overcome any obstacles. Will and I both went back to my place and we were barely in bed for more than 5 minutes bef

  • The Perfect Disaster    Chapter 34

We both woke up to the sound of Will’s alarm blaring. It was definitely a morning I didn’t want to leave bed… but for multiple reasons. Will turned off his alarm and I scooted over so he could cuddle me. After last night, I had no idea why I didn’t jump his bone the first time I thought about it. Sex with Jared was great, but this was an entire new level. “I really want to lay here with you all day… but I really want to go to the hospital today too and celebrate the procedure.” I spoke softly since we both were barely awake. Will ran his hand down my body and landed on my stomach. His hand lingered as if he was waiting to feel a kick. “I love you Becca.” He looked me in the eyes as those words slipped off his lips. I could barely believe myself as I didn’t hesitate to say it back. I was almost shocked that I actually loved this man after this short amount of time. Will kissed my forehead then started to get up from the bed. If we both didn’t get up and get ready, we would both be l

Will and I both made it to the couch. We were kissing each other like this was our last night we had to live. The intensity of each kiss grew. As he sat down on the couch, I draped each of my legs around his. His hands reached for my back to pull me in closer as mine went for his hair. I pulled gently, and I teased him by slightly biting his lip. We both grinned devilishly at each other. He slide his hand up my back and grabbed some of my hair this time. That’s when his kisses moved from my lips to my neck. I had almost forgot how amazing that could feel. I let out a slight moan and I instantly felt a jolt going through Will’s body. I was positive we were on the same page tonight. Will kept moving his lips down my neck and he reached my chest. I had put button up pajamas on after Tim had left, but luckily I wasn’t wearing a bra. Tim ripped my shirt off and started sucking my nipple. My nipples were so much more sensitive right now being pregnant and all but I definitely was enjoying i
