Third-person POV“Mama!” Natsumi exclaimed as soon as Twilight came into the room. She scrambled out of her grandpa’s arms and ran into her mom’s. She relished the familiar smell of Twilight’s shower gel.“Hey, you.” She peppered Natsumi with kisses. Her dad pulled them both into a hug.“You have no idea how glad I am that you’re ok. You’re not hurt, are you?” He asked while checking her for any visible injuries.“I was, but it wasn’t anything too bad.”“As long as you’re back in one piece. How about all three of us go out for lunch?” He suggested. “My treat.”“Great timing. I haven’t eaten anything since coming back. Come on, Tsumi. Let’s go break pop-pop’s bank account.”Later…“I tried to appeal for your sentence to be reduced after what happened with your pack,” Twilight told Trey. “Unfortunately, I had no luck. I can’t exactly go around changing laws to suit my circumstances. But don’t worry, I’m checking in with Daisuke now and then to make sure your pack is ok.”“That’s fine. I
The next night…Third-person POV“May I ask you something?” Trey asked.“You already are but sure.”“I’m curious to know what you do that makes you so tired most of the time. I get that you have a pack and pup to care of, but it doesn’t always add up.”“I have a job, but I do work from home most of the time. Other than that, I do other small things, like helping out in the kitchen whenever we have a pack dinner and the farms on Mondays and Wednesdays. I mostly got into all that after Natsumi’s dad and I split up to keep myself busy. I thought I’d stop after a while, but I guess enjoy it more than I thought I would.”“Would it make any difference if I suggested that you slow down?”“No. Your words would just go in one ear and out the other.”“I thought so,” He sighed."Anyway, you never told me about what you do for work. I remember you mentioning something about pups that one time."“I'm a certified child psychologist. I like working with them, and they feel the same.”“Ah, that's why
The next day…Third-person POV“Ams?” Trey came into her office. She got up and ran into his arms.“I thought you’d have at least wanted me to shower first,” He said.“You do stink, but I’m already used to it. What are you doing here though? You still have two weeks left.”“I was let out for good behaviour. That or they got tired of the noise I was making every time I beat the daylights out of Daichi.”“The latter sounds more believable. Are you going back to your pack now?”“What if I said later?”“I wouldn’t mind you staying a little longer. Come on,” She took him to her room.“You can use my shower and take a nap or sleep in here afterwards. I got a few things yesterday in case you wanted to stay here, but I forgot to get men’s shower gel. The closest thing I have is a lemon-scented one.”“That’s fine as long as I get to shower. I wouldn’t want my pack to see me in such a pathetic state.”“I’ll leave you to it then. Oh, and a few of your clothes are still in my closet,” She said be
Twilight POVIt’s been almost two weeks since I last spoke to him. Everything is supposed to be fine now, or at least I thought it’d be. This whole thing is bothering me, and it’s not supposed to.I want to call him, but call him and say what? I could start by apologising for bringing up the two-mates thing out of nowhere. Then what? We go back to how things were in the beginning? Honestly, that’s how things should’ve stayed, and maybe, I wouldn’t be so conflicted.Trey POVShould I call her? I’ve been staring at my phone, with her contact on the screen, for who knows how long. I don’t even know if she wants to talk to me.“How long are you going to keep staring at her number?”Daisuke was sitting in front of me.“When did you get here?” I asked.“A while ago. You were so lost that you didn’t even
The next day...Third-person POV“What time is it?” She asked.“08:05”“Oh shit.”“What?”“I was supposed to pick up her dress over half an hour ago and bring it to her five minutes ago. And the wedding is at 9...”In her hurry, she tried to get out of bed, but almost ended up falling off and landing on her face before he caught her.“Not that I'm not taking you seriously, but I think you should slow down a little before you break a bone or two.”“My best friend's been waiting 25 years for this day, and I'm not about to screw it up for her. If I have to break a bone or two, then so be it.”“Alright, but don't attack me. I was just saying.”Half an hour later...She was about to exit the shop when she got an incoming call from Mitsuri. Deciding that she'd rather deal with
A few weeks later…Third-person POV“Happy biwthday, Papa.”“Thank you, Nugget. But how did you know it was today?”“I told her, and happy birthday.”“Oh. Thanks.”“Got you pwesent, Papa.” She gave him a gift bag and inside was a watch. “Likes it?”“Yes, I do. So, I'm having dinner with my parents later and they asked me to ask you to come over. If you want to.”“Ok but will...”“Yeah, she'll be there.”“Then I'll have to bring Trey with me. I'm not trying to get even; he'll just be there to stop me from doing something I won’t regret.”“It's alright.”Later that night...“Are you sure you want to eat that much?” Matako asked. “Or are you aiming to pack more pounds than you already have?”
Third-person POVThe next day, Natsumi came into Twilight's room and jumped on her causing her to wake up.“Happy biwthday, Mama.”“Thank you, honey, but you don't have to wake up me like that.”“But excited.”“Sigh. I can't stay mad at that face.”“C'mon, Mama.” She dragged her out of bed. “See pwesent.”“Ok ok. I'm coming.”She was taken to her dad's room.“So, she actually woke you up. I tried to stop her, but she was already gone.”“Pop-pop, give Mama pwesent.”“Alright.”He gave her a gift bag. Inside was a simple, white summer dress with spaghetti straps and black butterflies at the hem.“You likes it, Mama?”“Of course, I do.”“I's best pwesentew.”She didn't want to burst Natsumi's bubble
Twilight POV Crap. Busted. Wait, no, I haven't done anything yet, so I'm not busted. In fact, why am I acting guilty of doing something I didn't do when I should be pissed right now? “How many?” I asked. “Can you ask a normal question, so I know what you're talking about?” I showed him the wallpaper. “Oh. That.” Is he serious? “That's all you have to say?” I asked. “I was supposed to say more?” “Ok. Well, this is unbelievable.” “It's not as if I can deny it, and besides, it’s just a picture.” “Just a picture? Actually, I'm more surprised by the fact that you're even calling it a picture.” “C'mon, it's not that bad.” Not that bad? He's practically asking me to throttle him right here and now. “Besides, it's my favourite one,” He continued. “Favourite one? You mean there's more?” I'm having a flashback of all the not-so-graceful moments I've had while he was around. And they're a lot. “Yeah.” “Tell me you're joking.” “I'm not.” “I'm never getting comfortable around y
1. Book 2 was never planned. It’s literally based on me putting two brain cells together to come up with ideas cuz the first book exhausted the rest of my brain cells, and I obviously didn’t expect to be writing a book 3. I was going to write one, but now it’ll be book 4 (we’ll get to that another time). 2. Natsumi’s name was originally Hakumei because it translates to twilight. Then I changed it to Koharu (which means little sun) because of her blonde hair, but I decided to make it Natsumi because...I just liked it better ok. 3. Back to the second point, Natsumi was originally blonde like Takumi, but I changed her colour to black to make the genetics thing a little more realistic. 4. In the beginning, Twilight and Trey were already supposed to be together (as in during those three years, she and Trey made up), but I don’t know why I didn’t add it in. 5. Twilight wasn’t supposed to have two wolves, but I thought it would be cool, so I added that. 6. Twilight and Trey were suppose
This is where the second book ends (yay). I’m ending it here because I felt that the storyline was starting to get too long for one book. This means that there’ll be a third book, but (drumroll) it’ll be part 2 of this one. But I’m calling it Mates and Temptations because The Pains of Guilt Part 2 didn’t sound catchy. And as a special little something, I added a bonus chapter after this one and a little blurb about the third book. I don’t have an exact date for when I’ll release book 3 because when it comes to my writing, I hate deadlines (they make me rush things and it affects the quality of my writing). The only reason I had one for this book is that I already had a lot of chapters ready for release long before I finished the first book. Anyway, book 2 will be available for purchase from retailers around mid-January or the first week of February (there's a ton of editing I need to do while also working on book 3). Blurb: Twilight and Trey have finally reconciled and accepted each
