Simon

“Alpha, we found her,” my warriors say.

I’d tracked Yara to the university where my father had been hiding her for years. He knew I wanted her and he helped her escape from me. And then, he’d lied to me about it. He told me she left, renounced him as her Alpha, and that no one had been able to find her.

At first, I had believed him. I’d searched on my own, of course, needing to find that pretty little thing, that sweet-smelling, seductive little woman that I will take as my mate. She’s smart, I like that. And while she doesn’t say much, I can tell by the way she looks at me and others that she’s got a smart mouth. On the rare occasion that she actually opens her mouth, she proved me right. I love the idea of taming that mouth of hers, of wielding her to my will, of making her mine in all ways. When I’m done killing, I always need a sweet pussy to fuck, and I just know that hers will be sweet. And since I know she’s never been with any of my warriors, I know hers will be sweet and

WarrenAs much as I didn’t want to leave Yara, I knew I needed to pack to see me. Haynes and Gael aren’t the only warriors who will test me. However, rather than pushing me to show my strength, the pack surprises me. Everyone is interested in Yara.“Is she really your mate, Alpha?”“Yes, she’s my fated mate,” I say, sitting at a centrally located table, making sure everyone can see me eating and functioning. For now, my fatigue is pushed aside.“Where did you find her?”I chuckle. “She found me. I was caught in the bear trap, some of you found me there with Beta Charlie. She heard Arric rustling around, trying to find a way out of the trap. Or maybe Annika, her wolf, smelled us. I’m not sure, but she came and got me out.”“She’s a doctor?”“She is. A resident, but she’s majoring in human medicine, veterinary medicine, and zoology.”“Why zoology?”I explain what Yara told me and I’m happy that I know enough about my mate to be able to answer the pack’s questions.“Is she really taking D

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 18: Hospital

YaraI race to the banister, watching as Warren gracefully shifts into Arric. If I wasn’t looking for it, wasn’t paying attention, I wouldn’t have seen him flinch. Dammit! I knew that leg wasn’t healed enough to shift.“I’ll have to start all over again,” I mumble as I grab a pair of shorts and put them on as I race down the stairs. I quickly pull my hair up into a ponytail, tying it in knot which will have to do for now.“Luna, this way!” a pregnant she-wolf says to me.“I’m not going to the safe room,” I say, turning as nearly everyone in the room stops to look at me.I turn, and look at them. “I’m a doctor! Your pack members will need me. GO! If you’re part of the medical team and you’re not pregnant and don’t have young pups, get your ass to the hospital. NOW!”I watch as the pack jolts with my command, but I don’t have time to wonder about it. I race out of the front of the packhouse and down the cobblestone drive to the hospital.“Luna, there are only a couple of us who can assis

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 19: Respect

WarrenFucking Brady is attacking again. His warriors have to be as exhausted as mine are, but here he is, attacking again. The asshole.I’m not sure how he knows that I’m injured, but I’m definitely the target of this attack. While my warriors may have one wolf each attacking them, I have multiple wolves, constantly attacking me, trying to take me down. Each time one of my warriors goes out, the attacking wolf joins the attack on me.At first, I was able to keep up, killing them as fast as they were attacking me. But my warriors are too exhausted, run down, and now, I’m sure, not healing as they should because of my previous fucking doctor. As I face off against Brady, I feel a wolf bite down on my broken leg that hasn’t healed and was reinjured when I shifted. Arric howls in pain before turning and ripping half of the face off the wolf who bit us. That’s when Charlie entered the fight with me. He’d leaped over me, putting himself between me and the other wolves, including Brady.‘CH

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 20: Taking Charge

YaraI have no idea what Dr. Stevens is doing here. Well, actually, I’m pretty sure he thought he was going to come in and take over the hospital. What I don’t understand is why he tried to do that in front of Arric? Warren was clear with him that the hospital was mine.I must be muttering out loud again because Savannah keeps glancing up at me and smiling as she helps me to close off the internal bleeding that Charlie had. That’s why his heart was struggling. He was losing blood as fast as his heart was pumping it.“Okay,” I say, stepping back. “Close him up, let’s keep a close eye on him. If Dr. Stevens is back, how many more nurses can we expect?”“Only two more Luna. That’s all we have.”“One doctor and five nurses for a huge pack of fighting warriors. Okay, we’ll make it work. Also, who does the ordering for medical supplies?”“I do, Luna.”“Let’s talk, sooner rather than later. We’re missing some things that we need in the supply room.”“Yes Luna. I’ll tell you, I’m pretty sure

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 21: Adjectives

WarrenOnce again, I can’t resist this woman. She’s incredible. I knew my instincts were right to trust that the Moon Goddess would one day send me the woman that was meant for me, but I had no idea that I would be worthy of such a woman as Yara. She’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a mate and so much more.I know I’m covered in blood and guts, but in truth, so is she. I don’t love that she smells like nearly every warrior in my pack, but I also know why she does. One day, hopefully very, very soon, my scent will be stronger than any of theirs because it will be my mark on her neck.Tasting her, having her in my arms, smelling her sweet cinnamon and nutmeg scent is relaxing me, calming me, and healing me in ways that nothing else in this world has ever done. When I pull her into my arms, it wasn’t conscious. Well, maybe it was for Arric. My wolf is nearly as desperate for our mate as I am. I felt her body tense and then relax as her arms slide around my neck. I let myself get lost in

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 22: Pack's Response

YaraDamn. This Alpha is too smart for his own good. It’s probably why he’s still alive and most of his pack members are too. It’s also why he’s still the Alpha of this pack after twelve long years of fighting.“What if it is Simon that I’m afraid of? What difference does it make?” I ask him.“You’re not just afraid of him, Yara. You’ve been hiding from him for a very long time. Years. And the difference is that now, I know who I’m protecting you from. I’ll protect you from anyone who attacks us, but I’ll put a separate focus on Simon. I’ve also sent a warrior to collect your things from the university and erase your presence there…”“WHAT?!” I ask, appalled. “No, Warren! I’ve worked too hard, too long for you to erase it! Do you even understand what you’ve done?” I ask, as tears prick my eyes. All my hard work, all my studies, gone.“I’m keeping you safe, Yara!” he says, as if this is supposed to make it okay that he’s erased seven of the most grueling years of my life. And this is e

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 23: Apology

WarrenI watch as Yara walks out of the hospital. I take another step to follow her but a wall of warriors steps in my way.I snarl, ready to fight my way to her.“Alpha, give her some space. If you push her now, you could lose her forever,” Savannah says. “The warriors will watch over her. We’ve all obviously learned to love our Luna in a very short amount of time.”That’s the understatement of the fucking millennium. I can’t believe my pack just basically turned on me to protect Yara. Shit, if she was so inclined, they’d probably take her as their fucking Alpha. Although, it didn’t escape me that she told them that she’d be disappointed in them if they tried to fight me in my current state. Disappointed, not angry. A true Luna.“Come on, Alpha. Let’s get you stitched up. It looks like our Luna got your bones all reset, but I’ll take a look.”When we get back to the room, I look at her. “Savannah, I need a phone.”“I’ll find one after I finish this.”“No, I need it now. • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 24: Healing

YaraNo one’s ever gotten me flowers before. I don’t know why seeing the bright, colorful bunch of wildflowers makes me feel special, but it does. Maybe it’s because of the man who got them for me, or because I know that it’s so far out of his wheelhouse that it was a conscious effort on his part to try and make up to me.I’m also surprised that he put a stop to wiping my school records. I just assumed that he wouldn’t care, that he would do what he wanted because he’s an Alpha and he knows best. But he didn’t. He seemed to understand the importance of my education and he made sure to keep my records intact.I’m not upset about him getting my things from my room. He’s right that it’s not safe for me at the university any longer. I’m glad I won’t have to go back and possibly run into Simon. The only other option for me was to leave everything behind and I hated that. It may not be much, but my entire life was in that dorm room.Warren falls asleep before I do, but I follow closely behin

YaraI probably should care more that Simon will die a painful death because of what he did to me, but I don’t. He didn’t just hurt me. He hurt Piper, he hurt my pack’s warriors, he hurt Bradley, and most important, he hurt Warren. My mate is a strong, powerful man and I’d felt the lack of confidence in him, the feeling that he’d failed me. No one gets to make my mate feel like that. No one. So for all of that, he can suffer.I know Warren and the pack will make him suffer in their own way but I know how to hit Simon where it hurts. He’s wanted me for a very long time, he even killed his father for protecting me and keeping me hidden. So, yeah, I knew that flaunting my relationship with Warren in front of him would make him crazed and I’d been right.Of course, I had the added benefit of claiming my mate in front of the pack. As angry as they are with Simon, and there’s a lot of rage there, I felt their excitement when I announced that Warren and I were trying for a pup. When we walk

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 70: Simon's Return

WarrenWaking up with Yara back in my arms and safe, is incredible. Waking up with my mate straddling me and sliding herself down my hard length is fucking fantastic.I’d spent hours reconnecting with Yara, mentally and physically last night, needing to feel the connection to her, needing to feel her. And now, apparently, my mate needs more. You won’t hear me arguing, especially when I get to watch her beautiful body bouncing on me, feel her body clenching around me as comes, hear her sweet sounds as she finds her pleasure, and then see those intense eyes when they focus on me. I knew this woman would be all passion when she finally let go and here she is.“More!” she growls, still hungry for me. Just me. The possessiveness in me is unlike anything I’ve ever felt. Yara has become the air that I breathe. She is everything that I need in this world and this world would be nothing without her.I flip our positions, putting her on her back and pulling both legs over my shoulders grinding m

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 69: Unprotected

YasminThere was only one place for Quirin and I to go. Back to our pack. There’s no one there now, my son is the Alpha of nothing thanks to his greedy father, but that’s okay. We’ll find a way. I’ll find a way to bring my son back to the position he was born for. The only reason I accepted Quinton as my chosen mate was so that my son could be an Alpha. Quinton was fine as a mate, he never forced himself on me, but there was never any love there. It was always an understanding. I give him what he wants and he takes care of me for the rest of my life.I held up my end of the bargain, but he’s completely fallen short on his. He can’t take care of me if he’s dead. And now, I’m weak and I have to protect my young son.It takes us nearly a day to get back to the pack at the slow pace we have to go because my wolf is silent. I can only walk so far before I need to stop and rest. Quirin is quiet and since there’s nothing that I can say to make losing his father better, I stay quiet too.I bre

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 68: Marked

NoelleWhen Charlie left, going to find Alpha Warren, I’d realized something very important. If he didn’t return, I’d be devastated.I’ve watched him tirelessly run this pack while Alpha Warren has been gone. He’s strong, but fair, allowing Quinton’s pack members to remain here until Warren can decide if he’ll accept them into the pack. He’s a better Alpha than Thomas ever was, and he’s not even an Alpha.I haven’t had time to join the pack with everything going on, so I don’t have a mind link to make sure that my mate is safe. And he is my mate, he is everything I have ever wanted in a mate, and so much more. And now that I’ve made my decision to accept him, I want to make official right now.Of course, that’s not an option. The pack is in chaos, our Alpha and Luna are gone and now our Beta is gone. I may be the unofficial Beta female, but without a pack link, I’m useless to assist. The same is true for my sister. With Haynes acting as Alpha, she could help him if they were marked and

YaraI wake with the smell of teakwood in my nose and the feeling of warm water surrounding my body. I jolt awake, unsure of what’s happening.“Shhh, we’re both filthy and you smell like Simon. I didn’t want to go to sleep like this, so we’re getting a bath. You can relax, I’ll take care of you,” Warren says. Just the sound of his voice soothes me.I snuggle closer to him, needing his touch and smell after having been with Simon.“Are you okay?” I ask him. I can feel the warring emotions inside of him.He squeezes water over my shoulder, letting it rinse off the smell of the cave that I have on me. That and the scent of Simon. I don’t even want to know why my body smells like him.“I should be asking you that. But, I’m better, now that you’re here and safe in my arms,” he says.I look up at him and when he looks at me, his teeth snap together and he looks away.“I’m sorry you have to see me like this,” I say softly, knowing my bruised face is a reminder to him of what he considers an i

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 66: Safe

WarrenI felt something deep inside me ease when I got Charlie’s mind link about Yara. I’m still about an hour away from Harold’s pack, but Arric pushes us hard to get there, leaving our warriors behind. Yara said she needed us. I don’t know what happened to her, what Simon may have done to her, and I don’t care right now. We’ll get through it. I’m just so thankful that she’s safe. When I get close to Harold’s pack, I howl that I’m coming in. Hopefully they know that I have no intention of waiting for the patrols to let me through. I need to see my mate and nothing will keep me from getting to her.As we catch her scent, Arric pushes even faster, following her scent, along with the scent of antiseptic, to the pack hospital. Arric rushes into the hospital and I shift without stopping. Everyone in the waiting room, including Alpha Harold just points and I rush to her room, slamming the door open. The first thing I see are her bruised, swollen cheeks. Simon will die slowly for touching wh

  • The Pack's Doctor   Chapter 65: The Call

CharlieI haven’t gotten more than two hours of sleep since Luna Yara was taken and Alpha Warren left the pack. I’m beyond exhausted, but more than that, I can feel the tension in the pack, the anxiety about not knowing what’s going to happen to their Alpha and Luna. I have the same anxiety, but I’m the pack’s current leader, so I shove it aside. In the past, I would have also felt the pack’s desire to test me, to test the strength of the leader of this pack. It’s nice to know that Luna Yara’s influence has extended past her and Alpha Warren. She’s somehow made the pack feel whole, like it should. So now, anyone who would try to go against me, to test me, would break that bubble of security and I think the entire pack would turn on them. It feels good to have the pack's confidence in its leadership. My phone rings and it’s a number I don’t recognize.“Beta Charlie,” I answer.“Beta, this is Beta Franklin, Alpha Harold’s Beta.”“Yes, I know who you are. Is everything okay?”“Beta, we ha

HaroldWhen Franklin returned after attacking Brady’s pack, he let me know that Brady survived, but his pack has been nearly decimated. I sent scouts to watch his pack and make sure that he doesn’t leave. I doubt he will, but now that our pack is getting stronger, I can afford to send a couple of warriors to keep watch.Savannah was beside herself wanting to go back to her old pack to help, especially after hearing that Yara had been kidnapped by Simon. I told her what Beta Charlie said and she’d become even more distraught.“Bradley was shot? Even I wouldn’t know how to save him. Poor Noelle,” he said. Franklin had taken her to their room and tried to console her. I’d waited a few hours and called Beta Charlie.“Alpha Harold?” he answered, sounding exhausted.“I’m sorry, Beta. Did I wake you?”“It’s okay, Alpha Warren isn’t back yet, so I’m still running the pack.”“I wanted to update you on Brady and find out what happened with Alpha Quinton.”“Quinton turned himself in, basically ga

YaraI come awake slowly. My body is stiff and my arms are aching, like I’ve somehow managed to get tangled up in them while I was sleeping and they’re stuck behind my back. I try to move them out from under me, but I can’t. My head feels fuzzy and it hurts. What’s going on?‘Wake up, Yara,’ Annika says urgently‘I’m trying, Annika. What’s going…’“There she is. Finally,” an angry voice says nearby. My eyes flash open. I recognize that voice. I don’t, however, recognize my surroundings.‘Annika, where are we?’‘I don’t know. He knocked me out too.’A hand grabs my hair, pulling me into a sitting position roughly. My arms are tied behind my back and my legs are wrapped up tightly. My body is stiff and sore. I must have been like this for a while.“You just had to go and fuck him, didn’t you?” Simon snarls in my face.He looks crazed. His hair is shooting out in all directions like he’s been tugging on it so long that it doesn’t bother trying to go back into place again. His eyes are fur
