Suddenly, as if on cue, the flames that had been dancing beside me vanished into thin air, leaving me surrounded by eerie darkness before Torin could utter a single word, or before I could even move a muscle.

‘MATE!’ Zena's voice reverberates through my head, filled with a mix of surprise and excitement.

“Yes, but he is with my sister, so how is this going to work?’ I ask Zena.

My heart pounds with fear, sending adrenaline coursing through my veins, as I leap in surprise. The suddenness of the situation triggers a collective response from everyone around me, with some yelling, others screaming, and a few crying out in shock.

“Once again, Sable ruins everything,” a guy from the crowd says, making everyone laugh.

“Can we please relight the fire?” a girl asks as I turn away from the voices.

I feel a heavy burden from the weight of his words and the sound of their laughter, causing me to become tense and my eyes to well up with tears. The overwhelming sense of humiliation washes over me, making it difficult to bear.

Unable to bear the embarrassment any longer, I swiftly escape into the depths of the darkness, distancing myself from the party. It’s not like anyone will miss me, anyway.

“Sable wait!” I hear Adele yell at me as I run even faster.

How did the fire go out just like that because no one even touched it? And why do things keep happening around me?

As I dash through the dense forest, my tears flow uncontrollably down my face, creating a hazy veil over my sight. The exact length of my frantic escape remains unknown, but as I finally come to a stop, completely drained of energy.

Why can't I just enjoy one night without humiliation and have fun?

I cast my gaze around. I am met with a sight that is far from the usual familiar forest that has provided me solace and protection from both the torment of bullies and the challenges of my own mother.

Moreover, I have forever longed for the day when I would stumble upon my perfect match, a person who would shield me from harm and be my unwavering source of comfort.

The sight of a breathtaking waterfall leaves me in complete awe. The massive rocks surrounding it provide the perfect seating arrangement for me to relax and admire the cascading water.

What adds to the beauty is the crystal-clear water, allowing me to witness the graceful movements of the fish swimming and even catch a glimpse of the sandy bottom beneath.

This unexpected oasis is absolutely breathtaking, leaving me in awe of its sheer beauty. It feels like a gift from nature, providing solace and tranquility amidst the chaos in my life. However, it's puzzling because I've been running in this forest for as long as I can remember, and I've never stumbled upon this hidden gem before.

It feels as if I've stepped into an entirely new forest, where everything is unfamiliar and nothing smells or appears as it should. The trees and bushes that surround me are unlike any I've ever encountered before, adding to the sense of wonder and intrigue.

While I gently rub my tired eyes and blink a few times, I can't help but notice that I am far away from the comfort of my home. Confusion sets in as I try to comprehend my surroundings and wonder where exactly I have ended up.

The unfamiliar sights and sounds only add to my bewilderment, leaving me with a burning question: where on earth am I now?

A sudden deep voice startles me from behind, causing me to jump and let out a startled screech. “You possess an incredible talent for running. Your speed is truly remarkable,” the voice compliments me.

“You could navigate effortlessly without having to constantly look down, ensuring you didn't trip,” the man observes, impressed by my ability to maintain balance.

“From where did you come from?” I inquire, my voice tinged with anxiety.

I'm getting a little antsy because he just stands there by the tree, smiling at me without saying a word. It's like he's playing a game, keeping me on edge with his silence.

I curiously inquire, “May I know who you are?”

I was completely caught off guard by his sudden appearance, as I had no clue where he came from. It was as if he materialized out of thin air because I didn't even hear a single sound indicating his presence.

He managed to sneak up on me without making a single noise, leaving me bewildered and wondering how he managed to do it.

He has managed to catch me off guard in a way that no one else ever has.

“His power is absolutely mind-blowing,  Zena marvels, her voice tinged with awe.

“Absolutely, without a doubt, he is a powerful alpha,” I confidently express to Zena.
