A NEW PLAN 

My heart raced, pounding hard against my chest as I scooted closer to Alexander. The sound of marching feet receding deeper into the forest filled the entire area, signalling our arrival.

We were finally here.

"We do not engage until they've seen us," Alexander said quietly, his eyes glancing between Galiath and Damien. "We want to use our stealth to the best of our advantage." His eyes shifted to mine. "Understood?"

"Yeah," I said with a nervous nod as I took in a shaky breath. "We don't engage until they've seen us. Got it."

Alexander nodded before returning his eyes to the direction the rogues were headed. He lifted his right hand in the air and pointed in the direction of the rogues before moving out of the cover of the underbrush. Galiath and Damien followed suit and I continued on behind them.

Our figured blended well into the shadows and I was glad for once that the forest was shrouded in near darkness. We moved from bush to bush, our steps silent and calculated as we foll
