Malcolm’s POV

“You’ll come back, right?”

Her voice was soft, and was filled with so much trust that it nearly broke me. I knew it might be under. I had promised yet she was still asking me. I guess she's also scared and suspicious already.

I cupped her face, as my thumb traced her cheek. “Of course, I will,” I said, pressing one last lingering kiss to her lips.

I could feel her smile against my mouth, her hands tightened around my shirt as if she never wanted to let go. And neither did I.

I was going to miss her so much if we don't get to see each other again. I mean, my instinct never lied to me. Something was about to happen and I know it for a fact.

Even though she was hurting and didn't want me to go, she was still putting my interest first. She didn't want me to get caught and that's one of the reasons I love her so much. She is a typical example of a Luna. Unlike Lyra who is selfish and arrogant. I wonder why my father hadn't noticed her bad character yet. She didn't deserve to

THE BEGINNING OF THE ENDDavina’s POVIt was a new day in the pack, but something felt different. There was this happy energy in the pack, something almost electric. The usual quietness of the morning was replaced by joyous movements, excited whispers, and the shuffling of feet. I haven't seen such a happy moment in the pack before except during a full moon or if there’s succession. And Malcolm hadn't told me about any succession. So what was going on? What are they celebrating that I didn't know? Everywhere I looked, people were in motion, arranging, decorating, and preparing. For what? What is happening? I wanted to shout it but I wouldn't dare. Not in my miserable life. Long tables were positioned perfectly across the clearing, covered in white and lined with silver goblets, the plates were empty but waiting. It was obvious that food would be served. Some places were decorated with Blue and gold banners, it was the colors of our pack. The colors flapped from the trees, turn

THE GATHERING Davina’s POV“No… no, no, no.”The words repeated in my mind like a chant, like a prayer I desperately wanted the Moon Goddess to hear.I stood behind the clearing, hidden behind the trees, my entire body was trembling as my eyes took in the celebration before me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.Tears covered my eyes, I couldn't breathe, my Malcolm. My mate. Why is this happening to me? This was another heart whacking event for me since my father passed. This is not fair. Why can't anyone even have pity on me?The more I cried, the more people arrived, they didn't even care, everyone wanted to look their best. dressed in their finest. Women wore elegant gowns, with their hair woven with silver threads. Men wore dark tunics embroidered with the pack’s crest, their expressions were serious but joyful. Warriors stood on guard, with their hands resting on the hilts of their swords, standing in absolute silence. This wasn’t just about the succession, it was a d

THE BETRAYAL BEGINS Davina’s pov“Why didn’t you tell me,Malcolm? Why did you have to hurt me like this?”The words echoed in my mind, over and over, as hot tears streamed down my face.I stood there, hidden behind the tall trees bordering the clearing, my body was trembling, and my heart was smashing more with every second that passed. My fingers kept digging into my arms as I tried to hold myself together to stop me from breaking apart completely. Why didn’t you tell me? Why did you deceive me? Why did you lie to me? Why? I swallowed the sob in my throat, my eyes were filled with tears as I watched the pack move in celebration, joy, and happiness. This celebration should have been the happiest in my life. But instead, I stood there, looking dumb, forgotten, discarded, and betrayed.I should have known. I should have known that this wouldn't work, that I was just dreaming. An omega? A Luna? What was I even thinking? I should have known that nothing good was ever meant for

THE ALPHA’s CORONATIONDavina’s POV “This is really happening.” I stood there, rooted to the spot, unable to tear my eyes away as Malcolm finished his speech. My hands trembled at my sides, my heart was a wild drumbeat in my chest. “Why, Malcolm? Why did you tell me? I have loved you right. But you deceived me, lied to me and acted like you wanted me.”The words repeated in my head, like a cruel chant that wouldn’t stop. “Why? Why?” The crowd was still clapping, and still celebrating, as the elders stepped onto the stage. They moved with solemn classiness, their long robes brushed against the wooden platform. With his head high and proud. One of them held a small silver bowl filled with a thick, golden oil. Another carried a ceremonial dagger, its blade glinting under the moonlight. I had seen this ritual before. It was the official passing of power. The moment Malcolm would no longer just be the Alpha’s son.No.From this moment on, he would be Alpha Malcolm Blackwood. “And

A Silent PleaDavina’s POV “Malcolm.”His name slipped past my heart before I could stop it. He was mine, my mate. I know and can see the obvious. I was here, looking like a maid while Lyra was there, looking so beautiful and like Luna. He’d choose but I still didn't want to believe that. We are mates. My heart was calling him… pleading for him to see me, tell me that what I was seeing wasn't what was happening. And for the first time since this ceremony, he heard it, he heard my call. I knew he did.Because the moment our eyes locked, the proud, confident smile he had been wearing, the one meant for the crowd, for his father, for his people faltered. It wasn’t immediate. It didn’t shatter all at once. But I saw the hesitation. The way his lips parted slightly, the way his chest rose and fell just a little too fast.He sees me. We were staring at each other. He sees what he’s done. He saw the pain in my eyes, he heard how fast my heartbeat was beating. He saw how I pleaded with him w

The Ultimate BetrayalDavina’s POV “Let all fall silent!”The elder’s voice cut through the celebration, sounding loud and commanding. The moment those words were spoken, everything stopped. Everyone stopped talking and refocused. The cheers, the music, the idle conversations were all gone in an instant. It was time for the next action. The moment I have been waiting for.I began to sweat, my heart was rising and falling steadily against my chest. I was nervous. I bet it wasn't just me, everyone was flashing their eyes in anticipation.Because this was it. The moment we all have been waiting for.The moment every she-wolf dreamed of.The moment the future Alpha would announce his mate and his Luna. And I knew, deep in my bones, that it wouldn't be me but it should be me.I was his mate. Shattered TrustDavina’s POVThe image of them together burned into my mind like a cruel, and unforgiving brand.Malcolm and Lyra standing side by side, their bodies were touching and holding hands. It was supposed to be me.And to make matters worse, His lips moved close to her ears, and he whispered something in her ear, making her smile.I couldn’t breathe. The weight of my own betrayal pressed down on me so hard it felt like I would collapse right there, in front of everyone. My chest continued to tightened, and a strangled sob clawed its way out of my throat before I could stop it.I saw a few heads turn, and their eyes flashed in my direction. Some of them sneered, while others were indifferent. But Malcolm… my Malcolm didn’t even look at me. I was dying and he didn't even care. Did he hate me so much? Malcolm’s Apology Malcolm’s POV I could still hear the cheers echoing behind me. The celebration was in full swing, laughter, and music were heard, but I wasn’t there. I couldn’t be. Not when she had run. Not when she was out there, hurting. Hurting because of me. I had been looking for a way to go see her since she ran out of the event. I knew my actions would hurt her so much. I was literally the only one she had in our pack. I understand her. With the little distraction I got, I decided to go look for her. At least make sure she's alright and probably explain things to her. I shoved past the pack members congratulating me, ignoring the hands that reached out to pat my shoulder, and the people calling my name. I didn’t care about any of it. I only cared about her. “Damn it, Davina.” I hope she forgives me. My legs burned as I ran, and my chest was tight with emotion and exhaustion. Strength is Earned Eris’s POV Davina was struggling. It wasn’t obvious to most, but I saw it. I could clearly see through her no matter how hard she tried to cover it up. The way she moved through the packhouse, barely making a sound. The way she darted her eyes around, like she expected a blow at any moment or even scared. The way she stiffened when someone spoke to her, like she was waiting, always waiting for cruelty. Sometimes she spends her days or even weeks indoors and shivers when someone comes around. She kept her distance. Not just from me, but from everyone. And I let her for a while. I wanted her to have her space. She needed time. A chance to adjust, to heal. But hiding wasn’t healing. Avoiding people wasn’t learning how to stand on her own. And I couldn’t watch her wither away in that room any longer. She is part of us now and it’s high time she starts becoming one. So, I made a decision. She needed to see what strength looked like, She needed to see that it wasn’t

The Struggle BeginsEris’s POVI had seen warriors break before. I had seen their struggles and weaknesses but Davina is one of the most determined I had ever seen.I had watched men, twice Davina’s size, crumble under the pressure of training. But there was something different about her. She wasn't strong in the body, but she was strong in the mind. And that helped her not to break. It helped her to struggle to stand anytime she went down. As I kept watching her, I felt so much joy and happiness despite the fact that she barely had a chance. And I watched every moment of her fall.At first, I let Nadia handle her. Davina was stiff, clumsy, and painfully slow. Every move she made was predictable, and every time she tried to attack, Nadia countered it effortlessly.I leaned against a tree, with my arms crossed, silently observing as Nadia knocked Davina to the ground again. Over and over again. I am not one to show emotions but I felt really sorry for her.Davina gasped for breath, dir

A Promise to Myself Davina’s POV I was still standing in the same position on the left, still watching. The training grounds were filled with cries, groans, and strength. I admired them a lot but I couldn't do it. Alpha Eris had left me alone after inviting me here, giving me space to decide for myself. I appreciated that. But now, as I watched the warriors spar, I wasn’t sure if this was something I could handle. I hated how weak I was, I hated how fear still had its claws deep in me. But training like this? My eyes followed a particularly brutal match between two warriors, both were young men, their bodies were covered in sweat, and they had serious faces on. They moved with speed and precision, their fists slammed into each other, bones cracked, and growls tore through the atmosphere. And when one of them finally hit the ground, gasping for breath, the other didn’t stop. I guess there was no mercy and hesitation here. The downed warrior barely had time to roll before anothe

Davina’s POVThey didn’t think I belonged here. They don't like me here.I heard them before I saw them, their voices were slithering through the cracks of the wooden door as I sat curled up on the bed. I hadn't done anything wrong for them to even dislike me. I barely go out. So why the hate? It's okay to be suspicious but the hate was too extreme. How do I get comfortable around here? How do I feel safe when most of the pack members don't even like me?“She’s still here?” a woman whispered, her voice sounded sharp with irritation. It was so obvious in her voice.A low scoff followed. “Of course she is. Our Alpha’s little pet.”“I wonder what Alpha sees in her.”My stomach twisted. I leaned forward, straining my ears to hear more.“She’s weak,” another voice chimed in. “Barely speaks. I don’t get what Alpha Eris sees in her. We have beautiful and strong females in this pack that fits the position of Luna. I don't know why he doesn't see us.”I was beyond shocked. Alpha Eris doesn't e

  • The Omega’s Rise   Chapter 39

Eris’ POV She Was Still Afraid of Me. I could see it in the way she tensed whenever I entered the room. The way her eyes darted to the door, like she was measuring the distance, calculating how fast she could run if she needed to. She hadn’t run yet either had she tried to push me off. That was definitely something. But it wasn't satisfying to me. I had hoped that she’d be free with me. Allow me to care for her. “Brought you something,” I said, holding up a tray. After her last nightmare, I had leveled up the amount of care and love I'd shown her. Davina barely glanced at it before curling her knees to her chest. She was perched on the edge of the bed, looking smaller than ever, she wrapped her thin arms around herself like she was trying to disappear. Or as if that would protect her. I sighed, setting the tray on the small table near the window. “You need to eat. You're not looking healthy enough to me.” However, she gave me the same cold response. No response at all. It

  • The Omega’s Rise   Chapter 38

Davina’s POV “Davina!” A voice pulled me from sleep. It sounded deep and familiar. I stirred, and my body tense before my mind even caught up. As I opened my eyes, the room was a bit dark, but it was already morning. I could hear some voices outside my room. The early morning sun barely crept through the small window. “Who might be calling my name? Hope I haven't done anything wrong?” I thought to myself. Then I heard it again. “Davina.” I turned my head slowly. Alpha Eris stood near the door, watching me carefully. He looked… relaxed. His pose was casual, his arms were crossed over his chest, and his lips curved into amusement. Which made me wonder why he was amused. It was strange. I had only ever seen Alphas look at me with disgust, anger, or worse…indifference. Never this. I swallowed, and gripped the blanket tighter. Maybe it was another cruel way. “Finally awake,” he said, strolling closer to me. While still keeping his gaze on me. “You sleep like you were in a coma. H

The Burden of the PastDavina’s POVI followed the woman without any complaints or hesitation. I didn't know where they were taking me until we got to a room.“Here’s your room. Where you’d be staying from now.” the woman gestured towards the room smiling. I flashed her a smile that didn't reach my eyes.“Do you like it?” I haven't seen the inside and there’s no way I would tell her no. So, I nodded without looking at her. Then, she smiled again and took my hands and we walked inside. The room they gave me was small but warm. It had a wooden bed that sat against the far wall, it was covered in thick furs.I saw a small table with a single chair resting in the corner, and a basin of water had been left for me to wash. The scent of burning firewood drifted in from a crack beneath the door, and somewhere outside, I could hear the muffled sounds of voices. pack members were talking, and going about their lives, it seemed that they didn't care about the stranger that came into their pack.

Davina’s POVA Stranger in His PackI didn't know I could work this far again because of the amount of pain I was going through. My whole body was on fire. I didn’t know how long we had been walking, but the moment we stepped out of the thick forest and onto an open dirt road, I felt the change in atmosphere.I felt something different in my body. I became scared. I didn't know why I was feeling this way. I was uncomfortable and really scared. And when I looked at the Alpha, in his eyes, it was like he was home. Is this his home? I thought to myself.I looked around to see if I could notice anything unusual or familiar. It was then I saw at the far mountain houses and rooftops. I guess it was his pack and the reason I was feeling uneasy. I am in another territory. From where we were standing, I could tell that It was nothing like the Lumen Pack’s territory. The buildings were simple but sturdy, made of dark stone and wood, their roofs thatched with dried straw. Smoke curled lazily fro
