“Don’t tell me anything else but good news and don’t even think of returning to this pack until Brad has been caught. Do you all hear me?!”

They saluted with a shout as I waved them away, falling into my chair.

“Where are you hiding Brad?” I growled. “Come out and play.”

He was not going to escape my sight. I would find him and kill him off for what he had done to me. My face was a testament of his cruelty.

It reminded me everyday of my mission. Why I had gone back to the pack and why I wanted him dead, it reminded me.

Daily I had faced him with my anger rising. I had been in so many scenarios where I could have ended his life but I kept myself from doing so.

I told myself that I wasn’t going to risk the children’s safety for my selfish mission.

I even had second thoughts about killing him seeing as if I killed him off, the pack would be left without a leader. But for him to run away without taking his people with him was a selfish move.
