Betrayed again

I punched the gate with the chain around my hand acting as a cushion. It didn’t budge so I resorted to using my brute strength to tear open the chain but it didn’t work.

By this time, the water had gone up to my ankle which had me struggling against the gate with all my strength. I had to break open this or we would drown.

“Conan!” I yelled out to the man who had already passed out. His hands were laid out by his side like he was dead. “Conan don’t you dare die on me!”

But there was no answer from him.

I looked ahead to see that the water from the tap had increased its intensity, pouring out and even cracking the walls around it.

“Shoot, it’s gonna blow,” I muttered just before it exploded from the wall, letting out a blast of water.

We were going to die here, I thought, which gave me enough strength to zip to the walls, punching the tiles out. It hurt my hand and I bled out but I didn’t care. If I let those crazy people walk to the pack, they would take custody of my children an
