As soon as Julia mindlinked me that Victor had woken up, I gently placed Ethan on his bed for him to continue playing and we both ran out of the house, making sure to lock the door properly, before heading to the hospital.
My heart palpitated, scared that it wouldn't be true. I didn't know why I thought so, but that fear came upon me, weakening me.
