It was night already and Lyne lay on her bed sulking and sobbing softly. Her room gave off a feminine impression with the red and pink fabrics covering everywhere. Cosmetics and deodorants fill the dresser and a rack of beautiful dresses lay on a brown wooden rod placed above on the other side of the room. Candles surround everywhere giving the room a beautiful scent.
On her bed, a big pink net covered the bed, leaving only a slight space open at the front. It made it look like she was under a tent.
With her knees under her chin, she cried hard. She knew she would be a second choice yet again and she wasn't ready to dive into it again.
"Lyne?" She heard a deep but warm voice call. It was calming and assuring. She didn't get out of her bed. She didn't want to see his face for fear that she might forgive him instantly. His face was too good-looking.
She sniffled.
"Are you okay?" She heard him call again. After a minute of silence, he spoke up.
"I was wondering if we could talk before the wedding and get to know each other better. If that's okay with you, of course."
"Go away," her voice was shaky and it gave her off that she had been crying.
"Are you crying?" She flinched as she heard footsteps come closer to her bed. The net was further pulled apart as Zeidan looked through it at her red puffed face.
"Oh shit!" He exclaimed as he sat on the edge touching her chin with care and rubbing her cheek with his thumbs.
Lyne cried more with mixed feelings. She has never been treated with this much care but she can't possibly lose her guard.
Zeidan frowned as he took time to access her face red from crying, her lips, and soft neck. He rubbed his hands on them slightly and felt her shiver.
"You're beautiful." He moved in on her bed and kissed her briefly on the lips. He turned to go but was surprised when she pulled him back with his shirt, grabbed his face in her hands, and kissed him fully.
Smiling, he returned her kiss with the same energy and made sure he was careful. He could feel a tingling sensation deep within his stomach and he knew this was it. He decided to take control as he felt she was young and inexperienced but was wrong when Lyne began to open his shirt and rubbed his chest with her soft hands. He felt a cold shiver run down his spine and he moaned softly.
In return, he removed her clothing gently until she was only in her underwear made of tiny linen. He could see her hardened nipple through the tiny fabric and this got him aroused instantly. His heart was pounding as he grabbed her waist, pulled her to him, and kissed her on the mouth, neck, and moderate mound on her chest. Not forgetting to run his hands on her thighs, and stomach before landing on one of her breasts and fondling it.
He felt his blood boil in excitement and something inside him couldn't wait. It's like it had waited for this moment and soon he heard her moan and gasped at the same time. His eyes itched and his gums were throbbing hard.
Lyne couldn't help but give in freely. He was good with both hands and mouth. Although the only time she felt this was when she had touched herself while crushing on Azrael, she didn't want it to stop as well.
She also did a good job by making sure her hands traveled to the places that were most sensitive and places she's been longing to touch from the first time they met.
His shoulder, his neck, his hair that was so soft, his abs, and she did not forget to kiss them too. Immediately, he began to fondle her breast with his hand playing with her core, she closed her eyes to savor the moment.
She felt like she was flying high with new energy. While keeping her eyes closed, she saw something big walking out of the dark towards her. It was white and beautiful but so daring. It snorted and howled. It was a white wolf. As soon as it finished howling it moved to jump on her but she opened her eyes instantly, only to meet with more scaring that caused her to scream.
Zeidan's beautiful eyes have turned black now with two sharp fangs gorging out his mouth.
She scrambled about the bed trying to escape but she realized she had been pinned against the wall.
"Go away!" She screamed and didn't stop until he stood up and walked out of the room.
How could she be so stupid? She could have been killed. But then, what's the point, she'll be married to this monster soon. She should go by what he said earlier when he came into their room.
They need to know each other better.
She rose from her bed, wearing her clothes back and going out in search of Zeidan, still shaken. After going into his room and meeting it empty, she looked at the table clock that stated the time was 11:05 pm. She moved to check the balcony.
There she saw him on the lawn, head bent and he looked like he was thinking. He was sitting on the grass. He was now wearing a new shirt. How did he get in and out of his room so fast?
"I know it's going to be a while before you get used to it." He said, without turning.
She sucked in her breath. How will they ever be compatible when she as a pure human will have to see his monster side often and still keep in mind that she is married to him? Would Luana react this same way if she was the one? She thought.
"I think it's time you stop worrying about her. I'm not even married to her yet."
Telepathy. Cool. She thought.
"What else can you do?" She asked rather to herself, as she took a seat beside him.
Zeidan chuckled at the woman beside him and shook his head.
"Whatever it is you're feeling towards me, I hope it isn't fear because I have no reason to hurt you." With that, he stood up and turned to go inside.
Lyne kept looking towards the sky, her future undecided and unknown. She remembered the white wolf and wondered who that was. It couldn't be her mother, she was pure human. Since her dreams do come true, she'll have to sit back and wait for the white wolf to walk through her door.
It is almost morning and Luana stands at the gate that guards the vampire city. She was now wearing her fighting gear of black pants, boot heels, and a brown leather jacket. Her hair was worn up.Before her, several men stood with glowing cat eyes and fangs out. Their faces have the tribal identification Werecats are known with, stripes. She grabbed two long swords from her back, one on each hand, and swirled them."Let's say we strike a deal, cats. You get outta here and I'll spare your lives or we do this the hard way." Her mouth twitched and her eyes were expressionless giving out an air of confidence."The only deal we shall strike, Luana," she heard a voice call out from behind the men and her face looked frightened. He walked up to her front and tilted his hat like a cowboy. "Is about the treasure.""Shelbrooke?" Her voice was shaky as she saw the man with a deep-cut scar running diagonally across his face."Long time no see, my Lady." He smirked. "I've waited this day for a lon
Lyne looked up at Zeidan. She wasn't ready for the marriage yet as she hasn't fully prepared. Looking at her father with a plea in her eyes, she was shocked to hear him say so at such short notice.Styx raised a brow. "I was not aware you would be interested this much. You must want her badly."A flush colored Lyne's face, but then it occurred to her that all the wedding arrangements only fall on one reason, to get an army. "I don't even know how to prepare for this. I'm worried sick about this. How do I tell my people?" "You need not worry about a huge ceremony. I'll ensure I give her the best celebration once we get to Vampire city. What matters is I fulfill my part of the agreement." He gave her hand a slight squeeze. "My city is in trouble. Please, let me marry her tonight.""You have my consent." She could hear her siblings mumble behind her. Part of her was jumping in excitement as she would now be free from their teases and bullying. Zeidan observed her from the corner of his
The moon descended in its glorious form, and all other sky objects were beclouded. The jungle roared only with the melodious beats that follows the rhythm of Lyne's heart as she stared at herself in the mirror in the room where she sits to dress up.Outside on the lawn, the wedding ceremony is going on. By the right-hand side close to the palace, the royal siblings all sit in their beautiful clothing while their father sits on the throne, his face holding a sly smile like a fox that has just caught its prey.On the other side, some guards stood there, watching the whole activity. Beside them, the drummers sat. In the front of the palace itself, there is an entrance temporarily made, covered by a thick golden curtain that indicates where the bride will come in. While a red carpet of six feet length is spread in front of the entrance, Zeidan stands at the other end, expecting his bride. Beside him Akeila stands, holding a scroll in hand."We welcome you all to this glorious..." Akeila s
A sigh escaped Zeidan's lips as he stepped backward. His hand bled as he held the knife hardly by the tip and looked down at his new bride who looked ignorant of everything going on.Poor Lyne. He thought.Everyone has stopped walking around."What was that for?""What was what for? You kissed me." Lyne thought he was talking to her since his eyes are still locked with hers."I wonder how much freaky magic you can do." Charles' voice made Lyne turn towards him. "So many powers but you can't even fight your people."Lyne looked at Zeidan and her face caught blood dripping down his hands as he held it. That was when it dawned on her that Charles had thrown it at them while they were kissing. She covered her mouth in shock, tears rolling down her cheeks for two reasons. He just risked his life to save hers and he looked like he cared for her."You even had to settle for less all because you need an army to fight your little war. How cheap of you." Everyone including the Alpha is quiet,
Luana's eyes shot open as she rose from the bed sharply, hands clutched to her chest. Her breathing was ragged. Checking the skies, she realized it was morning already. The sun wearing a full robe as it lazily sucks up the wetness of the ground.Rolling out of the bed, she parted the curtains in her room, allowing the reflection of the sun inside. She sighed before going to take her bath and get ready for the day.As she moved to take her bath, she passed by a long mirror and stopped to check herself."Wow," she smiled satisfactorily at her reflection as if she has just won a medal."I can't wait for Zeidan to come and place a crown on my head."Puffing her chest and straightening her back, she gave a fake wave and acted like a Queen."My Lady." She heard someone call but she ignored it and continued what she was doing."My Lady, we need your attention."More silence. Chloe was beginning to get uncomfortable as she watched Luana display in front of the mirror ignoring her calls."We n
"What's the problem now, Gorge?" Shelbrooke called out as he sat down in his office, cleaning his knife with a piece of cloth.Gorge walked in hesitatingly."We have about four hundred and eighty soldiers right now."Silence enveloped the room, same as the stench of cigarettes and coffee. Gorge cleared his throat and continued."Four hundred and eighty-foot soldiers, two hundred archers, and twenty warriors.""And your strategy?" Shelbrooke blew air on the knife now sparkling clean."We...um...our strategy...""Speak up!" His voice startled Gorge, causing him to jump."You have a problem with English now? You speak French now?" "No, your highness. Our strategy is in place. Our foot soldiers are taking over the whole entrance of the city and around the walls. Our archers will be on mountains and warriors will go in to take the Onyx...""Our father's heritage," Shelbrooke muttered, licking his lips. "With the Onyx, not only will our technology improve, our lives will also improve. We'
Luana felt something sharp and heavy hit her hand. She lost balance and the sword fell from her hand causing her to crouch to waist level. The whole recruits murmured while some laughed inwardly.Although she knew no one among the kids could dare throw the rock at her, she also noticed the stone had come from an angle behind her. Looking back, she wasn't wrong and her heart skipped a beat. The sound of rushing feet and horseshoes hit her eardrums but none was eye-catching as the beautiful woman that Zeidan carried on his horse. She didn't think twice before knowing that was the girl they both planned to use. But something was off. This wasn't the description he had given or heard about the rejected Princess of the Alpha Styx.Screaming as she rode on the horse, with the wind blowing her golden hair, Lyne held a couple of stones, one of which she threw at her. What a nice shot. Luana thought. But Zeidan should be paying attention to her. When their horse reached where she stood in fron
As the evening sun set, Zeidan led his horse around one tree, then another, and into the clearing that spread out."Now we're there." "And where exactly, is this place?" Lyne asked softly."It's an old destroyed building of course." He slipped off his horse and wrapping his arms around Lyne's waist, helped her down. He tied the horse's reins to a tree. The huge red brick structure glowed under the orange, tiring evening sun. Having part of it break down with a domed roof supported by what pillar was left of the building. It rested on a base three feet high like a half-eaten cake with red-colored sugar frosting on a plate."That I can see." Lyne followed behind him, her hand in his. "How stupid of me not to have known. My past life is practically just like this building. How can I not relate to this?""You do need to forget about that." Zeidan squeezed her hand passionately. "You are with me now.""Will it make it better?" "Of course, it will." She still has that question lurking in
Sometimes when one thinks of the past, moving forward to the future seems hard for them. Every night, Dad would always come to tell me tales of how they fought with a magical stone called the Onyx. He said it was what brought us together as clans all over the lands, excluding the Werecats. The breeze blew my light brown hair which was slowly bleaching into blonde like my mom's as I kept writing my journal. Although I still haven't believed there was any such thing as magic, I still needed to find out. I jumped down the fence, in my leather top and jacket with boots, my two long swords clasped to my back as I walked back to the training field. I looked at the people fighting and some bowing to me. With pride and elegance, I swerved my hips past the boys, while my four friends followed from each side. Tracy, Eretria, Romena, and Sasha. Two of them were hot blonde chicks in their mid-twenties, while the other two were brunettes. We are the Angel Squad and we rule the United Clan Train
"What's wrong, Lyne?" Zeidan asked looking up at her. She now had strange eyes and he wondered if she still recognizes him. Lyne opened her hand and he could see the Onyx on her palm, green and glowing. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was Lyne's nose bleeding and her eyes returning to normal. His hands quivered and loosened around Luana which made her grab the opportunity and kicked him in the stomach while he tended to it, she kicked him in the face turned, and stabbed his stomach with a knife.Awareness dawned on him as the object sank into him. He looked at Luana with shock and his eyes were getting blurry."You had every chance to be happy with me. But you ruined it all." Luana said and further twisted the knife inside of him, making him scream out.Lyne still lay on the floor, bleeding from her nose. He gasped and was finally released so that he could sit on the floor, weak and helpless. He raised his arm but no help came. "Die, Zeidan. Goodbye." Luana left him with Sh
Lyne looked at Luana, a smile curving her lips as she resolved to fight with all her might no matter how good she may be at magic. Or using the Onyx, but she sure is good with her claws. She stretched her fingers, eyes intent on Luana whose black eyes were also fixed on her. As they both snarled at each other, they also did the same with the charge and attack. Lyne swooshed her claws at Luana's face which she moved slightly backward to avoid and in turn twirled on her heels and hit her stomach with her knee. She bent and held on to her stomach as she felt the sharpness but only for a while before she was back on her feet. Luana threw a punch from the left to the right side which she dodged and grabbed her wrist, then right to the left and she grabbed the second wrist too, then holding both wrists captive, Lyne hit her forehead with hers, not minding the resounding bang she felt. Luana cried out and she released her so she could nurse her bleeding forehead. "You bastard!" Luana swo
With blazing eyes and a torn-apart soul, Lyne glared at Luana and the stone in her hand. "You know, if I were you, as a mother who has empathy for her daughter," Luana began to say as she walked in circles around Lyne. "I'd dive into that water and save my baby." Lyne looked back at her daughter who was still afloat, her tiny arms unable to hold her on the surface for long. "You may have won this time but not next time," Lyne hissed, looking into Luana's eyeball. "And that next time is soon."With that, she jumped into the water and swam her way to her daughter, arms and legs fluttering the strong current. She grabbed her daughter by the waist and held her tight to her body, swimming back to the shore. She climbed back to the surface and bent to check her daughter who sat on the floor, weak. "My baby." She muttered, hands running over Aurora's face and body. "Are you okay?" Aurora breathed heavily. Lyne felt guilty. She was the reason her daughter passed through all these. If she
Shelbrooke was too engrossed in staring at Lyne that he was unaware when Zeidan turned and grabbed his ankle making him fall. As Reyns moved to attack him, Zeidan grabbed his spear on the floor and pointed it at Reyns who chuckled and drew out his long swords."I'm sorry that you got played not once but twice, Zeidan. However, we can't blame you but the bitch that always thought she saw the good in you." Reyns said as they turned to the center of the field, each of them stretching their weapons at the other."I didn't ask her to find the good in me. I was already good to myself." Zeidan replied, his eyes not leaving Reyns and his swords."Then, it's obvious, you had her under your magical spell. Once we have the Onyx, I'll have the power to break that stupid spell you placed on her." Zeidan huffed. "Admit it. You like her and you're just afraid that she'll reject you if you let your true intention known." The other man held on tightly to his swords now stepping forward. "That's neve
Amber and Effinton stood gallant in front of Lyne and Zeidan, already in their fighting wear. Amber was placed as leader of the archery team since Chloe had died. She was also as good as the former leader, which makes it a win-win situation. Effinton also wore his black leather suit and pants with his boot heels. They all stood at the council table, all focused on the map before them."We need to come up with a better strategy than before. A unique one that will disassemble pure enemies before they even get closer to the field that separates Vampire city from the rest of the clans." Effinton spoke up and Zeidan nodded."You're right. But what do we come up with? We have exhausted the rest of our strategies on past wars." Zeidan replied but Lyne was seeing a different thing."Maybe we don't need a new strategy but ones we have used before and can put together to fight. They won't know what hits them by the time we strike.""I think the Queen is right," Amber spoke up, pointing to a sm
Shelbrooke moved forward, his steps cautious. The rest of the team geared up, some of them suddenly shifting. Luana let out her claws and Lyne snarled at them, her strong sharp teeth revealed. "I must say I'm quite amassed by your bravery and confidence. I mean, you even managed to come into his den." Luana said, walking behind Shelbrooke, her eyes turning black."Don't tell me you're thinking about lifting a finger because I won't hesitate to draw life out of you." Lyne threatened, gritting her teeth. Shelbrooke roared, his voice booming in the cave."You lose girl." He snorted and rushed towards her. Lyne jumped up and landed behind them, turning sharply when she heard Shelbrooke order the others. "Let her be guys. I know how to handle her." She snarled at him, eyes catching her father's body from the corner of her eyes. "Bring it on." Shelbrooke hopped on her but she turned sharply and hit him head-on, her teeth sinking into his neck. A painful cat cry pierced the cave and he
Lyne received the letter from Amber, tore off the pin that held them together, and read it. When she was done, she looked back at Zeidan who stood behind her. His men were busy clearing the palace but when he saw the look in her eyes, he ordered for the both of them to be left alone. When they had gone, Zeidan moved close to her."What does it say?" He asked and she raised her blue gaze at him."They want me to come to South Park."He frowned. Yes, news reached them about Lyne's arrival but why would they need her to come to visit them? He had thought Styx would come to visit her. Perhaps, he didn't try to because he doesn't care any longer or he thought it was fake news."Why?""It says here that they want me to become the Alpha.""For South Park?"Lyne nodded but she still has worry written all over her face. She should be happy about it."This is unusual. Charles wasn't supposed to like this. He had been clamoring for that position for as long as I can remember. He should get it a
Maya exhaled audibly as she stared at the body of the man she had just finished killing. Before her, bodies lay on the floor and she could see Shelbrooke and Reyns looking at her in admiration. "I have a request to make, however," Shelbrooke said and she glanced at him."What request?" She asked still shaken from the fight. This was weird. She never gets weak, no matter how many people she kills, but then it dawned on her. Her time is up. "Remove your cover," Shelbrooke said."What?" Maya exclaimed."We need to see your face." Reyns chipped in and she felt all their gazes on her at once. What was the point? She had been hiding her face for a long while and her time is almost up. She touched the edge of the fabric, looking up at Shelbrooke. Images of what had happened the other day came rushing back. The grounds shook and it was daytime already. No one could go to the surface to survive the blast as the sun was up. Going to the surface at that time would only cause their death, fast
