Pulling her short hair up into a bun, Lyne stared back at her reflection in the mirror. She was a twenty-three years old mother of one with golden hair, blue eyes, and a curvy body. She moved sideways to check her butts and she chuckled at her silliness of checking how she had grown those past years.

Memories of how she had given birth to Aurora came rushing through her mind and she smiled. She had been scared at first as the pain came. She began to panic and at some point, she felt she was going to die or worse lose her baby because she is unaware of what to do exactly.

Lyne rubbed her stomach and flashed back to the hospital. Holding the little human covered in red and the cutest thing she had ever seen. She was overwhelmed with joy and excitement and for that moment, she forgot all her pains and sorrow. The fact that she had endured a lot was washed down the drain as she held her newborn baby. Kissing her forehead as she cried, her tiny hands folded tightly. When Dan and Marianne

After numerous outbursts that served as evidence of reaching a climax between the couples, Zeidan finally rolled back to his bed, kissing Lyne who hasn't had enough of him but they needed to rest as this was the third time. "Oh my god! I haven't felt this way since I left."Lyne turned to look at him as he confessed, raising a brow."What about Luana?""Luana?" He laughed. "Really? Having sex with Luana was more of like consolation and I hardly feel what I'm doing. I mean, I can count how many times we have been intimate. Like," he looked up in a bid to remember. "Five? Six?""But you enjoyed each moment."Zeidan looked at her from the corner of his eyes."You want me to mention how it all went? The first one, I happened to be drunk, so I don't know how it all went. The second one was in the chamber room. The third one was in the Kitchen...""Huh huh huh huh!" Lyne covered her ears. "Say no more! Say no more!""You...you wanted to hear." He stayed meekly but Lyne knew he wasn't at al

The smoke that puffed out of his mouth cleared and his face was visible behind the stick of cigarette he had in his mouth. He removed his hat and placed it on his office table, sitting up to look at the boy they brought in. He had light brown hair and took his father's green eyes. How Zeidan had been stupid enough to believe this was his child still amused him. Luana stood behind him, arms folded and Reyns sat down on a chair across the room, ruminating on what to do."We must let him suffer." Reyns blurted out after a moment of silence."This is stupid." Shelbrooke spat, crushing the cigarette and dumping it in the ashtray. "Why?" Luana asked."Why didn't you kidnap Lyne's daughter instead of him?" He asked, looking from his man to Luana who rolled her eyes."Lyne.""Yes, Lyne." Reyns chipped in."She is one hell of a trouble and I'm not ready to fall into one of her...""To hell with you both!" Shelbrooke thundered, standing up from his chair."To hell with you and your lackadaisic

The window clicked shut as Lyne sat crunched on the bed against its frame, tucked in the bedsheets. The smell of freshly cooked meal lay on the table before her but she just lost interest in eating anything. Zeidan sighed and came to sit beside her."I think I now know why Gabe was missing," Zeidan muttered and she looked at him."Why?" Lyne asked as she brushed a strand of hair from her face. "I don't think there are other reasons apart from kidnapping Gabe to hurt you. Or that we have several other spies in the palace that needs to be fished out.""But you heard him. He said I'm not the Father of Gabe. That means, if they know that someone was after their son's life, they would surely come to take him themselves for safety. Dean must have threatened to kill their son and they came to take him.""If that is so, then someone must have helped them to kidnap or take Gabe to them, right?""Right." He sobered, sitting up. "The perpetrator is still in the palace. The person must be fished

Lyne held the silver blade with golden head tightly as she walked on the green fields. Zeidan had come to her that morning, telling her he had something to show her."Hey. I have something for you." He winked. She had risen from the bed, immediately going to wear her robe but he stopped her."You can...you can change. I'll have Amber bring you some clothes for the gift. It's a surprise that I pray Amber doesn't reveal it to you. That girl is such a chatterbox.""She is over a hundred years old and not a girl," Lyne told him casually and he looked at her wide-eyed."She told you that?""So much a secret for someone who is a chatterbox." She turned to go to the washroom but not missing his last reply."Don't tell her I said so, okay?"She laughed and took her bath quickly. On getting back to the bedroom, she could see silver and black leather jacket, black pants, black belts with a golden head of a Wolf head design, then a pair of black pumps stood erect by the foot of the bed. She til

Lyne swallowed as she looked at Gabe who stood before her, looking all innocent. She bent in front of him and ran a hand through his light brown hair. He was cute and didn't deserve to be caught in the web of his mom's sins. Zeidan stood close to the entrance, looking down at her as she did her thing. "Gabe?" "Mama." He cooed and she smiled curtly, straightening and getting ready to go into his head. She closed her eyes and felt his body temperature which was comfortably warm. She felt his vein and artery ripple as they transport blood and her heartbeat began to sync with his. Her breathing changed and became heavy as she settled her thoughts on the atmosphere plus Gabe's head. Lyne could see shapes before her eyes and slowly her hands began to feel more of his body. His blood rushed and she could hear the movement as clear as crystal. Except something interrupted her work. Her hands were burning and the shapes cleared from her vision. Her brows furrowed not knowing what was goin

Lyne did very well by telling Zeidan she was going to the square when in truth she had planned to go to the temple. She didn't want him getting worried and all worked up by the time she would tell him. She needed to do these things on her own. The temple was still the same except more of it have been torn down and it made her wonder if the whole building wouldn't collapse one day. The rocks crushed beneath her heels as she walked into the temple, her heart beating hard. She placed a hand on her sword and walked into the dark place. If she would still be there, she doubted it, but she could give it a shot. As she stepped out onto the altar, she glanced at the broken walls and windows, an effect of the several fights that had ensued in the place. The picture that had that blood stain that she saw some years back was now broken, with parts of the sheep's face missing. She moved closer to it and ran her hands over it."Let's say you're here to kill me, I'll take that act as a farewell t

Zeidan stood in the garden with Aurora and Gabe, his men stood afar, gallant and alert. He held up two flowers and they giggled over him. He loved these kids wholeheartedly. "Daddy, see." Gabe pointed at a butterfly hovering above which he caught in his hand.He opened up his palm and the butterfly spread its yellow dotted wings, fluttering it and it made the kids laugh. "You see this butterfly?" Zeidan said after his kid's attention had been focused on the butterfly. "The eyes are the window of the soul and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." He thought of when he first saw Luana in his office and had been impressed. "It has many beautiful colors as you can see but can you know what it's capable of doing? Does it carry wisdom?" Lyne's face showed up in his mind. "I will love you to learn how to see it and know its true nature. Not with the eye's decision of conscience but with the eyes as the window to the soul. Be true to yourself, and no one," the butterfly flew out of his h

"This is ridiculous!" Charles flung the paper at the man that stood before him. He wore a black suit that clung to him and breeches with a pair of black boots. He was the King's messenger."I'm not signing this. We had an agreement. And that agreement is to become the Alpha. Not some godforsaken region governor.""I was sent by the King, not by my own will. The King requests an answer by tonight, latest." With this, he turned outside and he turned to hit the wall. How can this be happening to him?Just when he thought he was about to have his dreams come true, Lyne came back. That bastard. She was nothing but a pain in the ass and he had been lenient enough to ask that she be spared. This time, he will kill her for real. His jaws clenched and he gritted his teeth until the door opened and Korba came in."I hear you refused to sign the papers." She said, her voice reaching his ears. He became irritated that he turned to her abruptly."You believed I was going to sign that trash?!" He

  • The Omega's Fate   Epilogue

Sometimes when one thinks of the past, moving forward to the future seems hard for them. Every night, Dad would always come to tell me tales of how they fought with a magical stone called the Onyx. He said it was what brought us together as clans all over the lands, excluding the Werecats. The breeze blew my light brown hair which was slowly bleaching into blonde like my mom's as I kept writing my journal. Although I still haven't believed there was any such thing as magic, I still needed to find out. I jumped down the fence, in my leather top and jacket with boots, my two long swords clasped to my back as I walked back to the training field. I looked at the people fighting and some bowing to me. With pride and elegance, I swerved my hips past the boys, while my four friends followed from each side. Tracy, Eretria, Romena, and Sasha. Two of them were hot blonde chicks in their mid-twenties, while the other two were brunettes. We are the Angel Squad and we rule the United Clan Train

"What's wrong, Lyne?" Zeidan asked looking up at her. She now had strange eyes and he wondered if she still recognizes him. Lyne opened her hand and he could see the Onyx on her palm, green and glowing. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was Lyne's nose bleeding and her eyes returning to normal. His hands quivered and loosened around Luana which made her grab the opportunity and kicked him in the stomach while he tended to it, she kicked him in the face turned, and stabbed his stomach with a knife.Awareness dawned on him as the object sank into him. He looked at Luana with shock and his eyes were getting blurry."You had every chance to be happy with me. But you ruined it all." Luana said and further twisted the knife inside of him, making him scream out.Lyne still lay on the floor, bleeding from her nose. He gasped and was finally released so that he could sit on the floor, weak and helpless. He raised his arm but no help came. "Die, Zeidan. Goodbye." Luana left him with Sh

Lyne looked at Luana, a smile curving her lips as she resolved to fight with all her might no matter how good she may be at magic. Or using the Onyx, but she sure is good with her claws. She stretched her fingers, eyes intent on Luana whose black eyes were also fixed on her. As they both snarled at each other, they also did the same with the charge and attack. Lyne swooshed her claws at Luana's face which she moved slightly backward to avoid and in turn twirled on her heels and hit her stomach with her knee. She bent and held on to her stomach as she felt the sharpness but only for a while before she was back on her feet. Luana threw a punch from the left to the right side which she dodged and grabbed her wrist, then right to the left and she grabbed the second wrist too, then holding both wrists captive, Lyne hit her forehead with hers, not minding the resounding bang she felt. Luana cried out and she released her so she could nurse her bleeding forehead. "You bastard!" Luana swo

With blazing eyes and a torn-apart soul, Lyne glared at Luana and the stone in her hand. "You know, if I were you, as a mother who has empathy for her daughter," Luana began to say as she walked in circles around Lyne. "I'd dive into that water and save my baby." Lyne looked back at her daughter who was still afloat, her tiny arms unable to hold her on the surface for long. "You may have won this time but not next time," Lyne hissed, looking into Luana's eyeball. "And that next time is soon."With that, she jumped into the water and swam her way to her daughter, arms and legs fluttering the strong current. She grabbed her daughter by the waist and held her tight to her body, swimming back to the shore. She climbed back to the surface and bent to check her daughter who sat on the floor, weak. "My baby." She muttered, hands running over Aurora's face and body. "Are you okay?" Aurora breathed heavily. Lyne felt guilty. She was the reason her daughter passed through all these. If she

Shelbrooke was too engrossed in staring at Lyne that he was unaware when Zeidan turned and grabbed his ankle making him fall. As Reyns moved to attack him, Zeidan grabbed his spear on the floor and pointed it at Reyns who chuckled and drew out his long swords."I'm sorry that you got played not once but twice, Zeidan. However, we can't blame you but the bitch that always thought she saw the good in you." Reyns said as they turned to the center of the field, each of them stretching their weapons at the other."I didn't ask her to find the good in me. I was already good to myself." Zeidan replied, his eyes not leaving Reyns and his swords."Then, it's obvious, you had her under your magical spell. Once we have the Onyx, I'll have the power to break that stupid spell you placed on her." Zeidan huffed. "Admit it. You like her and you're just afraid that she'll reject you if you let your true intention known." The other man held on tightly to his swords now stepping forward. "That's neve

Amber and Effinton stood gallant in front of Lyne and Zeidan, already in their fighting wear. Amber was placed as leader of the archery team since Chloe had died. She was also as good as the former leader, which makes it a win-win situation. Effinton also wore his black leather suit and pants with his boot heels. They all stood at the council table, all focused on the map before them."We need to come up with a better strategy than before. A unique one that will disassemble pure enemies before they even get closer to the field that separates Vampire city from the rest of the clans." Effinton spoke up and Zeidan nodded."You're right. But what do we come up with? We have exhausted the rest of our strategies on past wars." Zeidan replied but Lyne was seeing a different thing."Maybe we don't need a new strategy but ones we have used before and can put together to fight. They won't know what hits them by the time we strike.""I think the Queen is right," Amber spoke up, pointing to a sm

Shelbrooke moved forward, his steps cautious. The rest of the team geared up, some of them suddenly shifting. Luana let out her claws and Lyne snarled at them, her strong sharp teeth revealed. "I must say I'm quite amassed by your bravery and confidence. I mean, you even managed to come into his den." Luana said, walking behind Shelbrooke, her eyes turning black."Don't tell me you're thinking about lifting a finger because I won't hesitate to draw life out of you." Lyne threatened, gritting her teeth. Shelbrooke roared, his voice booming in the cave."You lose girl." He snorted and rushed towards her. Lyne jumped up and landed behind them, turning sharply when she heard Shelbrooke order the others. "Let her be guys. I know how to handle her." She snarled at him, eyes catching her father's body from the corner of her eyes. "Bring it on." Shelbrooke hopped on her but she turned sharply and hit him head-on, her teeth sinking into his neck. A painful cat cry pierced the cave and he

Lyne received the letter from Amber, tore off the pin that held them together, and read it. When she was done, she looked back at Zeidan who stood behind her. His men were busy clearing the palace but when he saw the look in her eyes, he ordered for the both of them to be left alone. When they had gone, Zeidan moved close to her."What does it say?" He asked and she raised her blue gaze at him."They want me to come to South Park."He frowned. Yes, news reached them about Lyne's arrival but why would they need her to come to visit them? He had thought Styx would come to visit her. Perhaps, he didn't try to because he doesn't care any longer or he thought it was fake news."Why?""It says here that they want me to become the Alpha.""For South Park?"Lyne nodded but she still has worry written all over her face. She should be happy about it."This is unusual. Charles wasn't supposed to like this. He had been clamoring for that position for as long as I can remember. He should get it a

Maya exhaled audibly as she stared at the body of the man she had just finished killing. Before her, bodies lay on the floor and she could see Shelbrooke and Reyns looking at her in admiration. "I have a request to make, however," Shelbrooke said and she glanced at him."What request?" She asked still shaken from the fight. This was weird. She never gets weak, no matter how many people she kills, but then it dawned on her. Her time is up. "Remove your cover," Shelbrooke said."What?" Maya exclaimed."We need to see your face." Reyns chipped in and she felt all their gazes on her at once. What was the point? She had been hiding her face for a long while and her time is almost up. She touched the edge of the fabric, looking up at Shelbrooke. Images of what had happened the other day came rushing back. The grounds shook and it was daytime already. No one could go to the surface to survive the blast as the sun was up. Going to the surface at that time would only cause their death, fast
