The Cheating

The auditon for the contestant were finally over. The judges and staft are busy with the screening, while the audition files still airing on national television. This is the time judges can show their feeling about the matters relating to the competition. without the fear of being seen on TV for the management censor some critical scene. This also the part wherein the people behind the show anticipated the return of the clashes between the judges which was seen on small doses during the live show. Some of the scenes on their files had to be removed because of this unwanted and not suitable for public viewership.

Gabbi and Jennifer's attention was always called because of their word battle. Georgie was not spared because of her blunt comments and Josh was there like a passive on looker just observing.

"Sarah must be included because she has a potential in belting high notes and intelligent in choosing her songs."  Jennifer insisted.

" Jen, she is already stablished if not professionally but the public knows her and it would not be fair for the others to compete with her." Gabbi said.

" That will be even more interesting, don't you think that if someone will beat her surely will become more popular." Jen defended.

"I do agree with Gabbi, you see the other will be swallowed whole by  her popularity and don't forget later on when we get to the on-line polls surely with her supporters increasing. Boom!!  some of the viewers will be wondering if this is a talent search or a cooking show." Georgie with her theatrics surprise them all. some are grining some Didn't know wether to laugh or cry.

"On the contrary, I go with Jen's opinion. This is a competition we do not know what is the outcome base on their performation, they may be able to rise up to a new level. We can assume but not predict. Besides there is still some who are capable to give her a run for her money. " Josh inserted grinning and gave a wink at Gabbi while Jen's is furious as she shoots him a killing glare.

"Such as ?" georgie asked.

"Jude with the praises song piece,  ahh... Ace the rocker... and Trina the love song diva to name a few." He said.

"They are downbeat artist with the exception of Ace. Their vocals might be damage should they try to reach or compete to Sarah's level." gabbi said.

"That's why we are here to guide them. Besides we have to give the viewers a good show to have a second season, and if some of them will not succeed  which is bound to happen that's not our problem any more." Jennifer said uncaring.

"I remember there is that girl with the powerful voice... Oh Leah  and the other girl who switches her song genre, Yes!!! Danni the country girl that looked like you Gabbi." Georgie added giggling by the surprised looked on Gabbi's face.

"What? I don't believe it!"

"Yes! you nailed it Georgie, I was trying to recall where I have seen that face. Ha ha ha !" Josh gave a hearty laugh. 

" Are you sure Gabbi that you don't have a child tuck in hiding? for all we know she is yours." Jennifer have the guts to taunt even when she saw the furious look on Gabbi's face. 

" If I have achild  why would I hide her. I wouldn't be afraid to show her to the people or try to abort her just to save my carreer." She retalliated, knowing that Jennifer was involve in a scandal of abortion that was done abroad to save her rising carreer.

Jennifer realized that the table was turn to her. "I can't believe we are having this discussion! So disgusting. It is not even related to the show." 

" Ok, We will have a break, I think we are all tired to go on  with this. We will resume this tomorrow after we will have a cooler head." The moderator butted in to avoid more word battle. He has the final say in the selection of the contestant. They all risen gather their things and headed for the door. Jennifer on her way out out slammed the door on Gabbi and Georgie's faces as they are behind her.

" Ouch! Do you think she did it on purposed? Georgie ask frowning. Gabbi smiled and said. " With Jen anything is possible."

" Pity the people picture her as a considerate person."  Georgie said, but  Gabbi knew better.

Gabbi, Leila and Jennifer used to be good friends as they sing together as a trio. They were at the peak of their carreer when  Gabbi noticed that she was facing trouble more and more with the bottomline Jennifer was the cause. She treated her as a sister and a  good friend she let it passed thinking that Jen probably didn't mean any harm.

One day she was going home from a failed date with her boyfriend Josh who she thought that she was neglecting due to her busy schedule. Reason varied  such as, she had to go home to the farm to fix some trouble there with the workers against the caretaker, to her having  to attend a meeting with regards to the company  that needed her presence since her father and Gab will not be there physically. She went home to their headquarters a condominium unit she  shared with the other two, this place is so convinient for them when they are working on their music as it is in the heart of the business district, and so near to the recording studio. But each of them has their own place where they can be alone.

She entered the unit so tired and just want to lay her head and go to sleep. She went to her room but as she passed by Jen's room she heard the water dripping. Thinking that Jen might have fallen asleep with the faucet open she went inside the room which was unlocked walked further towards the bathroom. What she discovered there, shocked her beyond words. Jennifer and Josh was making up in the tub with the water continiously dripping. She caught the attention of the two with her gasped they stopped and tried to cover one another. Without a word Gabbi went out of the room, out of the condominium into the elevator with some of the people she meet gave her a curious glance. she went into her car and drove endlessly until she end up with out gas and stranded on a road near the sea. She just stayed there unable to think of anything.
