Kari's POVAfter I had eaten, and the doctor was happy with my health, the nurse removed all the contraptions I was connected to and Grant helped me to get dressed. It had been two days since Kari woke, and the doctor had finally taken the feeding tube and drip out that morning. Now, he was happy her stats were where they should be. Grant helped me carry out the box of photo albums to the car. He had become super protective of me, not only for the pups I was carrying, but also because of everything that had happened. After he had marked me the second time, which had been at the insistence of his wolf Zeus, I had passed out in his arms in the middle of the maze. When I woke the next morning, all cosy and wrapped in his arms, I had felt like none of the pain had been there. I was no longer tired, Hela was prancing in my head like a cat that has got the cream, and Grant was well and truly at full mast as he slept.
