Getting On Her Nerves

“Wait," I said and she paused for a few seconds before turning around.

“Do you want anything else?" She asked, rather impatiently.

“No," I answered.

“So why then did you call for me?" She asked.

“Cause I need you to stand right here while I eat," I replied.

“What?!" She looked stunned.

“You must be kidding, right?"

“Do you see me smiling?" I said, maintaining a stern expression.

“Why should I stand and wait till you finish your meal?" She asked with a frown.

“Cause I might need something so you need to be close to attend to my needs," I answered with a straight face.

“If you need anything you will signify by raising up your hands or calling me and I will come and attend to your needs but you don't expect me to stand at your table like some statue while you eat," she said defiantly.

“Are you here to serve or lecture, huh? Ain't you the waitress? You wait tables meaning you wait at the tables. Do I need to start educating you on your job, huh?" I said and watched excitedly as her frustr
