After some few days staying at their little house, the two were preparing for a small festival done once every year in the village. After all it was mid August and the people needed to rest and enjoy themselves.

Zane and Daliah kept on visiting them and they were the ones who had brought it up. It is specific to say Daliah was actually the one that had brought it up. The four had gotten close. As the girls had an addition of a cheery Daliah and well reserved gentleman, Zane.

"Hello ladies!" Daliah greeted when he was still a few meters away from them. Zane followed behind him, he no longer coughed or anything. He was healthy in a way, a little healthier from the first day they met him. Sitting on the steps the two waited for the girls to do their own things.

The festival was starting in the evening and it was about past four, they had plenty of time to get ready.

Alyssa and Adanna had washed up and changed in one of the cloaks they had received from the villagehead's wife. Combing their hair, Alyssa tied it at the back for a short change. The little pony reached at her shoulders slightly touching the cream coat.

Adanna let her hair loose as she scrutinised the cloak in front of her thinking of an idea to make it look fashionable. She couldn't walk around with a cloth sweeping the ground. She was too sexy to wear something like it.

She decided to leave it behind as they exited the room greeting their friends. On the way to the center of the village, Zane kept looking at Alyssa as he kept quiet as if he had something eating his mind. Everyone had sensed that he wasn't his usual self.

Reaching the crowd, the little group looked around to see torches which lit up the whole street as most of the villagers wore masks and a little far from where they were standing, a stand with roasted meat attracted the two girls who ran torwards it as Zane paid for their treat. He chose a piece and handed it over to Alyssa who murmured a thank you as she started feasting on it. He smiled and bought another one for his other two friends.

Looking around through the lively night, the important part of the festival had finally come. Everyone at that moment got onto their knees as they looked at the dark forest behind them. The masks they worn made them look as if they were some cult. They bowed some crying, some praying and some bowing quietly with some kind of respect and some with fear.

"Oh Lord Gidark!" A man roared as he bowed like the others. Alyssa looked beside her to see Zane also staring at her. His yellow eyes glowing with the light from the torches. "Aren't you also going to bow like the others?" She asked as Daliah shivered as if he was waiting for some outburst or something, he just acted weird.

"Hmmm.." He looked in front of the forest and shook his head as he turned and went to stand a little far from the crowd.

Alyssa took that as a no and didn't follow as she saw it better to leave him alone. She remained with the others as they continued to watch the people do their own things.

Watching the three from the tree, Zane sighed and looked around and spotted a thin slimy snake that was sliding on the grass to where he was standing. He cast a glare at it. As if it had been burnt by his piercing gaze it turned and went away. Eager to run with its life.

"Zane come!" He heard his best friend call as he walked torwards them as they were leaving the crowd. "Who is Lord Gidark?" The two girls asked curious to understand what was really happening in the village.

Daliah was fast to divert their topic as he started on with his blurbs. "Why is he weird today..." Alyssa asked the other two as she pointed at Zane who looked down clenching tight his hand as if he wanted to make it bleed.

"Maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Adanna laughed as Daliah joined in. "Guys this isn't funny," she complained as she went to his side. Walking quietly as she didn't want to irritate him.

"I'm sorry." She was surprised to hear him apologise as he raised his head and showing a slight smile. She wondered why he never once showed a full smile infront of her.

Nonetheless, seeing him smile made her worries go away as she urged him to walk with everyone or he would be left behind. Catching up with Adanna and Daliah, the four returned home.

Sitting on their usual spot they started yet a another round of playing some funny games, like asking questions and doing some arm wrestling. When doing the arm wrestling, Zane had found an excuse to make the two play against each other. Telling them that they might accidentally break their delicate hands.

The two had protested but they knew what he said made some kind of sense. Giving up they watched as the two wrestled. Alyssa was rooting for Zane whilst Adanna was on Daliah's side. The two men fought with everything only for Daliah to win as he pushed his friend's hand down to the little stone.

Trying to comfort him, Alyssa wrestled with Adanna and won as she celebrated and declared that they had a draw.

"So Zane what's bothering you?" Daliah asked after they had left the girls as they were on their way home. He knew asking his stubborn friend was wasting his time.

"Nothing," he deadpanned as he watched him continue to press on on the matter. "Come on man l have known you for all your life spit it out."

He quietened when he was glared by him as he made unordable sounds. Daliah was left behind as he muttered, "something is really wrong with him."

They had forgotten that they had to leave the village and go back to fix all the mess they had left behind. After being reminded by Daliah who had asked how they came to be in the village, the two were drawn back to their number one issue."What are we going to do? We have spent almost two weeks here, remember we promised to leave." Alyssa felt restless as she walked about in the room. "We can leave tonight we won't tell them. This is not our home," Adanna added as they nodded to one another. Zane and Daliah had long left saying that they had something to do.When it was night time the two sneaked out of their room and they strolled toward the forest. Looking around them as if suspecting that something was lurking in the dark, the two proceeded being weary of anything coming their way.Reaching a bit further in the forests they tried to take a step and failed as they banged on some sort of invisible barrier which was preventi

"Please," Alyssa begged as if she knew that Zane was inside the room. She was almost kneeling on the ground as she gazed up to the other who seemed l,95m tall. The village head looked back at his house and looked down at her before sighing. "He went out," he told her not giving any location or the time he had left. After listening to her continuous pleas, he dismissed her saying that he had to go freshen up. After watching him enter the house, she thought of sneaking in but after thinking it over she cast that idea out of her mind. They were leaving off of him. She couldn't cause him more trouble. He had provided them with a home and food, she couldn't let her ethics be reduced to nothingness by just one foolish thought.Feeling defeated Alyssa went back to the other two. Finding Daliah playing draft with Adanna. "You couldn't find him?" He asked watching Alyssa dejectedly taking a sit beside Adanna. The other nodded as if she didn't know what to do or say. After their small talk Adanna, Daliah, Ekon and Ama left the room, each giving a valid excuse.Ekon and Ama told the remaining two that they had to consult with the villagers. Daliah saying he had to pack and Adanna telling the same thing as she promised to do it for Alyssa as well.Left alone, Alyssa looked at Zane who didn't spare her a glance. He had tied his hair at his side as he sat on a reed mat resting his back on the wall. His long hair fell on his shoulder continuing to his front chest.Looking at his pale face Alyssa cleared her throat and moved in front of him. She knelt on her knees waving a hand in front of his eyes which were at that time looking at his lap."How are you feeling?" She asked trying to start a conversation. She knew he wouldn't reply to her but she had to try. She had searched for him from the fields back to the center of the village. Climbing up to the peak of the mountain the little group reached their destination. There were some few houses that were spaced unlike the ones at the 'Zimicah' Alyssa and Adanna had come to call home. Each was plastered with roofs growing vines on its top.The nature was so green and beautiful. And watching the little hares that were jumping around seeming healthy made the four smile as if they had entered a new world. For sure this land was like a dream to the four who had grown used to seeing things by how they were in the other village. Compared to this place, their home was a living hell.At Zimicah trees were dying, they had infertile soils, drought ruled over them for some years, no adequate water and the people were no longer giving birth. Everything about it was appalling."It looks beautiful." Alyssa squealed as she pointed at the vines as she looked around, staring at the trees and the little hares that were close by jumping around.Zane followed behind her, his eyes only o

The two girls left no details unsaid as they told the others of their lives since their young days. After all it was needed to find out exactly where they came from. It wasn't a coincidence for a double existance of two places with one name. What bothered the three men is that they knew nothing of this land. It's location or anything that could give them a clue. It was going to be a difficult quest.Fillion sat with the rest as he got busy with jotting down important facts. The ink was about to finish as he wrote those tales, the appearance of the village, the things that used to be found on it, the traditions the people followed. The food they ate. The animals that lived on it. Everything that had been said had been considered an important clue as to where they could start."Since birth, we have seen Zimicah as a normal home. If it wasn't for that storm I don't know what would have happened to us." Alyssa kept on telling the three of that place she thought she belonged."Storm?" Zane

The blue floating flames kept lighting the cave walls as the little group searched for some clues. "What do you think?" Alyssa asked looking around. She was a little excited to return with everyone. She had not forgotten the fright they had felt that lonely night. But she couldn't keep on fearing being in the same place and also this time around she wasn't only with Adanna and this made her feel more at ease. She really liked everyone's company. "So you two... you're saying when you woke up you were already in this cave." Fillion questioned instead wanting to confirm his theories before going on with his investigations. Even after all the search, there wasn't anything that came to his mind.He had activated a spell to keep off any danger from coming in their way. Whilst looking around he had a thought, 'There isn't any holes or tunnel nearby is there.'Answering to his questions, Alyssa said: "Yes that's right, other than seeing that black hollow thing and blacking out... we know n

The three men stepped into the forest, the fog still thick as it dispersed leaving a path for Zane and his two friends. It seemed as if the mist had high respects for him and had obeyed his presence leaving a narrow pathway that was clear and curved at the end. They all walked on to the opposite way from the one they had visited a while ago. Treading on the path that was created for them. "So back to your spot again." Fillion started as he looked at the familiar surroundings. He had visited the place the last time he had come by. It was about five years ago when he had thought of checking on his sickly friend. He had come mid February the time when the Chief had been desperate to handle his last born. Zane at that time, had been throwing tantrums.. cussing at the two elders. He was a head ache, but no one dared to discipline him. It would have been easy to clap his pale cheeks leaving tints of red as a mark for the lesson taught but nothing like that really happened. It is funny how the two teams came up with excuses each trying to catch up with their teammates."Sorry guys we can't hang out for today, we have pending girls' issues these following days. It will take at least four days. Sorry guys." Adanna relayed the message on behalf of the team. This was hinting for their menstruation period. It was obvious that the other three wouldn't ask anything more. What they didn't know is that the boys thought, "this is our chance"They had spent the night thinking over what to say to the three. But now... they didn't need to do anything."It's okay." They all told their loved ones. Parting at that juncture Alyssa, Adanna and Theresa took on torwards their house. Sean felt so lonely and decided to go to the kitchen and look for his mother. He was so little and so his parents decided to leave all the doors open in case their little one needed to look for them. He proceeded towards the kitchen area as he peeked through the door frame. He watched as his father affectionately touch his mother's face. She had fallen asleep whilst leaning on his shoulder forgetting that she was cooking for her little boy. When Zane saw him at the door he put his finger on his lips to shush his little boy before guiding him to come to him. Sean did as told as he made his way to his parents, he was lifted on Zane's lap as he also looked at his mother's sleeping face. Alyssa had been deep in her sleep. The party had passed and all the visitors were going back to their respective homes.Early in the morning, the couple freshened up after having a wonderful sleep together. They prepared to go bring him home. The two knew he might not agree but still, they had to give it a go. "My love... why don't we leave him there? He is close to us and also Ekon will be very happy to let him stay. And on the good side, I will get to spend more time with you. Hmm..." He suggested hiding his true motive which was related to what he couldn't finish an hour ago."No, you're spoiling him too much and also I am not going to fall for that. I cannot enter the beast's nest whilst knowing what trouble it will bring. Look at me I didn't get enough sleep. I would rather let my son deprive me of sleep." Zane listened as he felt the exci

It only took four years to transform Zimicah from what it had become. They all worked really hard. The trees which had once withered were regrown and lively. The leaves were so green and the trunks so strong so different. The forests looked very beautiful and also made the little village prosperous. The fields were now promising and the rain poured on numerous occasions. The soils were becoming fertile due to the cattle that were feeding on the grasses growing in the forests. They increased also amounting to more cow dung. The villagers planted crops and food came to a point where it wasn't a problem anymore.Zane and Alyssa changed it to a better place. And in the way, they grew a lot closer to one another. Their love grew deeper. Their friendships grew stronger as well. The land they lived in now looked far more better than that fake world that had been everything to her. Now, this Zimicah was her real home."My love where is everyone," Zane asked whilst joining her at the center o

The next day Zane started strolling around looking for some fresh air. It didn't feel good spending a week in his room. Of course, he was accompanied by his love. They were holding hands as they moved at a pace that was slower than a tortoise. Might be exaggerating but still, they were walking really slow."Where are we going?" She asked letting him lead her to who knows. Zane smiled as he made a stop through the fog. Alyssa knew that it was the forest they first met. He lifted his hand and chanted a spell which removed the barrier that had been hiding that little house. "Where is this?" She was surprised to see a house appear from thin air. Zane pulled her close as they entered inside. Alyssa looked around seeing the dusty walls and floors. She glanced at the hammock bed before she was lifted up and put on it. He also joined her as they relaxed together."You didn't tell, what is this place really." "Used to be my comfort zone but if you want we can sometimes come and relax. It is

She did not sleep as she would hold his hand and sometimes hug him when she felt very lonely. She wanted him to open his eyes and smile her way. She missed him too much. It was really hard seeing him like that. He looked as if he was a ghost. The poison inside his body had been neutralized with his own. He couldn't wake up because he was too weak and also it was a new month. For him a new month meant hell for the first five days. He would have headaches, chest pains, stomach aches and sometimes he would have his whole body writhing with so much pain.Alyssa sat beside his sleeping form as she watched over him. She yearned for his yellow eyes. Those past six days had been filled with nothing but sadness and worry. She worried he might not ever wake up. "Come on Zane... wake up. I don't want to see y

At the present, Alyssa faced the evil woman in front of her. She did not know her but Dien had brought her into their senseless revenge. Zane was still by her side embracing her, as he shielded her from his mother. Mother....he wouldn't call her that. He felt nothing for her. She was just a stranger trying to bring havoc to his peaceful life.Maybe, if she had acted like one then he would have considered it. And maybe if they had spent lots of time together then he would have felt hurt and betrayed. If she had been a mother then he would feel the need to make her stop. If he remembered the little time they had spent together then it would have made him question what had changed her. If he hadn't suffered because of her then he wouldn't have felt a strong feeling to end her. And if she hadn't tried to kill him and Ekon then he would be free of that illness. Some say when you kill a snake, burn it or if you leave it in the open you will find it gone. It can come back to life. And as odd as that sounds it had been what happened after their fight. Dien fell down the cliff and really died. A week passed as she lay on that spot. She couldn't feel the coldness down below. Her purple snake body kept on enduring the heat during the day.It is one night after those seven days when she miraculously opened her eyes, feeling her body numb and she had no energy to move. Her stomach made growling sounds that frightened creatures that were near her. She couldn't shift and the only way she could move was after eating something. It didn't have to be any animal. She really wanted the meaty, less bony human. She wished for one to end up to her. And just like that, an old man was passing by. He had gotten late looking for firewood. It had been his habit of taking shortcuts through that place. Just by smelling him come her way, made Dien's heart pound loud

"Dad where is mom?" Little Zane asked. He had seen that most kids in the village had mothers but he didn't remember his own. Or even had any memory of her looks.Years had passed since that day. Ade had lied to his sons, telling them that she had ran away. He couldn't bring himself to tell them the truth. It was quite harsh and he had also not quite fully accepted everything yet. The fact that his love had been quite a different person or to say creature confused him much. When he had brought the fake news to his two lovely sons, Ekon had believed him but Zane knew nothing and also didn't understand what they were busy talking about.Ade raised his two children on his own. Even though it was difficult he somehow managed to make it through. It really hurt being reminded of her. Sometimes he would get really angry when Zane brought her up.Just like that time he had asked of her.".... Stop asking." He would yell feeling very irritated. She was the worst memory of his past. WE GO BACK TO THE TIME DIEN MET ADE. THIS IS THE STORY OF THIS COUPLE AND HOW ZIMICAH CAME TO BE WHAT IT IS.In a village deep in the mountains, there lived a woodcutter. He stayed inside a one-roomed house which was thatched and built with mud and poles. He had a very obedient son, and the two lived quite a simple life at least that was before Dien came into their lives. All was turned upside down by just visiting the nearest village to shop for some necessities. It is that one day when he decided to take his son with him. And at that time Ade was really young and naive. Whilst his father was shopping, the little boy wandered off and lost his way. He ended up at a house that was close to the market. It looked different from the rest. He moved forward wanting to take a closer look but before he could enter the gate a girl that had purple hair and red eyes blocked his way. "Father come look at this thief!" She had shouted to the Chief of the village. Dien had lived with both parents
