The air was heavy.
It reeked of anger and disappointment, surprise and guilt.
Diya stared at them as she kept her mouth shut.
She was starting to think Amyntas forgot his eyes on her.
She looked away and he sighed.
He looked at her in disappointment.
"Say something".
He glared at her and she shrunk back in fear.
"We trusted you, Diya. How could you keep something like that from us?, you keeping something like this means you can betray us", Amosis spoke in anger.
"What is wrong with you?, what happened to you that makes you hide in your shell? Do you intend to be like this forever? Not completely honest?. You're no different from those who tried to kill us", Amosis spoke in her face.
"Stop crying Diya. You knew the consequences of your actions".
"Speak up".
Amyntas rose up and stood on his strong tail, opening his mouth.
His snake tongue and fangs were on display.
Diya looked on in fear as if he was going to devour her.
His chest heaved and he looked ready to kill.
Diya covered her face with her arms.
She knew she was going to die one day but she didn't know it was going to be this soon.
She felt his breath on her leg.
He's going to start from my lower body, she thought.
She waited to be lifted up the ground but felt nothing.
Instead, a cold wet substance dropped on her leg.
It burned her leg and she hissed in pain.
When she looked at it, she saw an open wound and it looked like the wet substance was healing her wound.
She didn't realize she had gotten hurt from the run earlier as the adrenaline was rushing in her.
His poison was healing her wound.
The nagas crawled out, leaving her alone.
Then she cried.
She knew they didn't deserve it.
All they ever did was take me in and take care of me. I knew all their secrets yet i kept the most important one from them, she cried as she thought to herself.
She hugged her knees and rested her back against the wall of the cave.
Later that night, none of them came inside the cave.
Diya limped outside as her leg was still hurting and saw them all sleeping on branches of trees except for Gracchus.
She climbed a tree and sat on Amyntas stomach.
He opened his eyes and stared at her.
They were no emotions in his eyes.
Then he closed his eyes and went back to sleep.
Diya hugged his huge frame and bit her lower lip in sadness.
She didn't mean to hurt them.
Amyntas sighed and wrapped his tail around her.
Diya went to sleep under the beautiful moonlight wrapped in her naga brother's tail.
"What do you want to eat?".
"Why are you asking?".
"So i can know whether to poison you or not".
The chattering voices woke Diya up the next morning.
She rubbed her eyes and yawned.
She wasn't on the tree anymore. She was laid on grass covered with a big cloth.
Diya looked at the sky and the sun was already in its full glory shining brightly.
If Diya should guess, It should be around 12 pm.
They had taught her how to tell time by looking at the sky but she wasn't as good as them.
Just to be sure, she checked an old clock they took from one of the humans.
Diya knew the nagas do not need sign language with her as she wasn't mute from birth.
She just decided to go with the sign language in her pack because,
One, she wanted to limit interaction and two, she believed they were just plain stupid. She just nodded or shook her head most times.
The nagas were used to her body language so she didn't really need to write on the ground except on rare occasions.
Diya turned her head and saw Gracchus up, she smiled and River yelled.
Gracchus!.
"You can't poison me", Gracchus replied.
"Why not?", Amosis asked.
"Because I'm a naga, stupid".
Amosis lunged for Gracchus as he crawled into the water.
Amyntas was resting against a big rock and Akakios watched the ongoing fight with delight.
Diya stood up and went over to them.
She decided they deserved to know everything, she needed to be completely honest with them and that starts now.
The water fight stopped and they all stared at her.
"Good Morning".
Gracchus gasped.
"So It's true".
Diya nodded her head slowly and looked at Amyntas.
"I sorry", she said quietly.
"What?", Akakios asked.
"I'm sorry", she said again looking at her feet.
"You have a beautiful voice", Akakios complimented.
"Thank you".
Amyntas came over to her and looked at her.
"But why?".
"I–i do–d–d–don't know".
"I was scared", she finally said."Of what?".
"Everything, i didn't know how it was going to feel like".
"Pathetic excuse", Amosis scoffed.
"Why did you stop talking?".
Diya looked at Gracchus with wide eyes. Dreadful and tragic memories that had been buried deep in her rose to the surface and invaded her heart and mind.
"Give it back, It's mine".
"No, It's mine".
"Fine!".He let go of it and she stumbled backwards into the road.
"Diya!".
Tears began to flow from her eyes as her lips trembled.
"It's alright, you don't have to talk about it".
She nodded and hugged Amyntas.
"Let's go hunting".
They all glared at Gracchus who rolled his eyes.
"Go with Amosis", Akakios suggested.
"No!", she flinched at Amosis' tone and felt hurt.
Amosis crawled away immediately not bothering to look at her.
"He's just upset, Lying is the worst thing you could do to him", Akakios said then went after him.
"He'll get over it in no time", Gracchus consoled then went back to swimming.
"But i didn't lie, i just didn't say it", Diya said lowly.
Amyntas stared at her and shook his head as she sat down with him.
"Are you hungry?", he asked.
She shook her head.
"You can talk", he pointed out.
"Sorry, i mean no".
"Can i ask you something?", she looked at him with uncertainty.
"Go ahead".
"Why did you forgive me so easily?".
"Because you're a child, you're still learning".
She rolled her eyes.
"How old are you anyway?".
"Two hundred and seven years".
Diya looked at him in utter shock.
Amyntas laughed and used his finger to close her mouth.
"Why don't you have a mate?".
"We haven't found her".
"What do you mean we?".
"We naga brothers share one mate, I'm guessing she hasn't showed up because Gracchus is still young".
"How old is he?".
"Eighty four years but she should show up around when he's Ninety".
"Wow".
"When you eventually find your mate, how do you mate?", she looked away as she asked the question.
"With this", he pointed to his lower body.
Diya looked at him in confusion and he smiled.
"Let me explain".
"Nagas can choose to be in three different forms, this", he said as he pointed to himself.
"A full human or a full snake but It's considered disrespectful by nagas to keep switching so you choose one form. There is a hidden penis beneath this layer of skin so when i want to mate, it comes out or i mate as a full human".
Diya was still trying to process the new information when Akakios yelled.
"Time to eat!".
Diya and Gracchus raced to the rabbit in Akakios' hand.
She sighed in content.
Life with the naga brothers was great. She had made a mistake but she was going to fix it.
If only she knew what awaited her.
Something bigger than her mistake.
The young Alpha stared at his younger brother. His little brother was smiling widely at him, standing next to a very pretty lady. "Good evening Alpha", the lady greeted. "Hello there", Alpha Calihan replied with one of his own infamous smiles. The lady blushed as his brother, Carlos held on to her hand. "Brother", Carlos greeted. "Little brother", Calihan replied.
"Akakios", Diya groaned as she shook Akakios' tail. The aforementioned naga flicked his tail in Diya's direction which made the werewolf move backwards. "Pesky fly", Akakios muttered in his sleep. Diya frowned. She was not a fly!. She climbed on his tail and hit his chest gently. "Akakios, I'm hungry". Ever since the incident with the hunters, the naga brothers banned Diya from hunting alone.
It had been eight months since Calihan found out he had no mate. Eight months of torture. Eight months of pure agony. "Calihan, you have to snap out of this. People say the Alpha loses himself after losing his mate but you don't have to be one of those alphas", his mother spoke. "I am one of those alphas, mother. I lost my mate, the only soul that can bring out the best in me". "A mate doesn't bring out the best in you, they only help you stay at being the best of yourself". "It's no use", Calihan groaned. His Beta, Rajesh came into his room but
After Diya finished explaining her story to Calihan, he had told her to go take a bath while he prepared something for her to eat.Diya, filled with happiness, smiled and nodded her head at him."I'm so happy you're here with me", he said with a smile.Likewise, Diya thought. Calihan kissed her cheek and left. Diya smiled widely and River was happy. They were content. They had found their mate, by sheer luck and he believed she didn't kill her father.Alpha Calihan was perfect. She could already see herself falling in love with him.Diya went into her mate's bathroom to do her business. After bathing, she wrapped his green towel around her waist. When Diya had first arrived, her initial thought was that she could manage with Poppy till she got a job to settle then go mate hunting. She never thought she would meet her mate so quickly, much more be mated to an Alpha.Guess fate smiled on her. She picked out an armless dress from her bag and set it on the bed. She let the towel drop
"Who are you and how did you get this?", he questioned authoratively. He fingered the locket as Diya answered, very frightened. "It belongs to my mother"."You're Lena's daughter?", the man looked surprised. Diya nodded her head."Diya?".She looked back at the voice that had called her name and the dragon behind her had changed into a young man. She nodded her head again, less afraid now. "Where are you going?", the older man asked. "Nowhere. I'm just going wherever my legs take me". "Malachi, take her to your sisters and meet me at the supernatural meeting", the older man said to the younger one. "Yes, father".They both shifted into dragons and the father flew away, giving Diya one last lingering look. Diya then realized something. The man had said Lena was his sister. That meant-That man was her uncle and this young man was her cousin. Dragons. Her mother's family were dragons. Wow. "How will i get on your back?", she asked the young dragon who replied her by carrying
"Min Ho, i told you to get me some lady clothes, what is she going to wear until we get back?", the Alpha asked his delta, the food demon behind him as top Epsilon, Daniel was driving.Min Ho held up a hand as he ate the ribs, sauce dripping on each side of his mouth.Rajesh stole the meat from him and ate it. He licked his fingers before smacking Rajesh.Rajesh threw the bone in his face and scowled. Calihan rolled his eyes.Idiots."I am surrounded by idiots", he muttered under his breath. "What the fuck dude?", Daniel yelled. Oh, i said that out loud, Calihan mentally smacked himself. "Yeah, what he said", Rajesh added to Daniel's cry of annoyance."I asked you a question, Min Ho"."And i answered you in my head", he replied."Then answer me with your mouth"."I sent the clothes through an omega, she should have gotten them by now"."You had to wait until we left the pack huh?", Calihan almost glared at him. "Is she beautiful?", Min Ho asked instead. "Very, like a t-"."I wasn

Diya had been with her mother's family for two days and It has been pure enjoyment. When her uncle and cousin finally came back, Mikayla explained the situation to them but her uncle had said he wasn't sure about Calihan being a killer since he knew the Alpha.According to him, Alpha Calihan was one of the easy going alphas just like Alpha Izan."Who's Alpha Izan?", Diya asked."Calihan's close friend, the Alpha of New Dawn pack although Izan is more closed off"."Isn't he the Alpha that lost his mate?. He's just plain arrogant", Mikayla muttered. They were having lunch when someone ran inside. "King Xerxes, we have intruders in the village".Xander and his father, King Xerxes exchanged looks then left. "Please, let it be him", Diya said aloud."You mean your mate?", Malaysia, her nineteen year old cousin asked. "Yes"."So why wish he's the one?"."So i don't jinx it", Diya answered. "Okay true", Mikayla agreed, nodding. "But he doesn't know you're here", Malaysia added. "I hope
She was struggling. But she was also healing. Calihan had suggested therapy and she had concurred so here she was, day twelve of treatment. "Luna, you seem to believe you do not deserve happiness or only bad things keep happening to you. I can say it's quite normal, you may not know or understand why things happen to you yet but your conscious thoughts trick you into believing these made up facts. Just like how there isn't someone behind us but our mind tricks us into believing there is". "If you keep suppressing these feelings or pushing them away instead of trying to overcome or push through, I'm afraid there will be a build up and this can lead to diverse health problems, moreover, it can affect the people in your surroundings". Finally, Luna Diya had learnt her lesson. She had learnt to solve problems not run away from them. That was why when she finished her treatment for the day, she went for a meeting, the meeting that was cut short weeks ago due to the attack that happened
When Diya arrived in Hillnia valley, the abode of the dragons, former king Xerxes was a bit surprised. He was about to ask her why she was all alone but when he saw that her face was as long as a fiddle and that her fingers were playing with her locket, the ancient dragon keep quiet. Her uncle understood at once from the hangdog look on her face so he welcomed her in. Age was beginning to show on the former dragon king. His head was full of greyish white hair and he had wrinkles around his forehead and lips. Yes, he was still strong but his muscles had sagged a little bit and the fierceness that used to be the color of his eyes had now been replaced with a softer look, almost repose. But even if his eyes held calmness, it was the type of calmness before a storm. Diya looked around for the youngest dragon child as she drank her ginger tea. "Mikayla is with her sister. Malaysia just had her second child so she's helping her with chores", her uncle supplied. Diya nodded her head and si
She was troubled. Her gloomy countenance loomed over the pack house like heavy clouds holding rain. If her empty stares and plodding movements were not enough to deter people from her, her swollen red eyes that were always rimmed with tears made them give her her space. It had been almost a week and she wouldn't even look at her mate. When her children tried to talk to her, she only gave them sad smiles. This had caused a strain in the bond between her and Calihan. She was distant and sometimes, it was like she wasn't even there. Of course, she could still talk through the link but Diya, it was like she was drowning in an ocean of darkness, she could feel Calihan trying to draw her out but the pall abyss refused to let her up. Why did this have to happen to her again?. Why her?. Why must being Diya McClain mean her life must be hard?. But she wasn't even Diya McClain anymore. She was Diya Lancaster and yet, her misery still stayed with her. She was very much aware she was stress
Alpha Calihan was being a big baby this morning. Bigger than that one time he stubbed his pinky toe and clung to Diya all day, whining about how painful it was. Even though he had exaggerated, Diya still babied him and stayed with him, pampering him. And now, this morning. The Alpha had an appointment in two hours to meet the guards at the borders and the Luna had an appointment in an hour to join the women for their monthly meeting. "Calihan-i have to get up now", Diya groaned. The alpha only mumbled in reply as he nuzzled his nose closer into her neck, his arms wrapped tightly around her waist and his body on top hers, inbetween her legs. Then he lifted his head, only to lower it in her bosom and rub his face between her breasts. Diya kneaded his soft hair in her hand and watched her man baby with adoring eyes. "ancel 'he 'eein", he mumbled. "I can't cancel. Besides, don't you have to go out soon? I heard some rogues are being troublesome at one of the borders". "-ies". "Hmm
The bell rang, signaling the start of a lesson. Jefferson and his brother were already sat in class, their eyes wavering between the girl few seats from them and the door, patiently waiting for their teacher. Everyone settled down and soon, the Facts and Myths teacher, Doubledecker walked inside. See, her name was actually Mrs Desmond but after some seniors saw her in bikini, they nicknamed her double-decker because her ass was split into four fractions. Students being students somehow ended up carrying the story of Mrs Desmond in weird bikini around the school and ever since then, she had being called that. Behind her back. "Welcome to FM 312. Today is going to be an interactive class. I gave you an assignment which some of you have failed to turn in. I am glad to tell you that it is a part of your continuous assessment. Please open your textbooks to page 18". The flipping of textbooks mixed with disgruntled noises were heard in the classroom as the teacher wrote on the board. "A
Alas, the day had finally come. Blue Rose pack was divided into two. Alpha Calihan sighed in exasperation as he heard the mumblings of his people. Yes, the day was mod. The day his sons were officially recognized as the future Alphas of Blue Rose pack. There were people who complained about their flirting and there were people who doubted their strength. Today might be their eighteenth birthday but were they mentally ready to rule the pack?. After all, their father had taken the role of Alpha immediately he clocked eighteen after losing his father, the twins' grandfather to the great war. But the twins were very different from their father. Unlike Jefferson and Jameson, Calihan didn't have the luxury of leisure when he was a teenager, he was busy training to be a leader. Well, that would be decided later. Besides, only time will tell what the twin Alphas are capable of. For now, everyone was going to enjoy the party. Calihan had allowed his sons throw an outdoor party near a lar
By the time they got back home, the heavens had swallowed daylight. Tiny petals of stars festooned the dark moonless sky. The weather was as calm as a dove, cold air carrying the tranquility of the night, but, Alpha Calihan was as excited as a squirrel. Although it was their house, Diya still felt jittering as they snuck in like teenagers, mostly because they smelt of arousal and Diya's neck was littered in hickies. They let out breaths of relief when they got to their room. "You don't think the copies do this, do you?". "You mean sneak in their flirts or sneak into their flirts' houses?", Diya asked her mate in return. Calihan opened his mouth to say something but then closed his mouth back. "Emerson is still innocent, right?", he asked after a while. Diya looked at him and he shook his head. "No, don't answer it. Anyway, did you enjoy today?". "Yes Alpha, I did. Thank you very much", she smiled at him and pecked his lips. Her smile grew as she walked away into the bathroom. Lit
He was a taken man.But that didn't stop women from swooning over him. Alpha Calihan, although less flirty, smirked to himself as he walked past a group of youths. Their comments about his mate tickled his ears and he couldn't help but chuckle lowly. Of course, the luna was a very lucky woman and Diya sure knew it. That was why her face lit up when she saw her husband through the window as he came out of his car, holding a bouquet of flowers. She had just finished accessing the jewels that came into the pack with the help of the top epsilon, Daniel who made sure they weren't stolen products and Diya, who made sure they were original treasures. It was a very cliché moment when Calihan walked into the office of the top epsilon at the Trade centre building and kissed her cheek. It was even more cliché when Diya blushed as she was handed the bouquet. She giggled when he stared down at her lovingly, sounding very much like the girls her sons tried to woo. "Hey", he smiled at her. "Hi",
Sienna was what you would call beautiful before calling pretty. She had this natural loveliness to her that could entrap anyone. Her braided dark long hair only added to the gorgeousness of her light brown skin. She had soft brown eyes and long legs. She had the curves in all the right places which made her even more desiring. It was mid noon when she got a text from the twin Alphas about their assignments, FM 312 to state ten facts and ten myths supported with references and MBE 318 on the detailed structure of the twelve headed hydra. She was overjoyed when the text said they had completed the complex drawing. She had made a deal with them to share her FM 312 assignment with them in exchange for the drawing. So now, she was in the pack house, in front of the twins' door and knocked. The door opened and she walked in. "Hi", she greeted. "Hey", they greeted as notes were traded. She was about to walk out when one of them stopped her. "We're sorry about what happened in the janito
