Chapter 2. Trapped

“Your smell is so good.” Gabriel hissed and moaned when he pushed himself against Eva. Evangeline was holding her squeak of pain under her abdomen. She pushed Gabriel’s chest away, but he did not stop devouring her with aggressive smooches and bites.

“Let me go.” Eva’s voice was getting vogue. The drugs make her sight blurry. She became unconscious afterward. The beast was released within seconds. The alpha Xander was fulfilling his temptation to imprint Eva at the peak of mating season.

It was tonight, the full moon of the mating season when Alpha Xander must imprint his mate. He's slept with humans, vampires, werewolves, and even fairies, but none of them was the woman he's been looking for for more than 300 years.

Gabriel whispered, "You're so beautiful," as he blew a little air on Eva's red face. Gabriel has been looking for her beauty for a long time. When he claimed her as his, all it took was a click. Gabriel couldn't handle his smiles of happiness. Gabriel didn't feel bad even though he left marks and bruises all over her body.

On his peak, Gabriel bit lightly and the moon crescent appeared on her wrist as one of his hand grasped it. The mark would stay as her identity as a Luna.  

Moreover, Gabriel left more of a mark on her by giving her a few soft bites. He was making her his by giving her hickeys all over her chest and through her cute belly. "Don't move. I'm coming back." Before he got up, Gabriel kissed the tip of Eva's nose.

Gabriel Xander has to have his own Luna to finish his throne as alpha. This has been a part of his life for more than 300 years. His beta, Cheyne, had the idea to pick a strange girl to mate with out of the blue. Cheyne set up a meeting with Michael Alexander to make a request when he couldn't find the right one. Gabriel did agree with his idea, though.

On the other hand, Gabriel, was becoming angry and restless. The peak of the mating season would be in two days. Still, Gabriel was not at ease.

“Do you think this is going to work?” Gabriel asked his beta, Cheyne, who arranged everything. Cheyne put on his best smile and gave a small nod.

“She will come, Alpha. Then you are going to be an absolute Alpha of our pack.” Cheyne spoke with more confidence. Gabriel paced back and forth nervously, like a man who was worriedly waiting for his laboring wife.

"I have been on the throne for nearly a century. If I miss again this time, they will throw me away from my place!” Gabriel gritted his frustration out of his mind.

“You should remove vexation from your mind, Alpha. It doesn’t give you anything but frustration. You need to have faith now.” Through all the chaos, Cheyne kept telling Gabriel that he had made the right choice. And when Gabriel saw that his bride was late, chaos almost broke out.

However, the Moon Goddess gave him the rightful choice, although through force. Gabriel finally found his mate tonight, right at the peak of mating season. He smirked as he changed into human form, naked upon unconscious Evangeline Alexander. He gasped for a second, but then he felt so free.

The mating made him a complete Alpha of Black Canis’s pack. Gabriel is going to be the last Alpha of his pack if he cannot make his own heir. As the leader of the biggest and most powerful pack in the clan, he could not stay single. Someone else's family would happily take his place on the throne.

Gabriel did not go to sleep after his mating. He was extremely curious about his mate. Gabriel dressed before tucking Eva into a warm, comfy duvet. Gabriel went out to find his Beta in another room. He must learn everything he can about the girl. The most critical thing was to announce Luna.

Gabriel said, "I found her," when he met Cheyne. Cheyne hadn't seen a big smile like Gabriel's in over a hundred years.

"What?! Is it working?" Cheyne almost squeaked when he heard a fact that was so hard to believe. Gabriel gave a happy smile and a nod.

"Tell everyone in the pack that I imprinted her already." Cheyne put his hand in the air after scoring a goal.

"Goddess, this is such good news!" he said almost out loud. Gabriel gave him a proud smile. Cheyne's bizarre idea made Gabriel meet his last mate after a hundred years of waiting.

"I'll let everyone know. Alpha, your dad must be proud of you." Gabriel gave an excited Cheyne another nod.

“Thank you. Your idea is brilliant.” Garbiel praised Cheyne’s good work. Cheyne smiled broadly and nodded.

“Anytime, Alpha. Anytime.” Cheyne turned to the corridor to leave, but Gabriel stopped him in a second.

“Cheyne, do you think this is the best time for me to set up the wedding in order to pronounce her? Or am I rushing?” Gabriel suddenly thought about the wedding instead.

“Why not? Let’s have the wedding tomorrow.” Cheyne became more interested in the idea. Gabriel gave a sure nod.

“Let’s prepare everything tonight!” Gabriel did not bother to take some rest because he wanted to arrange his wedding. He did not care for her name or her identity. The most important thing was that the wedding would be held tomorrow, along with the announcement to Black Canis’s pack.

Evangeline slowly woke up in the morning. She was out of it the whole night and could hardly move. Her abdomen and thighs were so sore that she could not move for a few minutes. “What is happening to me?” Eva grumbled a bit and held her head.

She sat down after a few tries and found herself naked under the duvet. "Oh my goodness! What happened to me?" Eva started crying when she realized she had been sexually abused. Eva couldn't remember the man, but she knew that the Devil had taken her innocence.

Eva forced herself to get up, although her sore thighs were painful. She picked up her clothes and left the room as soon as possible. There was no time to take a shower or put on makeup. Eva did not care about her messy looks.

After successfully going out of the suite, Eva left for the elevator while hiding her bawling eyes. She cornered herself and hoped that the bad man would never find her again. When Eva was getting to the elevator, Gabriel came out of another elevator along with some bridal people. They were going to make Eva the most beautiful bride to Alpha’s Xander.

"Luna?" Gabriel didn't use Eva's name because he didn't know what it was yet. Gabriel came in and opened the door to the bedroom. His eyes got bigger when he couldn't find her.

“Where is she?" Gabriel raggedly yelled.
