“I have to go back and see this through. I promise I’ll be okay.” I assured her, glancing at the two men who stood stiffly behind me.
“Let me know if they give you any trouble and I’ll get Oliver to deal with them.” She threw a glare at both of them and I chuckled, gathering her in my arms.
“Thank you for everything,” I whispered, inhaling her calming scent.
“Take care of yourself, okay?” She frowned deeply, clearly fighting an internal battle.
