Jaylen stood by the door contemplating on the last minute if he should just return to the elevator and head back home or to his office. At the same time his legs seem to want to stay put there.

All through the night, he had been having a second thought on coming to see Rex. On a hand is his ego, on the other hand is his need to do what is actually right but the thoughts of him having to face Jayden again didn't sit right with him. At the same time there was no way he would forgive himself if anything went wrong at the Fortress because of his insistence on staying back.
