2: My Human Fated Mate

I'm loving the addicting lavender scent of my unconscious mate that assaulted my nostrils, making me heady with desire.

I've been pacing back and forth on the floor of my room, getting excited to be able to finally transform into my human form after a long time of being confined in my werewolf form.

I'm 30 years old now, and I was only 10 years old when I was struck with a curse that will keep me stuck in my wolf form forever if I can't find my mate.

I waited for so long...

Now my mate is finally here to help me free myself from the curse!

'What are you waiting for? Claim our mate!' My impatient wolf, Stan, growls loudly.

"Wait a second! What is the problem with our mate? Why is her face filled with ugly scars?" I said, frowning while inspecting my mate's face closely.

'It looks like she was also cursed, just like us. She is indeed our soulmate! Claim her now!' Stan ordered excitedly.

I shook my head. "No, we can't do that. I couldn't claim her while she was sleeping. It would be unfair to her." I protested.

'If she wakes up and sees you in your wolf form, she will be frightened to death! So do it now, bite her neck, and establish the mark so that you can shift into your human form. Do it now!' Stan ordered me urgently.

No longer hesitating, my heart filled with euphoria, I climbed the bed, lowered my head on her neck, and sank my teeth into her soft skin, claiming her as my own.

I tasted her blood, which was as sweet as honey. I wanted more! But wanting more means I will drain her blood quickly, and since she is a mere mortal, she will die before we even mate properly.

The moment her blood reached my lungs and traveled through every fiber of my being, I slowly transformed into my human form.

I leaped from the bed and ran towards the life-size mirror in the corner of my room near the bathroom door, looking at my reflection. My eyes glowed with happiness and satisfaction. "Perfect! I got my human form back!"

'Let's wait to see how long you can stay in your human form,' Stan said. 'You can shift into your human form in the past, but only for a few minutes, and the whole process of transformation is excruciatingly painful, knocking you out the whole day.'

I want to go back to bed and stare at my mate's face, and to my delight, the scars on her face start to fade away, revealing a beautiful woman behind the ugly scars. She was radiating an intoxicating aura, filling my heart with tenderness. I ran my fingers through her silky, light brown, wavy hair, enjoying the rich texture of her locks. I was drawn to her mouth, wanting to touch her kissable red lips.

'Wow! Look at our mate! She looks so pretty and stunning without the scars on her face! I'm drooling right now!' Stan gushed in elation.

I agree with my wolf; our mate is indeed good-looking beyond my imagination. I can still remember her terrified brown eyes looking at me as she ran fast towards the staircase to escape my presence. With lightning speed, I managed to catch her before she crumbled to the floor. And when I carried her soft hourglass body towards my room, I felt like I was floating on cloud 9.

'What is your plan now?' Stan asked.

"I'll wait for mother and father. They will arrive soon, any moment from now." I responded.

'And what is your plan with our mate?' Stan inquired.

I replied, "I'll bring her with us. She will be with us wherever we go."

'But I have to remind you that as the future Alpha in our pack, you can only have a pure-blooded werewolf as your wife and Luna beside you. Our mate is human. The Alpha King will never allow us to have a human mate. It's against our tradition.' Stan stated the obvious.

I sighed deeply. "I know. This is indeed problematic. But no matter what happens in the future, I will never let go of our mate." I uttered those words seriously while running my hand across my mate's face.

There was silence for a few seconds. I no longer heard my wolf's voice in my head as he retreated into his own world.

I continue staring at my mate, wondering how she would feel after she wakes up and sees her face in the mirror. All her ugly scars are gone, and her true beauty shines like a diamond.

Should I make myself known to her in my human form or in my wolf form?

I had a lot of things to consider since my family is coming to visit me, and they will be happy after they learn the good news that I am finally able to shift into my human form after meeting my mate.

I sat on the bed and continued gazing at my beautiful mate. I laid myself down beside her, wanting to inhale more of her lavender scent.

I must think carefully about what to do next because once my family arrives, I will become extremely busy. They want me back as soon as possible since I have a duty to my family and to my pack that needs my attention.

My father has been lamenting for a long time about wanting to retire as the Alpha King of the packs in the East Region, and yet my two younger brothers are not fit to become the next Alpha King because they have health issues, and because I was cursed, I was unable to shift into my human form for a long time.

But now that my problem with shifting has been sorted out, my father would most likely declare me his successor, and it's not good to declare my human mate as my rightful Luna right away. It would cause chaos among the council members.

Everything takes perfect timing!

Therefore, I will be very busy then and have no time for my mate, but I will definitely find time for her.

I feel sad after realizing the true extent of my situation.

I planted a kiss on my human's mate's lips, wanting to explore deeper, but I decided against it at the last minute. It's not the perfect time yet to give in to my lust. Now is the time to prepare for what lies ahead.

I closed my eyes for a few seconds, hoping things would get clearer once I sorted everything out. For now, my focus is on my duties. Making my human mate my rightful Luna is next on my agenda.

I want no one else as my Luna, only my lovely human mate, Lauren!

As much as I wanted to stay like this in bed with my human mate, I need to bring her back upstairs because my family is coming soon. I will introduce her to my family as the woman who broke the curse that I suffered from for many years.

I went to the closet and put on a white t-shirt and black pants, then went back to the bed and carried my mate in my arms. I left the room, heading to the staircase.

I'm so excited to see the outside world again!
