" Wow. Are you asking me out?" Anya gaped at him.
" Umm I wouldn't word it out like that but," he coughed when Anya interrupted.
" I should tell Sarah. This is headlines to her." Anya said laughing and reached her bag to get her phone.
"No! She doesn't need to know. Please." Cedric pleaded trying to snatch the phone away from her when Anya immediately moved away fr
She looked at him for one long second and breathed out. " Not like this." She said pointing to her hand which he was holding. Ronan smiled and slowly released her hand." How about like this?" He asked crossing his arms." Whichever suits you best." She shrugged smiling and started walking towards the entrance of the fair. She didn't wait to see if he was following her because this was her time to boss him around which was partly the reason
"You were right." She said so quickly that she doubted if it even left her lips. She saw his body relax slowly as he turned towards him." So I do look like him?" He asked with a painful expression and she suddenly felt sorry for him."No, not entirely." She rushed in.
Ronan inserted the key card to his room and the door opened. His room looked different than the others as she examined the intricate designs on the walls, the extravagant lights and the spacious room. The bed was super large with extra mattresses. There was a big glass window which overlooked the city as they were on the twentieth floor. The curtains hung majestically like in the theatres and probably worked through a remote."Why is your room different than the others?" She asked untying her hair after placing her bag on one
"So...potato,huh?" She said with a playful smile."Don't you dare." He smiled which slowly turned into a grin.Anya realised that she was grinning as well. She immediately turned around and tried to stop smiling but it seemed like an impossible task. She hid her face with her untied hair as she
"What are you smiling at?" She spat out at him."Oh, it's nothing. Was just expecting you to walk out of with a bathrobe on but seems like my dreams have been shattered." He said as he pounded his fist on his chest and faked a frown. "You are a dirty woman, Anya." He said and she wondered what he really meant.Did he mean it literally or in some other context? She tried to decipher it from the way he was looking at her but ther
The incessant ringing of the phone woke up Anya. She tried to make it go away by pressing her ears hard against the pillow but it didn't seem to work. She waited for the phone to stop ringing as she thought Ronan would eventually pick it up. After a few more rings, she groaned and slowly pulled her blanket down and squinted through her eyes. The bed was empty. She jolted up as some part of her reflex kicked in probably because the sensory perception of women to sense danger was really high. She looked around the room and found it empty as well.
The first few minutes in the car went awfully quiet as Ronan kept his eyes fixed on the road. He didn't utter a single word nor look at her and this made her queasy. She looked at him in order to start a conversation and that's when she actually noticed what he was wearing.A black tuxedo that covered his white shirt with black patten leather shoes that matched his suit perfectly. His hair was neatly combed to the back as if it was gelled. His left wrist adorned a watch that was probably costlier than his suit or maybe just a
Lunch was a lavish affair with a variety of cuisines and culinary delicacies that can't be possibly enjoyed to the fullest even by the most ardent food lover. That was the amount of food and drinks that was served during the event and Anya savoured every bit of the gourmet meals. She had fun teasing Ronan now and then, laughing along with his mother and Shelly. Shelly too seemed to enjoy Anya's company as she started talking to her about her school, her teachers and friends with great zest.
Anya woke up with a headache. The room was lit with light from outside the window indicating that it was morning. Her hand immediately reached for the phone. There were no calls or messages from Ronan. There was however a message from the boutique informing her that her wedding gown was ready for delivery. She sighed at the message and got up feeling light headed. She knew getting her mind off all this stress was the only thing that will help her with the headache and with that thought in mind, she decided to go to work. She had applied for leave and it was her day off but one of the perks of being in a superior position was that no one questioned her presence. She dragged her feet off the ground and forced herself into the bathroom. After a relaxing bath, she walked out and found Emily sitting on her bed with the morning daily in her h
Anya woke up feeling sore between her legs. A conscious pain pressed against her chest as she tried to move. A slight movement triggered a staggering amount of pain through her thighs. Her whole body ached but her heart relished every bit of the pain for it was a sign of a new beginning, a new direction, a new purpose and she felt fresh all the same. She took a deep breath for she knew it was her first since the start of a new life as she turned her head to her side hoping to see Ronan probably sleeping but the bed was empty. Her head immediately shot up as her eyes scanned the room for him but the sound of wind rustling against the curtains was the only thing she could hear. She tried calling his name but her lips were dry and her throat was parched. She couldn't help but smile
"I'm so happy for you both, Ann." Victoria said for what appeared to be the hundredth time to Anya. Victoria had arrived that morning and would not stop expressing how happy she was for them. She also told her how deeply disappointed she was that she didn't have much time to plan anything or call anyone properly. Her emotions could only be suppressed when they told her of the proper wedding that may happen in the future but she would still not stop conveying her disdain at the rushed up wedding. That didn't stop her from bringing the best dress for her daughter in law to be. The choice of a dress itself was left to Anya's decision and she desired for a saree because she knew quite well from experience that Victoria would bring her something that she liked.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" Anya spoke up breaking the silence as they drove back home."You know why." His brows were puckered up as he looked straight ahead. She wondered why he looked so upset all of a sudden. Could it be because she said that they couldn't get married the very next day?"I don't know why!" She exclaimed quite loudly. He stopped the car instantly, sighing as he leaned onto the wheel and that's when she realised something was really bothering him."What's wrong Ronan? Are you not feeling well?" She asked pressing her palm against his forehead as she felt his temperature. He felt so cold."Tomorrow's my real birthday, Anya." He said taking her hand from his head and pressed it over his lips.
"Wha- what?" She gasped as she closed her palm tightly to escape the cold shiver that froze her hand but what he did later made the beats of her heart drum against her ears like the blaring sound of an horn.He knelt in front of her and took her hands in his. His hands were colder than hers and made her breath hitch. She couldn't take all the weight that was drowning her down and she found herself kneeling along with him."I know its too soon. I know that I don't even know your full name and honestly it doesn't matter because I'm here to offer you mine. I want my name to be yours, my house to be yours, my children to be yours, my happiness and sadness to be yours because I don't think I can do this alone, Anya. Ever since Nat left me, I stopped believing in relationships, marriages or love." He said brushing her cheek with her hand as a
"What's this?" Anya shot her head back and found Ronan standing by the door holding a cover which she recognised immediately. She ran over to him almost instantaneously and grabbed it from him."I threw it in the dustbin." She eyed him warily as a mixture of embarrassment and anger rose up her throat."That's where I found it and I'm in complete shock now." He said wide eyed."What's there to be shocked about? I'm a perfectly able woman." She nudged him hard as her face constricted and he laughed. During other times, his laugh sounded therapeutic while now it was more annoying than ever."That's not what I mean. I'm shocked because I didn't hear a single complain of a cramp or uneasiness nor did I see you flinch during any part of the

"Yes, I'm sure buying more than fifty flower pots in a day to impress Peter is nothing." Tash chuckled."What?" Anya laughed in surprise."I'm still holding on to my previous statement. It's nothing. I only bought them as a token of apology for my behaviour at his house the other day." Jess said in a disappointed tone."Well, how's he taking it?" Anya enquired as her mind was still processing the new information."Not well. He said it was not necessary as he doesn't care much about what she thinks. He kind of shoved it in her face by telling her that not even a million flower pots would open his heart for another woman. Ever." Emily said wryly stressing on the last syllable."Well, that's pretty harsh." Anya confessed as she tried to put on the top over her head."
"Morning, Moonlight." Ronan's voice sweeped gently through her ears waking her up. He was busy pushing the curtains to the sides when she peaked through her eyelids.Anya squeezed her eyes shut as the light was too strong for her sleepy eyes to adjust. "Moonlight?" A yawn escaped her lips as she tried to straighten up."I bet you haven't heard that before!" He said excited jumping onto the bed and suddenly insecurities that she wasn't even aware of presented themself before her making her squirm in the bed. She had just woken up and there were high chances of her hair looking like a forest which seemed like the least of her worries when she thought about her bad breath and crusty eyes. She couldn't help but wonder how cleaned and fresh he looked with his wet hair. She tried her best to stay at a distance from him as she slowly reached for her eyes to clean the crust
