Arya had chatted with her mother about the treatment and its possible consequences. Mirella was willing to fight for her daughter, and her future grandchild.

"I feel I have failed you, I'm sorry I let your father stay… I just wanted to see him," Mirella hones in with a squeezed heart.

"Never mind mother, what's done is done," replies Arya, wanting to settle that matter. "Which reminds me…"

The young woman stands up and walks to her dresser, rummages through her clothes, and doesn't feel the sock with the money in it. She breaks out in a cold sweat and feels as if the floor at her feet is opening up.

"Damn…" she mutters in despair, emptying everything on the floor. "It's gone, Mom... the treatment money is gone."
