The penthouse

Chapter 16.

.The ride to the penthouse was in silent contemplation. Now and then, you would hear a few sounds of sniffling from either party.

Olivia sniffs in fright, while Austin sniffs in anger. The two sit down on the couch and hold each other's hands.

“It's ok,” Austin says softly. “I'm here for you.”

Austin looks up at her, her eyes watering. She turns away from him and covers her face with her hands.

“You're crying,” Austin observes.

She takes off one hand to wipe her eyes.

“What happened back there at the clubhouse, Olivia asked

Austin sighed, he hated the state Olivia is in right now, she was happy a few hours ago, and he loved it. But what happened made her completely forget about that happiness; now all she could do was cry.

“I'm sorry, Liv, I just…”

She nods. Her shoulders shake slightly as she cries.

“Who are they, who are you, Olivia asked….”
