Chapter 209 Emotional Blackmail

Gwyneth scoffed after she heard the brief pause from the phone. She hung up without waiting for her father's response. She had a hard time believing that Gaspard would play this game with her, given the situation.

Gaspard was still in a daze in the meantime. He was taken aback when the call was cut off. He felt as though he had been slapped in the face when he thought back to Gwyneth's attitude on the phone. He harbored resentment when he heard this. He exclaimed indignantly, "Ingrate!"

At this time, Bianca walked into the room. She wore a complex expression, something between anger and sarcasm. She crossed her arms and said, "Things don't seem to be going well."

Gaspard cast a glance at Bianca when he heard this. He broodingly sat on the bed, not saying a word.

The two remained silent for a while. After Gaspard's mood improved a little, Bianca said, "She is your daughter, and she can't deny it no matter what."

"What are you trying to say?" Gaspard asked in an exhausted voice.
