The following day, Judy was preparing herself backstage at the piano competition venue. However, it was less about preparing and more about enjoying the attention of the many men surrounding her. Her background and appearance made it nearly impossible for her not to be noticed. Besides, she reveled in being surrounded by admirers, even though she did not care for any of them. As she finished applying her makeup, she caught a glimpse of a familiar figure in the corner of her eye. She immediately shook off the men around her and strode forward.

"Liam, you really came."

To Judy's knowledge, Liam rarely attended such events. But, now that he was here, it must be for her sake. She was ecstatic, not only because she held a special place in Liam's heart but also because she was sure to win the competition with him present. This international piano competition was highly regarded in the industry, and winning it would be akin to taking a significant step forward in high society. Eager to take advantage of the situation, she was about to get close to Liam when unexpectedly, Gwyneth pushed open the door and entered. Judy almost thought she had seen wrong, wondering why that woman would come here. As far as she knew, Gwyneth had never learned to play the piano, let alone enter a competition. Glancing at Liam, she sneered in her heart and approached Gwyneth with a warm smile.

"Gwyneth, I know you must be upset about your divorce, but there is no need to demean yourself like this." She intentionally stressed the word "demean" and smirked as people around her began to gather.

However, Gwyneth's laughter was even more unrestrained than Judy's. "It seems that everything revolves around men in your world, doesn't it?" Gwyneth looked around with a raised eyebrow. "I had no idea you were so desperate to get married. It's a pity that no one wants to marry you, though."

"Gwyneth!"

"Yes, sister. I'm here."

Judy's face flushed with anger. "What are you so smug about? Do you even understand the piano? I suggest you leave now, or else the person who will be humiliated is... come back here!"

Gwyneth had no interest in listening to Judy's incessant chatter. Without waiting for her to finish, she turned around and left the backstage area, leaving Judy behind, shouting like a ridiculous clown.

Liam, who had been standing on the side, was now merely an observer. Watching Gwyneth's retreating figure and recalling her commanding presence just moments ago, he could not help but smile. 'What an interesting young woman.'

As the competition was about to begin, all the contestants were gathered on stage. At this moment, Judy stood among the crowd, trying to locate Gwyneth to find out her performance order. She thought that no matter which performance order Gwyneth had, winning against her would be a piece of cake. But after searching for a while without seeing Gwyneth, Judy sneered. 'She must have come to her senses and decided to leave.'

"I hereby announce the commencement of this piano competition."

The stage lights came on as the host's voice echoed through the venue. Judy's eyes widened in shock when she saw a familiar figure among the judges.

In their three years of marriage, he could not recall a single time when she had practiced the piano."Please welcome our next contestant, Judy."Upon hearing the host's words, Judy's heart trembled. She gritted her teeth, her eyes blazing with anger as she stared at Gwyneth. 'How dare this woman look down on me?' Despite Liam's presence in the guest area, she steeled herself and walked onto the main stage, determined to win his favor during this performance. Hearing the cheers from the audience, Judy forced a smile that looked more painful than tears.Gwyneth, sitting at the judges' table, could not help but laugh out loud at the scene. As expected, Judy made two mistakes during her performance, and her rhythm was a complete mess. Gwyneth frowned, then spoke softly. "That's enough,

'Gwyneth? Could it be that all of my efforts were misguided?' Liam pondered with mixed emotions as he returned to the venue after hanging up the phone. As the music ended, Gwyneth's fingertips slid off the piano keys. Though she had not wanted to take the stage, every moment spent immersed in the music had been a pleasure. As thunderous applause erupted from the audience, a smile graced the corner of her lips. She rose and bowed gracefully at a ninety-degree angle to the audience. As she straightened, her eyes met Liam's in the guest seats. Her smile shifted ever so slightly, and her brow raised with a hint of provocation."Now the stage can be returned to the contestants." Seeing the host nodding hastily, Gwyneth chuckled and stepped down, ignoring Judy entirely. Two hours later, the competition results were announced, and Judy lost. The outcome was not too difficult to explain; it was merely a matter of skill. But what was more serious was Judy's behavior of publicly challenging a

Unexpectedly, Gwyneth bumped into Judy just around the corner. 'What a small world,' she thought.Judy probably had not expected to run into Gwyneth either, and the anger from the competition immediately resurfaced. "Gwyneth! What is the meaning of this? Did you know I was competing and deliberately set me up in front of all those people?" Her emotions surged, and she took a step forward. "You divorced Liam, and now you're jealous? Are you trying to humiliate me in front of him?"These accusatory questions left Gwyneth at a loss for words. She did not know how to respond when Judy added drama to the situation and even displayed hints of paranoia. Gwyneth sighed helplessly, thinking to herself, 'If I can't confront it head-on, I might as well dodge the bullet.' As she turned to leave, Judy grabbed her arm, her eyes filled with tears, but she was looking past Gwyneth."Liam, come and settle this. She initially planned to return to her apartment, but with all her belongings still at the Luther residence, she reluctantly changed her destination. However, upon reaching the mansion's entrance, she found herself blocked. Surrounded by journalists both inside and out, she turned to leave but was caught in the throng."Gwyneth, is it true that you and Liam have divorced?""Will AMC Group and Luther Corporation collaborate in the future?""Do you have anything to say about Liam recently accompanying Miss Lisle at the hospital?"As the barrage of questions rained down, Gwyneth felt overwhelmed. Then, realizing that Liam would be returning soon, she panicked. "Regarding my relationship with Liam, we will hold a press conference to answer all your questions in a few days." Then, after instructing the doctor to keep a close watch on her, he stepped out of the hospital room and called Gwyneth.Gwyneth's mood was already less than pleasant due to the ambiguous photo. To make matters worse, she received a call from the person responsible, though who that person truly was remained a matter of debate. She rolled her eyes and answered, "What do you want?"Since disembarking from the plane the day before, Liam had not seen Gwyneth. Although they lived in the same mansion, given their current relationship, he did not feel it was appropriate to disturb her. Remembering the last couple of days they had spent together, Liam's eyes softened as soon as the call connected."I'm at the hospital."Even if she did not want to admit it, Gwyneth's heartbeat quickened at the mention of the word 'hospital.' At the hospital, near the revolving door entrance, Gwyneth gritted her teeth, her wrist held firmly by someone. She had tried to come up with an excuse to escape Liam by saying she needed to go to the locker room to change out of her white coat. But she had not expected that she could not avoid him even after leaving through a side door. It made her wonder just how many spies Liam had placed throughout the hospital."What on earth do you want?" Frustrated, Gwyneth turned to face the expressionless man. The hospital was bustling, and many people had already cast curious glances in their way. 'He may have no shame, but I still do.'"I told you I want to thank you by having a meal together," Liam replied calmly, feeling her cool skin against his palm, somewhat reluctant to let go."Mr. Luther, your former lover is recovering well and is in a condition where she can be discharged." Gwyneth raised an eyebrow, her voice carrying a suggestive tone."So?""So, can you stop clinging to me?

Gwyneth could not quite understand Liam's fuss over such a trivial matter. She could not comprehend why a simple plate of spaghetti would require so much commotion, even if he had truly lost his sense of taste. She sat on the couch, watching the unfinished soap opera from the day before. Recalling how Liam had instructed his assistant to take note of the steps and method for making spaghetti, she could not help but find it amusing. At that moment, the mansion's front door was suddenly met with a series of knocks. Watching the maid hastily open the door, Gwyneth furrowed her brow. 'I finally took a day off for myself, and someone still comes to disturb me?' She paused the soap opera on the television and stood up, only to see Elizabeth walking in."Hello, Ms. Glen."Hearing Elizabeth's insincere greeting, Gwyneth sat back down. She responded with a soft acknowledgment, considering it an adequate reply."Miss Lisle, please have a seat. I'll bring you some washed fruits to eat. It ha

Although it was somewhat expected, Gwyneth could not help but laugh when she heard the maid confront her like that. "Mary, do you think this is the appropriate attitude and status for speaking to me?" Sighing inwardly, Gwyneth turned off the television. All she wanted was to relax and watch a soap opera, but it had become such a difficult task. Standing up, she positioned herself in front of Elizabeth and Mary, examining their appearances as her expression gradually grew cold.Realizing that her previous attitude was inappropriate, Mary slightly restrained herself. "Regardless, Miss Lisle is a guest. No matter what, Madam, you shouldn't do such a thing.""You just addressed me as 'Madam,' correct?" Gwyneth crossed her arms, speaking softly as she looked at the two women before her. She had no intention of explaining herself regarding the baseless accusations, but she would not let it slide either. At this question, Mary hesitated while Elizabeth secretly clenched her teeth. After a restful night, Gwyneth returned to Greer College to meet up with Willa… Willa, for one, had placed high value on their meeting, to the point where she had postponed a class just so that they could discuss things without any interruption. Stirring her coffee, Willa chuckled as she muttered, “So, before moving on, let me apologize if I came off as snobbish the first time we met… I just have high standards since I want my work to be loved by many, you know? With that out of the way, let’s talk about the collaboration… I admit I like the plot, but… There are several conditions that you need to think about before we can proceed.” Nodding in response, Gwyneth found herself surprised that her demands weren’t outrageous at all. In fact, Gwyneth would’ve followed those principles even if Willa hadn’t brought them up! Though this was nothing to Gwyneth, it meant the world to Willa.
