Chapter 106 I Regret It

"Were you waiting for me?" Gwyneth inquired as she set her coat on the sofa.

After a full day of running around, even a robot would feel exhausted, never mind her worn-out body and soul. All she wanted to do was return to her room, take a hot bath, and collapse onto her bed.

Given Liam's response, she was unable to leave right away because he had something to say. She owed him some gratitude because he had urgently come to her rescue today.

"How are you feeling? I didn't check if you were okay because the fishing port was crowded and chaotic," Liam said as he turned to face Gwyneth.

He stared at her, and his eyes were filled with worry.

"I'm fine, really. I don't even need a band-aid because these are just scratches," Gwyneth shrugged and spoke in a relaxed tone.

She swallowed the questions, that were on the tip of her tongue, about how Liam had found her and how he was feeling. They seemed redundant now.
