The weather had picked up by the time Riona’s classes were over, she wasn’t out after ten minutes and he already suspected she wasn’t inside. He caught sight of May batting her lashes while rolling her hair around her finger and forcing a laugh at whatever Jade spinner said but Riona was not with her.

a smile crept up to his face while he drove his fingers into his red hair, combing it off his face. He would have been surprised if she did as he said and came to find him after her class.

“Hey man, still up for tonight?”

Lennox turned to look at Dane, one of his buddies who patted him on the back as they engaged in a bro hug. He was a little disappointed with Riona for leaving but that just gave him an excuse to show up at her place later on. He remembered following her in the shadows just to find out where she lives.

He couldn’t explain his interest in his masked beauty, at first she was just a job for him but there was just something that made him keep coming back

"Did you sleep at all yesterday?" Riona's eyes were red and she had visible bags under her eyes since she couldn't get a wink of sleep after Lennox showed up at her place right after invading her dream. She now saw random images of them together in her head and she had been avoiding him the best she could. "I was just studying and lost track of time." "Wow, Rinrin you should really take it easy once in a while." Riona nodded but she didn't even hear what May had said. They both were heading to get coffee at their favorite shop but Riona was stalling just to avoid running into Lennox sooner. She had three lectures scheduled which she couldn't afford to miss even when she really wanted to. "Riona? Riona," May called out for her before she snapped out of her thoughts. She looked up at May who was a little taller than her, she noticed that she had stopped walking just at the entrance of the store. "Shit, sorry I..." "Don't lie to me Rin, tell me wh

"I am laying you off the cross missions from now on," "What? Come on Mia!" Marcus was more than happy when he reported every detail of their mission to Mia which had her practically smoking with anger. "No, you come on! are you crazy Riona! It's my job to take care of you and everyone else but when you never listen how do you expect me to do that." Mia exploded Riona went quiet, she had never experienced Mia having an outburst since she always seemed to be in control no matter what. "Something pulled me closer, I don't know why but I..." "You are to go home and remain there for the rest of the week," Mia said before turning to walk off. "I can't, I have classes and_" "That is an order," Mia commanded while she turned and faced Riona. There was a glint in Mia's eyes that had Riona moving back. She bit her lips hard to stop herself from voicing her thoughts before nodding to Mia. • The Masked Luna   Complicated

Riona could hear a sharp ringing in her ear as she staired awake, she winced as she could still feel the throbbing pain from the kick that the cross gave her on her face. She cursed at them, promising herself to get that back. She managed to open her eyes but it was no use since she could see nothing, they had blindfolded her and when she tested out her hands, she was restrained there and at her feet too. Why would they capture her if they wanted to kill her? Then she could hear the clicking of heels, the sound getting louder as the person headed for her. She had a sense of Deja Vu, somehow she felt like this had happened before but her memory was too hazy to give her any clue. "Who are you?" She found herself asking. Her voice was hoarse and her mouth dry, how long had she been out? "You want to know me when you don't even know you" A woman spoke just above her. She frowned at the statement, they knew who she was? The feeling of not knowing never

  • The Masked Luna   Nix

Lennox growled, low and menacing with a hidden promise of destruction while his fist punched holes in the wall. Just a few minutes from going insane. Nix flinched every time his hand connected with the wall, just Imagining an actual person in the wall's place as Lennox probably was. Doesn't that hurt? He is really mad. She gulped hard, what do I do? "Uhm... L-" "Don't say anything Nix, just don't." He gave the wall one last hard punch that rocked it. Yikes! Then he calmed down just a fraction enough to take a seat with his hand holding his head. But he was obviously still tense with his stiff body. Of course, he isn't even hurt by that. Nix watched him vent since he saw them drag Riona's unconscious body into the white room and he was not happy, not happy? Understatement. I just watched him punch a wall for like an hour. That was his mate? You are cruel author and the poor wall is just... Wow. What do I even say to him? "This was not supposed to hap

"Now tell me who you are?" "Nix," she said immediately. Riona just stood still half tempted to clean up the mess in the room, how did she manage to live here? Instead, she waited with her gaze on Nix for her to continue, she didn't. "You say that like I am supposed to know you." "Uhh... I am a god," She said, sounding more like a suggestion. Nix frowned at the blank stare Riona was giving her. Of course, she doesn't believe me, maybe I should have put on my dead serious face. "A god." "Yes, Nix the all-knowing," She spoke proudly. Nothing put a dent in Riona's blank look of disbelief. You could at least laugh instead Of looking at me like that. With a sigh, Nix got up from the bed and did the thing. In a blink of an eye, the room transformed from a messy pig style to a blank white canvas. Riona's expression veered to that of surprise with her mouth slightly open and her eyes looking everywhere, It's plain white there is nothing to look at

When he offered to carry her, she flat-out denied him and now he was being an ass, taking long strides she couldn't keep up with just to make her ask for his help but he had no idea the extent of her pride. After the incident of the last time, they stuck to lower ground, following a clear path. • The Masked Luna   Just us - part two

Riona cried out at the sight of the hot bubbling water, almost tripping in her mission to pull off her shoes. Freed of her shoes, she took eager steps forward, standing on one foot and then putting the other down to test the waters. She paused when her hand moved, about to start on the button fly of her pants. Her gaze shifted behind her to find him watching her with a gleam of expectation in his eyes. “You will be leaving right now.” “I said I would help you.” “I don't need help, especially from you, I know how to bathe myself.” “But you’re tired and hurt. Why not let me help? Let me take care of you.” She glared daggers at him. "I hurt my leg not my hand, now fuck off." "Why fight this?" “Either you leave or I will.” “Fine.” He shrugged. “I will leave because I can't have you not bathing and stinking up the place. Call me if you need me.” Stink? How could he even say that? She sniffed around her just to make sure. That bastard. She knew h

  • The Masked Luna   Just us

Riona groaned with a beaming grin resting on her face. She had the best dream ever although she could never openly admit it, a forbidden dream that felt like she had a taste of heaven in that moment of pure bliss. She opened her eyes and was met with dark Stone walls, a cave? It didn't matter since she felt good well until she felt the cold breeze twinkling her body and causing goosebumps to erupt as she shivered. Oh no! Her gaze moved down and for some reason she was completely naked, the smile she had on dropped into a hard frown. Why am I naked? Her mind panicked when she couldn't formulate any other answer except one and how she wished she was wrong or probably having a nightmare. Unfortunately, she knew that her so-called dream was not a dream, she really threw herself at Lennox and then slept with him. Her hands flew to her mouth, covering her gasp. What was I thinking? Right, I wasn't. "You are finally awake." Out of all the times to arrive, he

Riona opened her eyes, her breath short and her body on fire with pure desire. She brought her hand down to roam her body and she shuddered at the sensation. "You are awake!" The sound of Lennox's dark voice fueled her need and an involuntary moan escaped her. She couldn't start to explain what exactly was happening but her mind was foggy and her body craved release. "Help me..." She whimpered in a barely audible voice. Lennox was by her side in a matter of seconds, worry clouding his expression then confusion. Her eyes were watering and she looked to be in pain as she grasped his hand and pulled it to her body. "Touch me... Please." "What?" He breathed out. Her request was impossible to reject but a part of him knew she wasn't in her right mind and she would hate him even more if he actually did. Riona groaned as her body throbbed and she couldn't stop herself anymore. She pushed Lennox back to the ground and straddled his waist. She planned to
