Chapter Four
Dylan POV
The angry sound of brushing and scrubbing yanked me from the edges of sleep. I groaned, rolling over, but the noise continued, persistent and loud. Sitting up, I rubbed my eyes, feeling the weight of exhaustion still clinging to my body. I stretched and yawned, trying to shake off the grogginess, then stood and walked to the window. Pulling the curtains apart, I let the warm sunlight spill into the room, hoping it would clear my head.
But the peace of the morning was shattered by that relentless scrubbing sound. Who the hell was making such a racket at this hour? I could feel my annoyance growing with every step I took toward the noise. My muscles tensed, ready to confront whoever dared to disturb my rest.
I followed the sound down the hallway and pushed open the bathroom door. And then I stopped short, the words dying on my tongue.
Sibel.
There she was, kneeling beside the toilet with a brush in hand, scrubbing the porcelain with a fierce determination. I stared, dumbfounded. Sibel, our alpha, reduced to cleaning toilets? I’d never seen her like this. I didn't know what to make of it.
“What are you doing, Sibel?” The words came out more accusatory than I intended.
Her head snapped up, and her gaze met mine. Her eyes narrowed, sharp as daggers. "Why are you staring at me like that, Dylan?"
I tried to focus on the tools in her hands, but my attention shifted quickly to her face. My breath caught in my throat as I noticed her cheeks—red, swollen, with the clear imprint of a hand on her skin. Someone had slapped her, hard.
“Who did this to you, Sibel?” I asked, my voice low, barely concealing the anger simmering beneath. “Who slapped you? And what the hell are you doing in the male room?”
She laughed, but it was a brittle sound, almost mocking. "It was Beta Leo," she replied, matter-of-factly. "But don’t worry, I’ll be fine. He assigned me toilet-cleaning duty as punishment."
A surge of fury coursed through me at the mention of Leo’s name. “This isn’t something to laugh about, Sibel. You can’t just brush off the hurt like it’s a joke.”
Her smile faltered, replaced by a steely determination. "If pretending everything is okay can help me tackle the problems we’re facing, then I have nothing to lose. Sometimes, a little pretense can be a powerful tool."
I knew her too well. I could see the mask she wore, hiding the pain, pretending it didn’t hurt. But I couldn’t understand why Leo would behave this way. “Beta Leo?” I repeated, my disbelief turning into anger. “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” she nodded, her eyes blazing with conviction. "I'm just as shocked as you are. But behind that calm exterior, he's a monster."
My brows furrowed. “What do you mean?”
She took a deep breath, her voice rushing out in a torrent of words. “The killings, the bullying of omegas... it’s them. They're behind it all. They've been terrorizing our pack, hiding in plain sight.”
A chill ran down my spine. Could it be true? Was Leo—one of our own—behind the cruelty plaguing our pack?
“Sibel, this game you’re playing is dangerous. If everything you say is true, I’ll have to settle the score between the betas. I can’t just stand by and watch this continue.”
I wanted to march straight to Leo and demand answers, but Sibel grabbed my arm, her grip firm. "Wait. You can’t reveal your identity yet. You need to stay low. If Leo and the others find out you’re onto them, they’ll stop at nothing to silence you."
I hesitated. Every part of me screamed for justice, but I couldn’t ignore her warning. “What do you suggest I do, then?”
She explained, her voice steady, yet filled with a deep frustration. "The omega group is subjected to severe discrimination. They’re denied basic rights, their voices are silenced. But that’s not the worst of it. The management turns a blind eye to the laws meant to protect us. It’s as if they think omegas are less than nothing."
“What can I do to help?” I asked, feeling a surge of loyalty toward her. "I'll do whatever you need, Sibel."
“Uncover the truth,” she said, her voice like iron. “Investigate every lead, every hint, every rumor. I want to know who’s behind this, who’s giving the orders, and who’s profiting from the suffering of our omegas.”
"I promise you," I vowed, "I’ll get to the bottom of this. I’ll leave no stone unturned. We’ll bring those responsible to justice. You have my word."
She nodded, but there was a caution in her eyes. “Now, you need to leave before anyone notices us talking. We can’t risk compromising our plans.”
My heart tightened at the thought of her alone, enduring all of this for the sake of truth. “Sibel, you know how much I care for you. I don’t want to see you get hurt.”
For a moment, our eyes locked, and it felt like the world around us disappeared. But she blinked, breaking the connection. "Stop worrying, Dylan. I’m not one to back down easily."
I nodded. “Just take care of yourself. I'll be ready whenever you call."
"Go now," she urged, her voice firm. "We can't afford to draw any attention to ourselves."
I hesitated, glancing back at her one last time before turning to leave, my heart heavy with determination and a fire burning within.

Cara POV
I dive my fingers over Leo's chest, feeling the taut muscles beneath his skin, enjoying the way his breath quickens at my touch. I straddle him, settling myself comfortably on top of him. His eyes are half-lidded, filled with that familiar hunger I’ve come to relish. I lean down, my lips brushing his ear, and he shivers.
“How did the meeting go, my darling?” I whisper, my teeth grazing his earlobe. I can feel his body respond, his muscles tightening, a groan escaping his lips.
“I praised you in front of everyone,” he mutters, his voice thick with desire. Exactly what I wanted to hear. A smile curls on my lips.
“That’s perfect,” I purr, my lips tracing the curve of his ear. I nibble harder, and he moans, his hands gripping my hips tighter. Every sound he makes, every little gasp, is another reminder of the control I have over him.
He continues, “Since I spoke highly of you at the meeting, the alpha said he will promote you very soon.”
I can't help but grin at the news. "Good boy," I say, rewarding him with a deep, demanding kiss. His moan vibrates against my lips, and I revel in the power I feel. This is just the beginning. I want more—more influence, more control, more of everything this pack has to offer.
I break the kiss, my hands moving lower, pulling at his trousers. I can feel the urgency in him, the way he arches toward me, desperate for more. His need makes him easy to manipulate, and I plan to keep it that way.
I stroke him, feeling him grow harder in my hand, and I can't resist a triumphant smile. "You’ll make sure they follow through with that promotion, won’t you?" I murmur, positioning myself above him, ready to take what I want.
“Yes,” he gasps, as I lower myself onto him, feeling the heat of him filling me. His groans grow louder, and I know I have him exactly where I want him—under me, at my mercy, willing to do whatever I ask.
Leo thinks this is just a moment of passion, but to me, it’s so much more. It's a step towards my ambitions, a move in the game I’m determined to win. And with each movement, each gasp of pleasure, I feel myself getting closer to what I truly desire.
Sibel’s POVDylan had already left some minutes ago. I hoped he would be able to investigate the higher-ups, the ones who were doing the control, the ones who were bullying the weakest, the omegas. The investigation must be conducted in the, not to allow anybody to suspect. As a skilled and agile warrior, I was the type of person to adapt to any situation given the circumstances. However, I had never cleaned a toilet before, and the sudden task had left me feeling drained. My waist ached from the strenuous scrubbing, and I stood up to stretch, trying to alleviate the discomfort. As I turned to arch my back, I caught sight of Jolie standing in the doorway, her presence sudden and unexpected."I'm sorry for scaring you, Sibel," Jolie said, her voice softening as she approached me. I drop the brush, and then clean my sweat with the back of my palm, my expression icy, and I asked her coldly, "What are you doing here?" Jolie's eyes locked onto mine, her gaze filled with concern."I came bec
Sibel's POVMy short stay here as been completely baffling, and learning about the mistratement of omega's have left me in shock.I struggle to comprehend the extent of this mistreatment and how many innocent lives have been affected by such cruelty. The sheer number of victims and perpetrators is shocking, and I find myself questioning everything. The fact that I've already fallen prey to Cara's bullying, and Beta Leo, whom I thought was a good person, is involved, is a harsh reality I'm still grappling with.My mind reels as I try to make sense of of the cycle of hurts, and abuse and I wonder how it is allowed to happen in this kind of environment.I realized that these atrocities had been occurring in the dark, hidden from the higher authorities. I felt a surge of gratitude towards the moon goddess for guiding me to this place, for leading me to lay low and observe, unknowingly. It was as if fate had brought me here to uncover the secrets that lay hidden beneath the surface. I could
Sibel’s POV"'If you don't,' Cara threatened, her voice dripping with malice. But Jolie stood her ground, her eyes flashing with defiance. 'We won't let you humiliate us, Cara,' she said, her voice firm.'We're not the ones who stole your precious shoes. Why can't you get that through your head?' I added, my frustration boiling over.'We weren't even around today. You were there when Beta Leo sent me to wash and scrub the toilets, remember? When would I have had the time to steal from you?' I demanded, my hands on my hips. 'You're just trying to find an excuse to torment us, but it won't work. We won't be bullied into confessing to something we didn't do.'"Cara's face turned red with rage as I continued to defend myself. She snarled, her eyes blazing with fury, and snatched up the whip that had slipped from her grasp. With a swift motion, she threw it at me, intent on striking me down. But Jolie flung herself at me, wrapping her arms around me in a protective embrace. The whip bit dee
Sibel’s POVI can never forget that day. The day everything fell apart. The day I lost my father—the strongest, most courageous alpha I'd ever known. He was the alpha son of our original pack. Everyone believed he would become a great leader, and he seemed destined for it. His strength, his resolve, his wisdom—they all spoke of the alpha he would one day become. But life has a way of twisting fate. It was during a conflict between packs that he met her—my mother. She was a fierce, beautiful omega from a rival pack, and their love shouldn't have been possible. Yet, somehow, it was.I still don't know how they managed it, but they fell for each other in the middle of all that chaos. Their love was a defiance against the rules that governed our world. And they left everything behind—his birthright, her home—just to build a new life together, away from the politics and the bloodshed. For a time, they were happy. We were happy. A small village became our refuge, far from the packs that had
Sibel’s POVPaul's stutter worsened, his voice trembling as he struggled to comprehend what was happening. "W-who are you, Sibel? W-what's going on?""You see it now, don’t you? You’re finally seeing the real me."The way Paul stuttered made it clear... he had finally recognized me. Relief and happiness surged through me, knowing that at last, he saw me for who I truly was. After all this time, he acknowledged my true identity."Now that the truth is out, you can see who I really am, can’t you?" I said, my newfound confidence lifting me tall. I held my head high, ready to accept his acknowledgment. But then, in a sudden and unexpected shift, Paul’s voice changed, and he burst out laughing. "You think I’m a fool? Are you seriously trying to dupe me? Do you take me for a brainless, gullible dimwit?" His words caught me off guard, and surprise washed over me."Cursing you is nothing," he sneered. "You’re not even worth shouting at." Beta Paul’s voice took on a new edge, dripping with disd
Dylan’s POVI heard a knock on my office door. "Come in," I called out, not bothering to look up from the paperwork strewn across my desk. The door creaked open, and a woman entered with a polite smile. She held up a file in her hand. "The file you've been asking for is right here. Everything you need is inside," she said.I nodded, distracted. "Okay, thank you." She placed the file on the table, gave a quick nod, and slipped out, closing the door behind her. I barely noticed her leave, too caught up in the storm of thoughts swirling in my head. All day, I’d been buried in trying to uncover the truth, to find out who was behind the vicious rumors about the omega killings. I grabbed the file, opening it with a flick of my wrist, eager to find a clue — any clue. But after hours of reading, my eyes scanning every line, every detail, all I found was frustration. Nothing in this file was of any help. Not a single lead. Nothing useful. The frustration boiled over, and I slammed my fist on th
Sibel’s POVI was stunned when Jolie falsely accused me of pushing Charles, even though everyone saw the guards knock him unconscious. To make matters worse, Paul had manipulated Jolie into lying, telling her to blame me for the incident so he could take Charles to the hospital. It hurt deeply; I never expected Jolie to betray me like this, especially since I considered her a friend."Please forgive me, Sibel," Jolie begged, her voice filled with remorse. My eyes narrowed, the pain and anger still raw. "Why did you lie about me, Jolie? What could possibly make you think that was okay?"Jolie's face crumpled, and she whispered, "I was afraid... and Paul took advantage of that fear. I know I let you down, and I'm deeply sorry."Jolie cried and apologized to me. "Paul forced me to lie! He made me choose between my son's life and blaming you. If you were a mother, what would you do? I'd do anything to save my son. Please forgive me, Sibel. I had to take him to the hospital, and I was trapp
Dylan’s POVI knew I had to think fast, or my chance to enter the club and gather the information I needed would slip away. I quickly scanned the area, taking in the row of people waiting to enter. A plan began to form in my mind. I casually made my way to the end of the line, pretending to belong, and struck up a conversation with a group of people who seemed friendly. After a few minutes of chatting, I learned that one of them had an extra pass and was willing to sell it to me. I quickly made the purchase and returned to the entrance, pass in hand. The security guards barely gave me a second glance as I confidently walked into the club, my heart racing. I had finally gained access to the inner place of the higher-ups, and I was determined to uncover their secrets. As I entered the club, I was immediately struck by the opulence that surrounded me. The dimly lit room was filled with lavish decorations, and the air was filled with the smell of expensive perfume and cigar smoke. I made m
Dylan’s POVWe were almost at the border. Just a few more steps, and we’d be back on safe ground, or so I thought. The night was quiet, too quiet, and then, out of nowhere, they came... soldiers, a whole group of them, bursting out of the shadows. Theybwere with weapons and they surround us before we even knew what was happening."Don't move!" one of them barked, his voice hard andnut said it cleared enough for us to hear. I froze for just a second, my mind racing. But then instinct kicked in, and I stepped in front of Sibel, putting her behind me where she’d be safe. I could feel her hand clutching my shirt, and I could tell she was as tense as I was.I raised my hands, not surrendering, just ready. Ready to fight if it came down to it. “Who are you?” I called out, my voice steady, though inside, I was on edge. “Let us go!”One of the soldiers, the one who seemed to be in charge, stepped forward. He took his time, like he wanted me to see him coming. His face was hard... With no expr
Sibel’s POVSilas was nothing like Beta Ben. The second I met him, I knew it. Beta Ben followed every word Alpha Lionel said, not a single doubt in him, but Silas? He was different. There was something fierce about him, a fire that felt almost dangerous. You could tell just by looking at him... he was angry. Angry with the way things were, the way people were suffering under Alpha Lionel’s rule. He looked like someone ready to stand up and fight, not just sit back and follow orders. We sat down across from him, and I could see the frustration on his face. It was like he was holding back something he wanted to shout out loud but couldn’t. He spoke low, his voice filled with emotion.“Omegas are getting bullied,” he said, shaking his head. “People are dying. No one’s safe, not with the way things are going now.”I listened, feeling the pain in his voice, but also the anger. And honestly, I felt it too. I knew how bad things had gotten, knew that the weak were suffering, and it didn’t si
Dylan’s POVSmith looked at us, sighing as if he’d expected all the questions we were throwing his way. After a pause, he leaned in and shared an information... It was as if it was our last hope. “There’s someone who might be able to help you,” he said. “A beta named Silas. He has a real heart for his people. They trust him, and Alpha Lionel has a bit of respect for him too.”Sibel and I exchanged glances, a glimmer of hope flickering between us. If there was even a small chance Silas could lend us a hand, we had to try. With Smith’s guidance, we set out to find this Beta Silas. After a short while, we reached a modest but well-kept house on the outskirts of the pack’s main territory. Smith knocked, and soon enough, a young man opened the door. He looked a few years younger than Beta Ben, his sharp features softened by a steady and thoughtful expression.“This is Beta Silas,” Smith introduced, then added with a respectful nod, “And these two are Sibel and...” He looked at me, giving m
Dylan’s POVSibel looked at me, and I knew instantly she could see right through me. She always could, somehow. She tilted her head, studying me, her expression soft but firm. “Dylan,” she said, her voice calm yet filled with a determination that only made my worry grow. “I don’t want to leave. I want to stay here, with you. I want to fight with you.”Her words hung in the air between us, heavy and solid. And I felt something tighten in my chest. Sibel wanting to stay—part of me wanted that too, more than anything. But the other part, the part that knew how dangerous things had gotten, just wanted to keep her safe, away from all this madness.I looked away, trying to hide the conflict in my expression, but she wasn’t fooled. She never was. She stepped closer, and I felt her hand on my arm, grounding me. “Dylan,” she repeated, her tone softening just a bit, but that strength was still there. “Don’t you see? I’m not backing down. I know what’s at stake here, and I still want to be here.
Sibel’s POVBeta Ben was clear, and there was no mistaking his tone. He looked straight at me, then at Dylan, his face hard and unchanging. “I can’t approve this,” he said, firm but not harsh. “There are just too many risks,” he continued, shaking his head slowly, as if each word was weighing on him. “I’ve got to protect both of you. Alpha rights, this whole fight… it could turn ugly, and I don’t want to see either of you hurt.”Hearing him say that made my stomach twist. I felt like I’d been holding my breath, waiting for him to give us the green light, and now all that hope just deflated. I could feel disappointment creeping in, but I forced myself to stay quiet. I knew arguing wasn’t going to change anything. Beta Ben had made his decision, and we just had to accept it.Dylan looked at me, a sigh escaping him. “He’s afraid this is too much,” he said softly, more to himself than to me. “He thinks if we go forward, Alpha’s rights will end up hurting you more than helping.”I gave a s
Sibel’s POVThe moment I opened the door and saw Beta Ben, I couldn’t hide my shock. This old, frail man standing before me... he was the Beta of this pack? I almost couldn’t believe it. He looked so old, so tired, moving slowly as he hunched forward with a bent back. I’d never seen a Beta look like this. Betas were supposed to be strong, powerful, ready to stand by the Alpha, not hidden away in a place like this. The room itself was as rundown as he looked, stuck away in this hidden, deserted corner of the pack’s territory. How could Alpha Lionel let this happen to him? How could he turn his back on his own Beta, someone who must have served the pack so loyally for years? It didn’t make any sense. I tried to imagine what Beta Ben might have looked like in his younger days, when he was strong and ready to defend the pack. It hurt to see him like this, and I felt an anger rise in me toward Alpha Lionel. This wasn’t just neglect... it felt like cruelty. As I sat with Beta Ben, I could f
Dylan’s POVWe were stuck, not sure where to go next, so we thought of one last option: Lionel’s Beta. Maybe he would help us. Mr. and Mrs. Smith looked at me, worry in their eyes, and asked, "Are you sure he’d want to see you?" They sounded uncertain, almost like they knew something I didn’t.But what choice did we have? We had to take a chance, even if it was a long shot. I nodded. "We got to try." It was the only thing I could think to say, even though part of me wasn’t so sure either. With Mr. and Mrs. Smith guiding us, we set out to find where Beta Ben lived. It didn’t take too long, but his house was hidden away, tucked into a quiet part of the woods, like he wanted to be left alone. I took a deep breath as I walked up to the door, feeling the weight of the moment pressing on my shoulders. My hand hovered above the door, just for a second. I knocked, and then stepped back, waiting. There was silence. I could feel my heartbeat drumming in my ears, wondering if he’d even answer. F
Dylan’s POVEarlier, as soon as Sibel mentioned we’d need to head back to the pack early, I knew I had to reach out to Smith. I didn’t waste any time... I pulled out my phone and called him right away. Smith answered after a couple of rings, but I could tell from the way he said my name that he was caught off guard.“Dylan?” he said, his voice sounding puzzled. “Why are you calling? Weren’t you supposed to be away a while longer?”I paused, choosing my words carefully. Smith and I went way back; he knew me well enough to sense when something was up. Still, I hadn’t told him the real reason for wanting to return, and I knew that dropping it all at once would catch him by surprise.“It’s complicated,” I replied, trying to keep my voice steady. “There’s… something important I need to do in the Golden Crescent pack. It can’t wait any longer.” I paused, taking a breath, then continued, “I’m coming back to stop what’s happening to the Omegas. The way they’re being treated, it isn’t right. I
Sibel’s POVI was stunned by the sight that greeted me in the Golden Crescent pack. The suburbs were filled with bodies, women and children mostly, scattered on the ground as if left to rot. Some looked so thin, bones pressing tight against skin... they must’ve starved to death. Others had been killed, their bodies lifeless and cold. Each step I took felt heavy, the air stench with the scent of dead bodies. As we moved slowly through the streets, I noticed how empty the place felt, yet haunted, as if memories of those who’d suffered were still watching us. I couldn’t pull my gaze away from the heartbreaking sight. It felt like the whole world had abandoned them, left them in these dirt-streaked alleys to fend for themselves. There was no help, no hope, just silence. Finally, we left the outskirts behind and reached the heart of the Golden Crescent pack. It was like stepping into a completely different world. Suddenly, the dirty, crumbling buildings faded away, replaced by grand houses
