Sibel’s POV
A chilling silence fell over the gathering of wolves, their eyes fixed intently on the tense confrontation before them. I stood tall, my defiance palpable, my eyes blazing with fiery red intensity as I faced off against my adversary.
Cara, breathing in and out angrily, glared at me, her stance unwavering. Her authority was palpable. The pack watched in anticipation, knowing that one wrong move could spell disaster for the newcomer.
"Enough!" Cara's voice cut through the silence like a blade. "You dare challenge my authority, Omega? Who the hell do you think you are?"
Cara's stern expression wavered as she looked back at me. "Know this: if you step out of line again, there will be no mercy." Her words made the pack murmur at my audacity.
I was ready to speak, but before I could respond, Jolie stepped forward, her eyes pleading. She was younger, with a kind heart that often led her into the midst of conflict. Jolie's voice trembled, but her determination was evident.
"Please, Cara," Jolie begged, "spare her. She's new here. She doesn't understand the rules yet."
Cara's gaze shifted to Jolie, her expression unchanged. "Jolie," Cara began, her tone measured, "you can't even speak for yourself, and you're speaking for this low-life omega who can't mind her business? This newcomer must learn her place."
My eyes burned with defiance, but I remained silent.
"I beg of you, spare her, please," Jolie pleaded.
"Fine... I will spare her and let this slide on one condition. You will have to polish my shoe," Cara said.
Jolie stepped forward, thinking polishing a shoe wasn't a big deal, not even a punishment. But she thought wrong when she heard the next words from Cara's mouth.
"You won't use a rag to polish my shoes. Rather, you will use your tongue," Cara said.
I balled my fists. It's inhumane to do something like this. How can Cara bully a member of the pack like this? I thought.
"Fine, I'll do it," Jolie said. I shook my head in disagreement, not wanting Jolie to use her tongue to polish Cara's shoes. But Jolie knew it was the only way to be spared from all of this.
She knelt down and bent her head close to Cara's shoes, ready to lick them. But Cara did the unthinkable.
Cara spat on her shoes and raised them above Jolie's chin, putting them close to her mouth. "Lick it," Cara commanded.
I was too shocked, tears already pouring from Jolie's eyes as she was frozen by the shock of what Cara wanted her to do. I knew I couldn't let Jolie lick Cara's spit off her shoes. I couldn't possibly see the suffering of others, especially when they are voiceless. It was time to do something now.
I spotted a bucket of water close by and immediately kicked it, making the water splash on Cara's shoes. Cara turned around and gave me a deadly stare.
"You little imp... how dare you?! Who exactly do you think you are to challenge me?!" Cara snarled, and before I could react, she landed a cheek-breaking slap on my face, leaving a sting of pain on my cheek.
But I bit back my anger to maintain my cover. I couldn't possibly blow it, not now.
My lips twitched as I tried to suppress a smile. "Who is she to defy me?" Cara said, looking back at Jolie.
Jolie sobbed silently. "Please, Cara, forgive us," Jolie begged with teary eyes. "I will lick even the dirty water on your shoe. Please have mercy on us."
But Cara was not the forgiving type. "I will not show any more mercy on either of you," she said venomously. She then turned to one of the guards. "Take them out of the pack right now. I don't want to see their faces anymore, or I will personally cut off their heads."
The guards obeyed Cara's order and proceeded to grab me and Jolie. Cara turned her attention towards me. She raised her foot high and brought it towards my face.
Before the shoe could reach my face, I swiftly dodged away, narrowly missing being struck by Cara. This made Cara angrier because I had dodged the hit. She angrily raised her hand to slap me, her eyes blazing with fury.
But then she got a phone call which distracted her, she gave me one last stare before storming out of our sight angrily.
Twenty-four hours had passed since the confrontation with Cara. I needed some time to clear my head and focus on my training. As a warrior, I couldn't let my skills get rusty, especially not now. I sought out a quiet spot on the outskirts of the pack's territory, hoping to find some solitude.
As I began to train, my movements fluid and deliberate, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. But it was short-lived. Cara appeared, her presence announced by the sound of twigs snapping beneath her feet.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here," Cara sneered, her eyes gleaming with malice.
"P-please, Cara, I don't want trouble."
Cara sneered, her eyes gleaming with contempt. "You're a pathetic little thing, aren't you? Thinking you can defy me?"
I trembled, trying to maintain the charade. I didn't want to show my true self. It wasn't easy to pretend to be someone else, but I just had to do what I had to do to save the weakest amongst the pack. "N-no, Cara, I didn't mean to. I'll do anything, just please let's not do this. I'll do anything."
Cara raised an eyebrow. "Anything, huh? Well, we'll see about that. You're coming with me."
She dragged me back to the pack's gathering area, where the others were waiting.
Cara announced, "This little omega needs to learn her place. She'll be serving me personally from now on."
The pack members murmured, some looking at me with pity, others with disdain. I knew I had to keep up the act, no matter how hard it was. I couldn't let them suspect that I was anything more than a weak omega, but serving Cara was the last thing I'd ever do.
But I knew that if I protested, it wouldn't end well, so I was dragged back to Cara's quarters, my anger palpable. I knew I had to keep up the act, but serving Cara was the last thing I wanted to do. As we entered her quarters, Cara turned to me with a sneer.
"You'll be doing my laundry, cooking my meals, and cleaning my quarters. And if you so much as think about disobeying me, you'll suffer the consequences."
I nodded, trying to appear submissive. But inside, I was seething with anger and determination. I would not be broken by Cara's bullying.
"What if I say I won't do it?" I asked, determined.
"What?" She asked, surprised.
"I won't do it," I said, looking Cara straight in the eye. "I won't serve you or do your bidding."
Cara's expression turned red with rage. "You dare to defy me?" she spat. "You're just a lowly omega. You'll do as I say, or you'll suffer the consequences."
"I'd rather suffer the consequences," I said, my voice steady. "I won't be bullied or intimidated by you. I have rights too, Cara."
Cara sneered. "Rights? You have no rights. You're nothing but a weak, pathetic omega. And you'll do as I say, or you'll face the pack's punishment."
"I'm willing to take that risk," I said, with no fear. "I won't back down, Cara. I won't be your victim."
Cara's eyes narrowed. "Fine," she said. "You want to play it that way? Then let's play. But you'll regret defying me, Sibel. I promise you."
"Guards!" she called, her voice echoing through the quarters.
The doors burst open, and two large, menacing guards entered the room. They were clearly Cara's loyal followers, and they looked at me with a mixture of contempt and curiosity.
"Take her to the pack square and whip her," Cara spat, her eyes blazing with fury. "Let everyone see what happens when you defy me."
The guards dragged me out, through the winding corridors, and into the pack square. The sun was high overhead.
The pack members were gathered in the square, their faces a mix of curiosity and horror. Some of them looked away, unable to watch, while others leaned forward, eager to see me punished.
Cara stood on the steps of the pack hall, her eyes fixed on me. "This is what happens when you defy me," she repeated, her voice ringing out across the square. "This is what happens when you challenge my authority."
The guards threw me to the ground, and one of them raised a whip. I closed my eyes, preparing for the pain.
But just as the whip was about to fall, a voice rang out across the square.
"What is going on here?" a voice interrupted. Cara breathed in and out.
"This girl chose to disrespect me and dared to defy my orders," Cara said.
"She would surely be punished for that..." the voice said, walking to where I was. I recognized the familiar scent of the man and then raised my head and saw him. He was the Beta of my father.
I was happy at least; this is Beta Leo, my father's Beta. He would save the day, but when he walked towards where I was, he gave me a slap that left me asking myself. " why would he slap me, knowing fully well who I was?
Sibel’s POVI stood frozen, my eyes locked on Beta Thayer's furious face. "Disrespectful Omega!" he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "How dare you challenge the authority of your superior?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Why was he talking to me like this? Did he really not recognize me? I searched his eyes for any familiarity, but they seemed to bore into me as if I were a stranger. Was he under Cara's control, or was something else driving his behavior? A shiver ran down my spine as Cara's smirk grew wider. But why was he doing this? Or was Beta Leo just playing along?I was utterly surprised and wondered why Beta Leo couldn't remember me. What could be the problem? Why didn't he recognize me? I managed to stand up, still in shock, and stared at my reflection in the water. The design on the water's surface revealed a stranger staring back at me. My appearance had changed, transformed by the potion I had taken. It was meant to alter my identity, but I had no idea it would
Chapter FourDylan POVThe angry sound of brushing and scrubbing yanked me from the edges of sleep. I groaned, rolling over, but the noise continued, persistent and loud. Sitting up, I rubbed my eyes, feeling the weight of exhaustion still clinging to my body. I stretched and yawned, trying to shake off the grogginess, then stood and walked to the window. Pulling the curtains apart, I let the warm sunlight spill into the room, hoping it would clear my head. But the peace of the morning was shattered by that relentless scrubbing sound. Who the hell was making such a racket at this hour? I could feel my annoyance growing with every step I took toward the noise. My muscles tensed, ready to confront whoever dared to disturb my rest.I followed the sound down the hallway and pushed open the bathroom door. And then I stopped short, the words dying on my tongue.Sibel.There she was, kneeling beside the toilet with a brush in hand, scrubbing the porcelain with a fierce determination. I stared
Sibel’s POVDylan had already left some minutes ago. I hoped he would be able to investigate the higher-ups, the ones who were doing the control, the ones who were bullying the weakest, the omegas. The investigation must be conducted in the, not to allow anybody to suspect. As a skilled and agile warrior, I was the type of person to adapt to any situation given the circumstances. However, I had never cleaned a toilet before, and the sudden task had left me feeling drained. My waist ached from the strenuous scrubbing, and I stood up to stretch, trying to alleviate the discomfort. As I turned to arch my back, I caught sight of Jolie standing in the doorway, her presence sudden and unexpected."I'm sorry for scaring you, Sibel," Jolie said, her voice softening as she approached me. I drop the brush, and then clean my sweat with the back of my palm, my expression icy, and I asked her coldly, "What are you doing here?" Jolie's eyes locked onto mine, her gaze filled with concern."I came bec
Sibel's POVMy short stay here as been completely baffling, and learning about the mistratement of omega's have left me in shock.I struggle to comprehend the extent of this mistreatment and how many innocent lives have been affected by such cruelty. The sheer number of victims and perpetrators is shocking, and I find myself questioning everything. The fact that I've already fallen prey to Cara's bullying, and Beta Leo, whom I thought was a good person, is involved, is a harsh reality I'm still grappling with.My mind reels as I try to make sense of of the cycle of hurts, and abuse and I wonder how it is allowed to happen in this kind of environment.I realized that these atrocities had been occurring in the dark, hidden from the higher authorities. I felt a surge of gratitude towards the moon goddess for guiding me to this place, for leading me to lay low and observe, unknowingly. It was as if fate had brought me here to uncover the secrets that lay hidden beneath the surface. I could
Sibel’s POV"'If you don't,' Cara threatened, her voice dripping with malice. But Jolie stood her ground, her eyes flashing with defiance. 'We won't let you humiliate us, Cara,' she said, her voice firm.'We're not the ones who stole your precious shoes. Why can't you get that through your head?' I added, my frustration boiling over.'We weren't even around today. You were there when Beta Leo sent me to wash and scrub the toilets, remember? When would I have had the time to steal from you?' I demanded, my hands on my hips. 'You're just trying to find an excuse to torment us, but it won't work. We won't be bullied into confessing to something we didn't do.'"Cara's face turned red with rage as I continued to defend myself. She snarled, her eyes blazing with fury, and snatched up the whip that had slipped from her grasp. With a swift motion, she threw it at me, intent on striking me down. But Jolie flung herself at me, wrapping her arms around me in a protective embrace. The whip bit dee
Sibel’s POVI can never forget that day. The day everything fell apart. The day I lost my father—the strongest, most courageous alpha I'd ever known. He was the alpha son of our original pack. Everyone believed he would become a great leader, and he seemed destined for it. His strength, his resolve, his wisdom—they all spoke of the alpha he would one day become. But life has a way of twisting fate. It was during a conflict between packs that he met her—my mother. She was a fierce, beautiful omega from a rival pack, and their love shouldn't have been possible. Yet, somehow, it was.I still don't know how they managed it, but they fell for each other in the middle of all that chaos. Their love was a defiance against the rules that governed our world. And they left everything behind—his birthright, her home—just to build a new life together, away from the politics and the bloodshed. For a time, they were happy. We were happy. A small village became our refuge, far from the packs that had
Sibel’s POVPaul's stutter worsened, his voice trembling as he struggled to comprehend what was happening. "W-who are you, Sibel? W-what's going on?""You see it now, don’t you? You’re finally seeing the real me."The way Paul stuttered made it clear... he had finally recognized me. Relief and happiness surged through me, knowing that at last, he saw me for who I truly was. After all this time, he acknowledged my true identity."Now that the truth is out, you can see who I really am, can’t you?" I said, my newfound confidence lifting me tall. I held my head high, ready to accept his acknowledgment. But then, in a sudden and unexpected shift, Paul’s voice changed, and he burst out laughing. "You think I’m a fool? Are you seriously trying to dupe me? Do you take me for a brainless, gullible dimwit?" His words caught me off guard, and surprise washed over me."Cursing you is nothing," he sneered. "You’re not even worth shouting at." Beta Paul’s voice took on a new edge, dripping with disd
Dylan’s POVI heard a knock on my office door. "Come in," I called out, not bothering to look up from the paperwork strewn across my desk. The door creaked open, and a woman entered with a polite smile. She held up a file in her hand. "The file you've been asking for is right here. Everything you need is inside," she said.I nodded, distracted. "Okay, thank you." She placed the file on the table, gave a quick nod, and slipped out, closing the door behind her. I barely noticed her leave, too caught up in the storm of thoughts swirling in my head. All day, I’d been buried in trying to uncover the truth, to find out who was behind the vicious rumors about the omega killings. I grabbed the file, opening it with a flick of my wrist, eager to find a clue — any clue. But after hours of reading, my eyes scanning every line, every detail, all I found was frustration. Nothing in this file was of any help. Not a single lead. Nothing useful. The frustration boiled over, and I slammed my fist on th
Dylan’s POVWe were almost at the border. Just a few more steps, and we’d be back on safe ground, or so I thought. The night was quiet, too quiet, and then, out of nowhere, they came... soldiers, a whole group of them, bursting out of the shadows. Theybwere with weapons and they surround us before we even knew what was happening."Don't move!" one of them barked, his voice hard andnut said it cleared enough for us to hear. I froze for just a second, my mind racing. But then instinct kicked in, and I stepped in front of Sibel, putting her behind me where she’d be safe. I could feel her hand clutching my shirt, and I could tell she was as tense as I was.I raised my hands, not surrendering, just ready. Ready to fight if it came down to it. “Who are you?” I called out, my voice steady, though inside, I was on edge. “Let us go!”One of the soldiers, the one who seemed to be in charge, stepped forward. He took his time, like he wanted me to see him coming. His face was hard... With no expr
Sibel’s POVSilas was nothing like Beta Ben. The second I met him, I knew it. Beta Ben followed every word Alpha Lionel said, not a single doubt in him, but Silas? He was different. There was something fierce about him, a fire that felt almost dangerous. You could tell just by looking at him... he was angry. Angry with the way things were, the way people were suffering under Alpha Lionel’s rule. He looked like someone ready to stand up and fight, not just sit back and follow orders. We sat down across from him, and I could see the frustration on his face. It was like he was holding back something he wanted to shout out loud but couldn’t. He spoke low, his voice filled with emotion.“Omegas are getting bullied,” he said, shaking his head. “People are dying. No one’s safe, not with the way things are going now.”I listened, feeling the pain in his voice, but also the anger. And honestly, I felt it too. I knew how bad things had gotten, knew that the weak were suffering, and it didn’t si
Dylan’s POVSmith looked at us, sighing as if he’d expected all the questions we were throwing his way. After a pause, he leaned in and shared an information... It was as if it was our last hope. “There’s someone who might be able to help you,” he said. “A beta named Silas. He has a real heart for his people. They trust him, and Alpha Lionel has a bit of respect for him too.”Sibel and I exchanged glances, a glimmer of hope flickering between us. If there was even a small chance Silas could lend us a hand, we had to try. With Smith’s guidance, we set out to find this Beta Silas. After a short while, we reached a modest but well-kept house on the outskirts of the pack’s main territory. Smith knocked, and soon enough, a young man opened the door. He looked a few years younger than Beta Ben, his sharp features softened by a steady and thoughtful expression.“This is Beta Silas,” Smith introduced, then added with a respectful nod, “And these two are Sibel and...” He looked at me, giving m
Dylan’s POVSibel looked at me, and I knew instantly she could see right through me. She always could, somehow. She tilted her head, studying me, her expression soft but firm. “Dylan,” she said, her voice calm yet filled with a determination that only made my worry grow. “I don’t want to leave. I want to stay here, with you. I want to fight with you.”Her words hung in the air between us, heavy and solid. And I felt something tighten in my chest. Sibel wanting to stay—part of me wanted that too, more than anything. But the other part, the part that knew how dangerous things had gotten, just wanted to keep her safe, away from all this madness.I looked away, trying to hide the conflict in my expression, but she wasn’t fooled. She never was. She stepped closer, and I felt her hand on my arm, grounding me. “Dylan,” she repeated, her tone softening just a bit, but that strength was still there. “Don’t you see? I’m not backing down. I know what’s at stake here, and I still want to be here.
Sibel’s POVBeta Ben was clear, and there was no mistaking his tone. He looked straight at me, then at Dylan, his face hard and unchanging. “I can’t approve this,” he said, firm but not harsh. “There are just too many risks,” he continued, shaking his head slowly, as if each word was weighing on him. “I’ve got to protect both of you. Alpha rights, this whole fight… it could turn ugly, and I don’t want to see either of you hurt.”Hearing him say that made my stomach twist. I felt like I’d been holding my breath, waiting for him to give us the green light, and now all that hope just deflated. I could feel disappointment creeping in, but I forced myself to stay quiet. I knew arguing wasn’t going to change anything. Beta Ben had made his decision, and we just had to accept it.Dylan looked at me, a sigh escaping him. “He’s afraid this is too much,” he said softly, more to himself than to me. “He thinks if we go forward, Alpha’s rights will end up hurting you more than helping.”I gave a s
Sibel’s POVThe moment I opened the door and saw Beta Ben, I couldn’t hide my shock. This old, frail man standing before me... he was the Beta of this pack? I almost couldn’t believe it. He looked so old, so tired, moving slowly as he hunched forward with a bent back. I’d never seen a Beta look like this. Betas were supposed to be strong, powerful, ready to stand by the Alpha, not hidden away in a place like this. The room itself was as rundown as he looked, stuck away in this hidden, deserted corner of the pack’s territory. How could Alpha Lionel let this happen to him? How could he turn his back on his own Beta, someone who must have served the pack so loyally for years? It didn’t make any sense. I tried to imagine what Beta Ben might have looked like in his younger days, when he was strong and ready to defend the pack. It hurt to see him like this, and I felt an anger rise in me toward Alpha Lionel. This wasn’t just neglect... it felt like cruelty. As I sat with Beta Ben, I could f
Dylan’s POVWe were stuck, not sure where to go next, so we thought of one last option: Lionel’s Beta. Maybe he would help us. Mr. and Mrs. Smith looked at me, worry in their eyes, and asked, "Are you sure he’d want to see you?" They sounded uncertain, almost like they knew something I didn’t.But what choice did we have? We had to take a chance, even if it was a long shot. I nodded. "We got to try." It was the only thing I could think to say, even though part of me wasn’t so sure either. With Mr. and Mrs. Smith guiding us, we set out to find where Beta Ben lived. It didn’t take too long, but his house was hidden away, tucked into a quiet part of the woods, like he wanted to be left alone. I took a deep breath as I walked up to the door, feeling the weight of the moment pressing on my shoulders. My hand hovered above the door, just for a second. I knocked, and then stepped back, waiting. There was silence. I could feel my heartbeat drumming in my ears, wondering if he’d even answer. F
Dylan’s POVEarlier, as soon as Sibel mentioned we’d need to head back to the pack early, I knew I had to reach out to Smith. I didn’t waste any time... I pulled out my phone and called him right away. Smith answered after a couple of rings, but I could tell from the way he said my name that he was caught off guard.“Dylan?” he said, his voice sounding puzzled. “Why are you calling? Weren’t you supposed to be away a while longer?”I paused, choosing my words carefully. Smith and I went way back; he knew me well enough to sense when something was up. Still, I hadn’t told him the real reason for wanting to return, and I knew that dropping it all at once would catch him by surprise.“It’s complicated,” I replied, trying to keep my voice steady. “There’s… something important I need to do in the Golden Crescent pack. It can’t wait any longer.” I paused, taking a breath, then continued, “I’m coming back to stop what’s happening to the Omegas. The way they’re being treated, it isn’t right. I
Sibel’s POVI was stunned by the sight that greeted me in the Golden Crescent pack. The suburbs were filled with bodies, women and children mostly, scattered on the ground as if left to rot. Some looked so thin, bones pressing tight against skin... they must’ve starved to death. Others had been killed, their bodies lifeless and cold. Each step I took felt heavy, the air stench with the scent of dead bodies. As we moved slowly through the streets, I noticed how empty the place felt, yet haunted, as if memories of those who’d suffered were still watching us. I couldn’t pull my gaze away from the heartbreaking sight. It felt like the whole world had abandoned them, left them in these dirt-streaked alleys to fend for themselves. There was no help, no hope, just silence. Finally, we left the outskirts behind and reached the heart of the Golden Crescent pack. It was like stepping into a completely different world. Suddenly, the dirty, crumbling buildings faded away, replaced by grand houses
