They stayed in the same position for the next few minutes. Margarette was lost in her thoughts whilst Xavier went back to work on his laptop, a woman sitting on his lap. Smelling her scent makes his heart go calm for some reason. He wasn't usually like that. He's not into physical contact nor was he a clingy man. He's cold and stoic, unable to express himself and cannot even interact well in a normal conversation.

A knock from the door broke the comfortable silence between them. A man wearing a black outfit and a gun in his side went in and bowed his head.

"Good noon, sir. I am here to deliver the words that the goods have already arrived at the warehouse," he said in Russian language.

"Complete?" Xavier replied.

"Yes, sir. 15 trucks of it have been sorted out already. We were just waiting for you to see them yourself."

"Alright. I'll be there in a minute."

The man once again nodded his head before storming out. Xavier next stood up and put on his suit jacket.

"W-Where are you headi

The six of them went to the dining hall to have dinner together. The house maids could literally feel the thick atmosphere around them as the powerful family walked in. They were all tall, intimidating, sophisticated, powerful, just... ruthless. As the former head of the Ivanov sat down on the head of the long table. He was so young and handsome for his age. Alexander Ivanov, the former leader of the Ivanov Mafia. After his eldest son, Xavier, reached the age of 25, he passed down his position and let his son take over the family business. Xavier was the perfect fit to be the family head. He was capable of everything that his father expected from him."Father, how is your health?" Xavier asked casually over the dinner. His father remained expressionless and elegant as he sat at the head of the table. He was tall and lean."I'm good.""I've heard that you went to China last week.""I did. I've met a couple of businessmen to negotiate with. They're trying to send their daughters to be y

Xavier's father and siblings finally made their way to their home, which was both a sad and relieved part for Margarette. She's sad that they were coming back to their home that quickly without her spending more time with Reezha and Areesh. They were the same age and she thought that they could be friends somehow. But on the other hand, she's relieved that they're no longer in the mansion. The atmosphere was tense and thick, making her suffocate. Margarette watched as Xavier loosened his neck tie and released a sigh. "What a nice evening," he sarcastically said. She was quite far from him to be able to hear what he was saying. But it's already enough for her to see his face."Sir, the news had already spread so it was most likely that your father would come to visit for confirmation," a man said from behind Xavier."That was the plan, but still it was too soon." Xavier underestimated his father. He didn't think that Alexander would immediately come and confirm the rumours."The news

Margarette woke up with a feeling that someone was watching her. She wasn't used to being watched like that, and so she opened her eyes. However, when she opened her heavy eyelids, she was shocked to find a face she never imagined to see early in the morning. He smiled charmingly, his blue eyes sparkling from the sunlight emitting from the open blinds on the windows. "Good morning, sleepyhead."She let out a cute yawn as she rubbed her adorable eyes through her fingers. "Z-Zeus?" she asked, confused. She looked around and found out that she was still in the same room as she remembered she went last night. She's in Xavier's room after what they did last night. Speaking of, her eyes widened as she scanned her body.He chuckled. "Don't worry, you're not naked here, dear."She realised that she was already dressed. She remembered well that she went to sleep last night without wearing anything. Someone had probably put some clothes on for her. Hopefully it was Xavier, though. She smiled s

"What the heck did you do?" Xavier asked angrily at his brother who was sitting casually on the couch, watching television as if he didn't do anything wrong at all.He glanced at his older brother and shrugged off his shoulders. "What do you mean? I didn't do anything wrong.""Stop bullshitting me, Zeus, and tell me what happened." Xavier gritted his teeth, annoyed that his brother was obviously being brat once again. His temple twitched and he could feel his veins ready to pop out of his skin."I already told you, I did nothing."Xavier clenched his jaws. He went in front of his younger brother and pulled his collar up. Xavier's face was dead serious and his eyes glinted with contempt and visible threat. But Zeus was not even faltered about it."Just. What. The. Fucking. Hell. Did you do?" he gritted out, emphasising every word that he said whilst glaring intently at his brother. A murderous aura began to emit from his body as he tightened his grip on his brother. Xavier wasn't bein

Clarise couldn't do anything as Margarette begged. She was torn between letting the young woman go or not. But in the end, she lost it. Margarette was just too hard to say no with. Especially when she pulled off such an adorable look. "Are you sure you're okay? You still need to rest, ma'am." "It's okay. I've had enough rest already," Margarette said as she put her jacket on. Clarise had this worried look on her face as she watched the young lady get ready to go meet Mr. Ivanov. She wasn't sure if her decision of letting Margarette go there was a good idea or not. But she had already said yes. She sighed. Whatever, she will just make sure that Margarette will not see that "thing". The basement has several rooms, by the way. Most of their men rest there. Besides that, Xavier has his own office in that quarter. She just hopes that her boss won't get angry because she took Margarette to that place. "Let's go?" Margarette said nervously. Her maid nodded her head. Together, they exi

Margarette felt as if her soul was leaving her body. She was trembling as her skin went white. Her heartbeat was beating so fast that she might have a heart attack any moment from now. A gun pointed at someone's head right in front of her own eyes. And it wasn't even just someone, it was Clarise whom she considered as her friend in this establishment since she got here. Xavier was furious, to say the least. Anyone could feel the murderous intent of his eyes and the suffocating aura he emits. His eyes were bloodshot as he looked at Clarise with such a look that will make your knees tremble. And Clarise was the perfect example of that right now. She was trembling so much in fear, as if at any moment she would piss on her own pants. Cold sweat trickled down on her back as she stood motionless with a gun pointed against her temple. "Clarise..." Margarette uttered, hopeless. Her personal maid shouldn't be the one to blame. It was her. She was the one who insisted on coming here, not the

Xavier has this soft, gentle smile on his face as he gazes at her. Margarette trembled in fear. He was unrecognisable. It was as if she was looking at a stranger in front of her. "S-Sir..." she whispered, a lump suddenly clogged in her throat. She doesn't know what to say. The longer she stared at him, the more she couldn't recognize him. Her palpitations were increasing but at the same she was getting more and more pale. "You're such a temptress, doll. Wouldn't you agree?" he huskily asked. His arm was supporting her weak body whilst his other hand was caressing her pale face. His eyes burned with false tenderness. "W-What are you going to d-do...?" she shakily said. Even though afraid, she didn't look away from him. He suddenly smirked. "How bold," he uttered, amused. All of a sudden, his hand wrapped itself around her throat. He lifted her up by holding her neck, suffocating her. Her eyes widened as her feet began to leave the ground. "What am I going to do, you say?" he asked

Her body was trembling, but it was no longer because of fear, rather it was because of the utmost pleasure she was getting from what he did to her. It wasn't a bad feeling at all. In fact, although she's embarrassed to say this, she enjoyed it very much. So much that she's still shaking up until now, unable to recover from the pleasure he gave.He chuckled in amusement. He licked his fingers clean as he stared darkly at Margarette. His eyes were flaming with desire. His cock was throbbing painfully in his pants. She wasn't able to fully recover her strength when she suddenly felt a movement on top of her. Shocked, she stared wide-eyed as Xavier took out his huge member."W-Wait—" he cut her off."Hush... aren't you feeling bad? I've made you come. It's time for you to repay it." He held his cock and stroked it slowly. Her attention went to it and she gulped at how big it was. Even though it was literally deep buried inside her last night, she is still not used to it and it still hurts

“Ma’am, your husband has already left,” Emma said, her tone cautious as she addressed me. These days, I wasn't in the best of moods, not because of any lingering sickness, but due to the nagging feeling that something was being kept from me. “He has left for work, and he’ll probably be back a week from now or so.” I nodded silently, then took a sip of the tea she had prepared for me. The revelation that my husband had left bothered me, but I chose not to show it. Why should I care or worry? After all, he didn’t even come to bid farewell himself, so why should I react as if I were genuinely disappointed. “Tell me, Emma,” I uttered, my tone seeking answers. “What were we like as a married couple before I lost my memories?” Caught off guard, Emma hesitated, her usually composed demeanor faltering for a moment. I closed my eyes briefly, taking a deep breath to steady myself before opening them again to face her. “I-I really didn’t know much, ma’am," she admitted, her words coming out

I was back to square one. My husband appeared to be keeping something from me, and I couldn't shake that feeling. When I inquired if he was worried, he didn't respond. Instead, he abruptly left the room, seemingly ignoring my question completely. I felt bewildered and offended. Is he truly my husband? Why isn't he behaving like one?Following that incident, he didn't visit or contact me to check on my well-being. I felt disappointed. But then again, it couldn't be helped.Days passed, and the absence of my husband weighed on me. The unanswered questions and the growing void in our interactions left me grappling with a sense of isolation. I yearned for some connection, for reassurance, but he remained elusive."He hasn't visited or even checked on me. Is this how a husband should act?" I questioned, my voice tinged with a mixture of frustration and sadness.Emma, always composed, offered a reassuring smile. "People cope with difficult situations in different ways, Miss Ophelia. I took a deep breath as I followed him into his office. The man, who claimed to be my husband, seated himself at the desk with casual ease. I stood there, feeling like a fool, waiting for his next command. His expression soured when he saw me hesitating. "What are you doing?" he demanded, his jaws clenching in annoyance. I blinked, my mind still trying to process the overwhelming information he had just laid upon me. I was shocked and utterly disoriented, unable to pull myself together and act with a rational mind. I felt like a leaf, caught in the unpredictable currents of this surreal situation. "What?" he snapped. "Come here." I slowly and reluctantly walked over to his side, my thoughts still swirling with the revelations. When I was close enough, my husband extended his arms towards me. I hesitated, glancing at his outstretched arm. "I won't hurt you, okay? So come here now," he said, annoyance evident in his voice. Biting my lower lip, cheeks burning with embarrassment, I g

Staring into his stunning blue eyes, which revealed no emotion, I couldn't help but notice his tall, masculine figure—undeniably handsome and attractive. Despite his physical perfection, I hesitated to accept him as my husband. In my dreams, the man who claimed that role held me with warmth and tenderness, his gaze filled with affection. The contrast between those dreams and the current reality was stark. The man in front of me felt distant, his demeanor cold and uninviting. An invisible barrier seemed to separate us, making it hard for me to connect the dream figure with the person standing before me. The discrepancy between the dream's warmth and the real-world chill heightened my confusion and left me questioning the authenticity of this man's claim to be my husband.I must have stood there like an idiot for what felt like an eternity. My gaze was fixed on him, my lips parting and closing like a gaping fish. Describing my state as surprised would be a severe understatement—I was ut

It felt as though the world had turned upside down, my head throbbing painfully as I attempted to recall the events that transpired during my time in a coma. The last tangible memory I could grasp was being in... a dark room. And beyond that point, my recollections became an impenetrable fog, leaving me grappling with the disorienting void that stretched between the past and my current state of consciousness.I gazed at the coffee cradled in my hands, its warmth and the sweet aroma wafting up, stirring a nostalgic feeling within me. Yet, my mind struggled to unravel the threads of memory, unable to pinpoint when or where I had last experienced this sensation. Was this scenario familiar, or was it a moment my consciousness had yet to encounter?“It’s time for your medicine now, ma’am,” Emma said as she handed me the pills that I have been taking for a month. I jolted awake, gasping for breath, my eyes fluttering open to the harsh reality of my bedroom. Sweat trickled down from my forehead, soaking through the sheets as I grappled with the remnants of a haunting dream—a nightmare that lingered in my waking mind. As I lay there, heart racing and senses on high alert, I couldn't shake off the lingering unease that the dream left in its wake. The echo of a distant scream, the shadows that danced malevolently in the corners of my mind—everything felt vivid and disconcerting. I took a deep breath, attempting to shake off the remnants of the nightmare. Yet, the tendrils of fear still clung stubbornly, leaving me with an unsettling awareness that the boundary between dreams and reality was thinner than I had ever imagined. "Good morning," a voice suddenly exclaimed, prompting me to turn my gaze towards its source. There stood a woman in her mid-twenties, adorned in what appeared to be a maid's uniform.
